Can someone please clarify what the advantages of getting a Guess Badge is because i do not want to pay for it if it is nothing too exciting. Also is there a limit when registration ends because i am trying to register soon but waiting on two people to see if they can go so i can pay.
Guest Badge*
You only need to worry about a guest badge if you’re not planning to play in the normal tournaments (SF4, Tekken 6, etc.). If you’re playing in any of the main tournaments don’t worry about the guest badge, you won’t need it.
The only way you’d need/want a guest badge is if you’re only coming for the side tournaments (Smash Melee, SNK fighters, BlazBlue, etc.), or just want to watch and maybe play casuals.
You can technically do emergency registration on-site Fri/Sat morning, but as we all know, the line will be ridiculous. To avoid the long wait in line, you can pre-register up until probably about a week or so before the tournament.
jedi robb should be able to give you an exact date on when the pre-reg ends.
No set date yet on closing pre-reg… we will probably shut it down at the beginning of June so we can build all the pools, etc. We will announce that in advance, of course.
Day of/Emergency registrations get sprinkled into the pools where we can fit them.
As Dogg said, Guest Badges are only for those who will not compete in any of the sanctioned tournament events but want access to the casual/side-events and expo for the weekend.

Can you give any kind of assurance that these tournaments (especially SF4) will finish on time/at a reasonable time on Sunday?
I have work early Monday morning followed by a friend’s wedding that night, and it would be difficult to get that Monday off. Please let me know what’s up with the schedule.
We can’t set an official schedule until we know final numbers for all of the games. However, here’s a link with a listing of which games will be played on each day:

We’re finalizing MK rules right now. They will be community standard rules, but it seems there’s an issue with Wii lag if you do 4 players in certain modes. I’ll post here as soon as they’re finalized.
We run a very tight tournament. While we expect a large turnout for SF4, we will have access to extra setups if we get even more players than we currently expect.
You should be safe flying out Sunday evening (I’d guestimate no earlier than 4-5pm). The Convention Center is really close to the airport, so it’s a short drive there as soon as the tournament is over.
