I agree. I was just pointing out the faulty logic in ID01s post. After playing for a few hours tonight I really truly feel that for my own game, I really could use a 3 frame jab. It doesn’t need to combo to anything, I just know that shit that other characters are jabbing out of is hitting me and it’s pretty stupid. I’d actually be okay with just that, bringing back the OG lp palm, restoring kongo to it’s glory, and fixing the hit confirms.
While we are on the topic of wishlists: make backtoss a command move that could have EX properties. The toss itself could do damage (if you let them land), but now you have another form of mixup opportunity when attacking.
I agree 100% along with his hit confirm working properly because apparently the japanese are saying it still wiffs at times. clmk being a command normal would really help gouken and thats all I really want right now. I want more punish ability!
I mean, on the flipside, he may gain a hitconfirm if cl.MK becomes a command normal, seeing as c.LP is +3 on hit, and it could potentially result in him getting a hitconfirm into LP palm, but that remains to be seen exactly how useful that’d be depending on LP palm’s hitbox buff.
No no no. Cl.st.mk should be his regular Mk and Far version be the command normal. It would be more easier to utilitize and more reaction based rather than pressing forward for it. Not to mention ease for possible links. Plus we would have to sacrifies down back or back motion for it. Street11 had the best idea for this dilemma, but I’d hardly doubt it will happen(implying Street11 idea.).
I think the reasoning behind having cl. st, mk a command normal is it is a lot easier to combo into palm after using it b/c you are already holding forward.
No, the reason behind it is so that we can use it without someone needing to be right in our face. That move actually has pretty good range and a nice hitbox. Right now the only way to use our “3 frame normal that will help us deal with some fighters better” is to hope someone fucks up within the proximity range that sets off that attack.
If we had command of when it could be used we’d have a bigger area in front of us to shift momentum, reverse pressure, or punish something unsafe.
