Detroit, MI. Tournaments during February!

Alright, heres a listing of the tournaments coming up this month. All of these tournaments are being held at the Planet X Game Center, the location of which can be found at www.planetxgamecenter.com

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Tournament

Date: 2/3/07
Time: Registration 5:00pm,
First match 6:00pm
Format: Double Elimination
Price: $10 per entrant
Due to the enormous success of the previous 3rd Strike tournament we threw in January,
we have decided to bring it back for another go around! This tournament will be played on
our 50’’ Hi-def projector on the Xbox, for optimal gaming conditions.

WE WILL BE SUPPLYING
CONVERTERS FOR
THOSE WHO ONLY HAVE
JOYSTICKS THAT ARE
ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH
THE PS2.

Only have a PS2 stick? No problem! We will be supplying adaptors that will allow your stick to be played the way it was meant to be played!

OFFICIAL RULES

Entrants that wish to use joysticks or specialized controllers may do so, however, any controller with programmable buttons or turbo functions will not be allowed.

Button Macros are not allowed (No Kick*3 or L.P.+L.K., or anything similar)

No game breaking glitches.

Each match will consist of best 2 out of 3 games, with each game being best 2 out of 3 rounds.

Each match will have a 99 second time limit and neither player will have any handicaps.

The winner of a game in a match MUST keep the character they won with. That player may, however, reselect their Super Arts. Once the match is concluded, the player may then reselect their character for the next match.

The loser of a game in a match may, but is not required to, reselect their character. The loser may also reselect their Super Arts.

Our staff may disqualify any entrant for not following the above guidelines, or for showing poor sportsmanship. In the event of a disqualification, there will be no refunds.

Prize Structure

1st Place: 70% of the pot
2nd Place: 30% of the pot
3rd Place: $10

$5 of each players entry fee is added directly to the pot.

Super Smash Bros. Melee

This tournament will be played on our 50’’ hi-def projector on the Gamecube system.
Date: 2/4/07
Time: Registration 1:00pm,
First match 2:00pm
Format: Double Elimination
Price: $10 per entrant
Planet X will not be supplying controllers at this event. Please bring your own if you wish to participate!

Items will be turned off.

You guys know that minor differences in the Xbox ver mean it’s not tourney standard, right? Not trying to rag but Playstations can’t be that hard to find?

I mean I don’t live anywhere near here, but seriously. 3rd Strike on Xbox with converters played on a projector. LAGATHON. I wouldn’t put money on that no way.

The projector has been tested and there is ZERO delay between the inputs on both the converters and the projector. The xbox version was selected because thats whats available. These arent exactly big money tournies here, but we are expecting a pretty good turnout.

Xbox must be really popular in Michigan.
