Iām not the best at Halo style pvp, but I know enough to keep my K/D raito positive.
Destinyās pvp is basically Halo with CoD āAim down sightsā controls.
First off, try to play with friends, especially ones who talk. Playing with randoms is definitely a handicap.
Auto Rifle and Shotgun is the best weapon combo. Find an Auto rifle with high stability(low recoil), and aim for the head. Shotguns that increase range, slide distance, or reduced pellet spread are best(some do all three). High capacity mags are also better, a lot of times you wont have enough time to reload after a 1v1 encounter.
A shotgun blast followed immediately with melee is the fastest way to kill someone whoās in your face. This is a staple of Halo multiplayer ever since Halo 2.
A lot of FPS multiplayer is about not standing in bad places. Watch radar. Donāt wander into the middle of the map. Stay around your teammates. If no teammates are around, then the spawns probably flipped and/or youāre in enemy territory. Even if your team sucks, use them as shields and indicators of where the enemy is.
Avoid 2v1 encounters unless you have a heavy weapon ready. Survivability after one kill is low in this game.
Another term used a lot in Halo that also applies to Destiny is āone shotā, which basically means an enemy player is close to death. An enemy is āone shotā when there shield is down because one more headshot will kill them. Grenade splash damage, sniper body shotā¦etc will kill a player who is one shot. Most players are one shot after a 1v1 encounter. If a player has no white health bar above their name, they are one shot. Prioritize these targets.
If you get the drop on someone, donāt give away your position(aka shoot them) unless you know you have enough time to kill them. If you shoot and they get around a corner before you drop their shields, donāt chase them.
Learn the map layout, there is usually more than one path to an area. Try flanking, and donāt flank alone if you can help it. Donāt always go the same way, especially if you keep getting killed there. Avoid the ārevenge killā mentality, good players will take advantage of this.
For Control game types, as stated earlier, B Flag is the most important. Itās almost always the choke point. A and C are spawn flags which are easier to take and hold. At the start of the game all the flags are neutral, making them faster to capture. Once a flag is taken you must neutralize it before you cap it. This is why the 1st initial capture of B flag is so important and really sets the pace for the rest of the match.
Winning in Control can also destroy youāre K/D ratio. People love to kill whore in these game types, and if your team is shitty beyond hope, then kill whoring might be all you have left.

So apparently I can no longer quote people on SRK for some reasonā¦
Anyway, @"Kalyx triaD"ā Iām using a Painted Suros CGB-47 auto rifle, Suros MKB-51 shotty, and Hannibal-E machine gun.
Striker is almost maxed out but I have my stuff set to emphasize recovery and toughness, with the peek of regenerating health with melee kills.
I donāt have any legendary or exotic gear yet, but now that Iām back from a work trip and will be off for the next four days to level some shit up.
Titan is already tough by nature, I would set him up for speed and perhaps recovery. Speed constitutes your jump height and walk speed.
Speed also adds more chance to get in peopleās faces for Titan melee, which doesnāt track nearly as well as Warlock.
With extra jump height you can use the double jump to set up the missile version of FoH.
While the shoulder rush/tiger knee is good, the shield during sprint is better.
Zone enemies with either pulse or thunder grenade, but they arenāt as strong as the other zoning grenades. Best use them to keep guys in check or soften an area for buddies to arrive.
Consider how to use your weapon and armorās perks in conjunction with your class set-up.
IMO, the Void subclass is better for Titans. This is just from observation, though. Iāll get to it after I max out Striker.
While Titan is only my secondary I ho[e these things help.
First of all, you need the FPS movement dominated, because this is the important part for me, you need to learn how, when, where to move in the map or what jump will you make, I suggest you to use PVE to learn your jumps and movement in general, once youāre ready, jump on PVP.
First 100 games for a FPS-Noob will always be crushed, youāll get destroyed unless youāre smart and have common sense.
General:
-Destiny PVP is a mix of Halo and CoD in the sense that we have the float gameplay of Halo, we have the quick game of CoD and the ADS of CoD. Times to kill depends on the weapon.
-Shotguns have the quickest Time to kill if you donāt miss the shot, if you wanna use one a lot my recommendations are: a ranged shotgun (Invective or Universal Remote if you want a primary shotty), or a āreduced spreadā shotgun (tons of legendaries, including āThe Comedianā shotty).
-Fusion Riffles are the āNoob enemyā if you wanna use one, get on PVE learn the timings and then come back to PVP.
-Primary Weapons: Get an Auto Riffle with Stability, those are Death Lasers, or get a Pulse Riffle for Medium to large distances or if you wanna lock down an area, if you wanna get close, get a Hand Cannon, but you should learn of those later since they are high risk.
-LEARN THE MAPS, you always have to learn the best ways to move, or getting into specific flags.
-Donāt Revenge Kill, please donāt, just keep playing your game unless heās easy to kill.
-Donāt get too much into the open unless your teams has you covered.
-If youāre noob, just panic button (L1+R1) when you have super, but do it when you think itās worth it, examples, deny a flag, deny a way, you got into a 2v1 or 3v1.
CONTROL:
-Get the flags, try to make only C-B or A-B and then keep position, itās easier if you have a full fireteam because 3 can keep one flag and the others the B flag and just keep the enemies away.
-If youāre about to lose any flag that would give them advantages, get to the easiest flag and take it, save a super in case of or save heavy ammo, if you donāt have any go with caution.
-Kills count, if you have flags captured, this is a Team Death Match and Domination aborted son.
-Thereās always a guy who gets tons of kills, heās the slayer of the group and once they get a flag he will kill non-stop, if heās on your team make sure to get those flags, if you donāt have him, kill him quick before he takes more deaths.
TDM:
-Kills count, move with caution, move in group but not as a full blob of 4-5 people wanting to get killed by a super, get some spread.
-Just Kill and donāt die a lot, itās easy.
RUMBLE:
-Free For All.
-Same rules as TDM but now youāre alone.
LAST MODE I DONāT REMEMBER THE NAME:
-TDM with revivals and some objectives.
-Get kills, get objectives, looks like LoL in that sense, not complicated.
I was so bored during that bounty, I started reading shit on the internet. I tried to invite Jano like 7 times for the Raid and he never joined, we finished the raid on normal and hard. I have now finished the Raid 4 times, not one piece of armor or Vexmythocast.
You up for raids tonight? it would be my first attempt. Just shout orders if need be iām still waiting for that adapter so i can use my 360 headset. Need to get as many coins before xur show up.
I just soloād the Thorn Strike. That was not fun. I tried doing it at lvl26 and failed. I went back at lvl 28 and brought fire and arc weapons, which made it far more bearable. I can see why people donāt like the Thorn. Going through all that, youād think the weapon would bring more to the table. I wonder what buffs itās going to get.
yeah I dropped that bounty cause a little bit after that I got the pocket infinity bounty I have a higher affinity for other weapons other then handguns and I heard that it wasnt that good.
went on raid and got some raid gloves annoying though cause i have to discard some maxed out gear. gonna go again tonight possibly twice⦠I got one group with all 28s and 29s but in the other group its me as the only lvl 29
2 27s
1 26
and 2 lvl 25s
to even get to atheon was a trip a a half
idk its gonna be rough the 25s gotta level up cause of damage issues⦠their weapons need to be upgraded more
I just got Shards and Energy from the Raid. Didnāt make it Atheon though. I hope Xur is selling something good this Weekend that isnāt Sunbreakers.
