Eh, as I’ve been getting onto higher level strikes, Queen’s Wrath and weekly strikes there have become less and less times when the bladedancer super can do anything but clear a few unsheilded trash mobs, otherwise you can unload an entire super slashing at something and still have it come back and murk you, not exactly alright anymore but luckily the other perks with the speed and teleporting are good enough to keep running hunter.
PVP I reckon the arc blade super is worse than warlock bomb, yes situationally if your opponent’s whole team is really close together (but not close enough to just eat a warlock bomb and die), has no idea that you’re coming, nobody manages to run away when they see you and nobody is sitting on their own super to counter on reaction and you’ve commited to it before they’ve seen you you can wipe a team where a Warlock bomb wouldn’t.
Meanwhile the warlock bomb can wipe a group that isn’t that much closer together, can be used as a panic super, doesn’t need you to get close or worry about people being on to you, can turn an area into a no go zone for a few seconds with the right perks and isn’t really countered on reaction by any super other than perhaps the titan shield (need to test the shield on this), you also can’t evade it on reaction as far as I can tell.
Blade dancer will only get worse as people learn to counter it, warlock bomb will keep murking people regardless.
Nah not even close. Sunsinger is crazy good for PvE, just the ability to self revive saves so much on a team especially for Raids and Nightfalls. Voidwalker is stupid good because of the room clearing supers and AOE grenades. For Raids Voidwalker is better for normal Grinding Defender Titan is better. I can see switching Defender and Voidwalker in the PvE list because normal grinding Defender is better to have. We ran a 3 man Raid for our inside ground on the last boss that consisted of Me being a Voidwalker, one Sunsinger and one Melee Titan who carried the shield and we merced everything. Titans become less useful in Raids because bubble is a big whop de fucking do when it comes to Raid bosses.
Essentially what I did in Vault of Glass is run Sunsinger until we went to the final part, I switched to Voidwalker and we would clear the first room we get warped into. After that I would have a super every time we got warped and I would just super the ADDS on the bottom and wipe them out, even the Minotaur, making it super fucking easy.
Ideally for the Raid you want 3 Warlocks, 2 that run Sunsinger and one to run Voidwalker at the end that needs to be in your inside group, 1 Bubble Titan and 1 Striker who needs to run the inside group as well and one Bladedancer Hunter for invisibility oh shit moments.
Uh what? Weapons of light gives you a significant damage buff and if placed right you just step inside, get the buff, back up and shoot over it. Antheon can’t even hit you, he becomes a complete joke.
As far as the inside group goes for the raid it doesn’t really matter, a striker with shockwave or a gunslinger can kill the adds just as easily as a voidwalker.
I used to be on the voidwalker train…that is until I unlocked the mysteries of the sun. Sunsinger in PvP is ridiculous with zone control. You can lockdown rooms with grenade spam, preventing anyone from coming in if you have your super active. Just continuously spam nades at all entrances and mop up who ever decides to wander in.
So I got the Red Death pulse rifle, it’s a great weapon for medium distance, it sucks at close range and if you’re good shooting you can down enemies on PVP with 2 headshot bursts. If bungie were to rebalance the weapon I would give it more rate of fire or fan fire and less damage so it can be spammed and used right.
I really dont think bladedancer is that good pvp when people know how to play. Better players just fan out when a red blip pops the motion tracker. Or theres someone sitting on a super
Bladedancer as a super has lost some effectiveness as the weeks go by. But as a subclass, it has unparalled mobility options. Fastest sprint in the game, longest slide distance, being able to blink in addition to the fastest sprint gives the farthest moving forward blink, shit like that. Bladedancer with a shotgun is dangerous. There have been many times where I ran at someone in an open corridor holding a shotgun, blinked to directly above him from 15 feet away and then shotgunned and cancelled with a blinkstrike for an instant kill.
People forget how much Halo influenced this game. Melee cancelling a shotgun blast is the most ridiculous way to destroy somebody.
Easiest way to find him is by looking for other players in the tower standing in a place where there is no points of interest. Like last week when he was in the empty room by the ship wright
Man I might need some help with that exotic thorn bounty. It made me rage quit. That bit where you have to clear the 3 waves of enemies is kicking my ass.
I get to wave 3 and just before the end 3 wizards come out and bum rush you. Running away doesn’t work either lol… They chase your ass and eat my legendary rocket launcher rounds for breakfast. That’s the only thing stopping me from getting to the phobos section and doing the ledge exploit to kill tyros the wizard.
Here is what you do, you need one guy to stay behind the room that the Seeker spawns in, his entire job is to hide like a bitch and act as an active respawn. That is all he does, he doesn’t fight he just sits there, the other 2 go out to clear the waves of enemies and respawn until the bounty is completed.
I’ll send u an invite either when I get back from work tonight or tomorrow evening. Is anyone else up for the raid? I’ve never done it b4… I need to get my Mike sorted out b4 I try though… Titan lvl 27 on ps4
Why because they couldnt bring themselves to put enough shit in the game? So to get rewarded for something that was a massive pain in the ass I have to do it multiple times? No dude. Fuck this game.
