The Bounty for the Invective is hands down the easiest of Exotic Bounties. It’s the only one I was able to do in one day. It’s the one called “A Dubious Task”.
5 strikes without dying: Easy
25 K/D spread in pvp: Easy
Complete a Weekly Challenge: Easy if you’re lvl 23 or higher
You just need to have 25 more kills than deaths. It’s cumulative, you dont have to do it in one game. I was able to do it in 4 matches. I guess it can be a grind if you struggle in pvp, but this is still the easiest pvp challenge of all the Exotic Bounties. The Thorn bounty requires you to kill with void damage in pvp, so you get 500 “energies”, and dying slows your progress. The Bad Juju asks you to get 10000 points in pvp.
i found that if i played super lame and basically camped by capture points in control i was able to do the invective 25 kills over deaths thing without too much trouble. took me bout 5-6 games i think.
also i think im gonna have to disagree with the easiest bounty thing. i just started the bounty for super good advice (heavy machine gun) about an hour after starting it and ive nearly finished it already.
first you need to find a gun in a chest which only took me about 4 chests, then buy a thing from xur, now all i have to do is kill 500 enemies with a machine gun. i reckon ill have it in another hour.
I got the 25 k/d spread in 2 games, shit was mad easy. Beat the Vault for the first time today as well, no armor just a sniper rifle, camo and a bunch of ascendant energy.
I think bladedancer is way overrated. It used to be a room sweeper, but now that people are getting better, you rarely get more than 1 or 2, and it’s sometimes a liability having to be in close. Defender titan is really good. Much better than I thought.
That one can be done fast if you’re lucky enough to catch Xur on the weekend. I had the bad juju quest sitting in my bounty slot for a week because I had to wait for Xur. The Invective only took a couple of hours.
The Pocket Infinity, imo, is the most luck based of them all though. I had to catch Banshee when he was selling rare fusion rifles. I was lucky the weekly nightfall had the same burn element as my only fusion rifle, otherwise that would have been a horrible grind.
now is that just health regen or is it also shields? times ive used that particular ability i didnt even notice anything happening so im betting its just health which isnt a big deal.
also i am nominating super good advice for the worst exotic bounty in the game. granted i havent gotten all of them yet but im pretty glad i didnt super grind to get it. good luck hitting literally ANYTHING with that thing unless it is right in front of you or you are aiming to shoot the floor.
one of the abilities it has is that every shot that misses has a good chance of going back into the mag, which is just as well since you wont be hitting anything with it anyway. so yay, neverending magazine!
if there is, I don’t know about it either. I just jump on and start killing stuff until others show up.
on the exotic missile launcher end, I finally got the homing missile cluster. Because of that, I’ve renamed it Wolfgang. What? No imagination? I don’t need no steenkin imagination!! I gots the monster kller!!!
PVP Ranks
Bladedancer Hunte3r - No questions asked, easily the best for PVP, can clear an entire team before they can do anything about it. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay OP for PvP.
GoldGun Hunter - 3 guaranteed kills, possibly 4 with right gear.
Voidwalker Warlock - Can clear any entire point, loses quite a bit of usefulness if not playing control.
Defender Titan - Bubble, Bubble, Bubble
The other Titan and Warlock class are interchangable, neither are bad for PVP but not as useful as the others.
Now the flip side
PVE
SunSinger Warlock - Not even fucking close, by far the best damn thing for PVE, instant revive, stat buffs, an ass load of grenade spam. A must for any Raid and makes Nightfall strikes so much easier.
VoidWalker Warlock - Ability to clear rows of enemies, good AOE grenades.
Defender Titan - Bubbles
Hulk Smash Titan - Ground clear
Gold Gun/Blade Dancer - Both are really not all that great for PVE, Invisibility with Blade Dancer can come in handy for revives.
I currently have a 28 Warlock maxed out with Raid completely, 24 Titan and 24 Hunter so I have played all the classes, played a TON of PVP and PVE and seen what all have to offer. This is a pretty general consensus among people that have played the game quite a bit.
So basically, I should jump on my warlock and level her up? Gotcha.
it Blows because my Titan is pretty good, but I always did feel like I was lacking something during PVE, and even more so during PVP. Ironically enough, She’s already got a piece of exotic armor waiting for her 20th birthday. Tomorrow then.
Titan shoulder charge is really good for PvP though.
Useful tips you probably already know.
You can 2 shot Gold Gun any Titan Bubble and pop it
Titans can recharge their shoulder dash constantly but just running a few steps, basically giving you infinite one hit kill melee’s
Voidwalkers can super the starting animation of the blade dancer and gold gun and make the hunter waste their super, timing is strict though.
Titan Smash hits above them, even super jumping does not help. You have to jump up and back and you still might get hit.
Warlocks can blink dash away from Titan Smash.
You can kill a Voidwalker before his super animation comes out, as he has to jump in the air. However unlike the Titan that has to hit the ground before his super comes out, the Voidwalker super comes out as soon as it leaves his hand in air.
Sticky grenades have slight tracking abilities
Hunters slide ducks under headshots, that is why you see so many Hunters slide/shotgun.
Warlocks have the farthest range on their normal melee’s outside Titan shoulder bash. Warlock melee is roughly the same range of the shotguns.
If you are running a Defender Titan/Sunsinger Warlock. The Titan can bubble shield a point and the Warlock can super and spam AOE grenades in the Titan shield, making it impossible for the other team to take the point without a GoldGun Hunter.
Axion grenades for the Voidwalker are good, really really good. You will not get many kills but you will get quite a bit of assist and it will knock down shields quite a bit. Great thing to do is throw an axion grenade into a crowded room then clean up with a High ROF weapon or Pocket Infinity.
I’ve been playing this game quite a bit in my free time, I currently have a 28 Hunter and 25 Warlock and I disagree with the general rankings people have been putting out for classes. Defender titan is much better than Voidwalker in PvE, weapons of light is amazing for raids and nightfall. Sunsinger imo is crazy overhyped in PvE, they don’t bring anything incredible to any of the difficult PvE content, I’d rather have a blade dancer for the invisibility in nightfalls and I’d definitely rather have a defender for the raid if I had to choose.
