yeah i didnt abuse the cave but its so easy because the same public event always happens there. i would do some cave looting in my time there just to past the moments until the public event came through
shit sucks
also i have to wait till next week to get my legendary rifle because they want to limit the marks you can earn in a week
shit is garbage
and of course you dont buff pulse rifles LOL
and how bout having the ability to hold multiple exotic weapons bungie dropped the ball on this one.
Moreover, I think the change to the Cryptarch will be to make all the drops an ambiguous color; black or whatever. Because Bungie does stand by the powerball nature of it, it’s just that the promised color vs the actual reward throws people off. It also doesn’t help that Bungie is frustratingly vague and flowery about the game. Even the dev notes read vague and poetic about technical aspects of the game. You’re no longer in marketing mode, Bungie. Simply say this and that is nerfed or buffed.
Imagine if Capcom was like, “Our proud World Warriors have entered the fray and threw down for many endless night since launch. However we found certain deadly arts were too deadly, and perhaps exceeded our plans. Fear not Warriors, for the time when your precious training will be rewarded with actions befitting your violent projections. It is coming.”
Translation: “MP Shoryuken is kinda stupid, decreasing invincibility and recovery by next update. Thanks for the feedback and playtime data.”
I was just pointing out that more than once did people use the ‘If they don’t want me to do this, they should _________,’ like they have no self control.
Nah I’m gonna have to stand by that. Have you seen the perks on those yellow box weapons? Somebody having a full suite of exotic weapons would be terrifying. That’s not a dropped ball that’s a good design decision. And it keeps them… Exotic.
Last night I learned that the material exchange is the exchange of material for REP and GLIMMER. Why oh why was this not broadcast?!
I just think the rose petals still obscure your eyes. I had a shit ton of fun with this game up until about 3-4 days ago after having gotten it on launch day. I was loving every second of it, and I am still willingly playing it even by myself sometimes. That in itself is an accomplishment to get me to play a MP game with randoms. But everytime I kill Phogoth, Spider Tank, Death Ball, or pub stomp the shit out of a crucible match with my friends the more it sets in how little variety there is of things to do in this game.
I’m having a blast. The grind is real, sure, but I suppose the difference lies in my realistic expectations. I’m gonna do a blog that details what I think of the game so far and have some suggestions for the game going forward. Very little will be dedicated to the loot system really.
I mean, let’s just say for the sake of argument that the game was technically and theoretically flawed in major ways. Who exactly are you to just wave off the tons of people putting in tons of hours into the game as them having a rose peddled viewpoint? Do you think me or Gamerguy would play a game as some kind of buyers confirmation bias? I’m sure there are cases of this (my long held ‘Playstation Effect’ pseudo science belief), but by and large this is a technically sound game that’s being patched and adjusted in rapid succession. We’re not playing an objectively ‘bad’ game, but it’s fine if you don’t like it.
Just don’t dismiss our experiences while treating your own as gospel. It’s… rude.
I havent played it since I put Disney Infinity in my PS4. Not that DI is amazing or anything, but its definitely fun. I get my grinding fix from D3. I’ll probably pop in destiny again someday, I just dont really see any real reason to now. They need to work on their reward system to make you feel like you’re actually getting something done.
Well talk about putting words into peoples mouths right?
Calling me “dismissive” is way off base. I’m not saying he’s not having fun with the game. I’m not saying he never had fun with the game. I’m saying that “new game smell” is still keeping him from giving a fuck about the glaring issues with the game. I had it too. And then I ran out of new strikes, and had to go into maximum overdrive gear grinding mode and the game started to piss me off.
I never even said this was a bad game. Motherfucker did you read like the first 50 posts about this game I made on GD? Are you really trying to pull that shit right now? If anything is rude it’s your grossly incorrect representation of how I treat this game.
Given your response I stand by my post. You’re still making excuses for our continued enjoyment while inputting your experience as the ‘correct’ review of the game.
Many core games demand a lot of time from people for them to pay off. You’re a member of a fighting game community yes? Have you considered how your approach to gaming would sound applied to the inherently demanding nature of fighting games?
Imagine that every possible PvP match or mission gave you something worth while. And we are all still in a post-launch window period of the game. Imagine that everybody ever have top of the line gear right now less than a month after launch. While this may bode well for your limited playtime, I argue that it would render loot pointless. Then the game would *really *have nothing to offer. You’re good with your Legendary or Exotic because you played for a few hours, but I’m gonna want something far beyond those rewards for my hardcore playtime. What you’re asking for is equalized rewards regardless of time invested, but I believe that is contrary to one of the game’s core tenets.
Then there’s the idea of proper reward. I would make certain a simple PvP match or mission would net you no higher than a blue box. I’d save legendaries and exotics for reaching appropriate rep levels (exotics seem to be this already, legendaries are more random). I would remove any random loot during PvP except for completing bounties or passing a rep level during that game - and even then it wouldn’t be purple stuff.
I have almost a full purple set of armor. Mostly blue weapons (I make them work) and two exotics. I feel I’ve been rewarded properly for the most part. The grind for rep I will agree is brutal. And rep money is almost insultingly low pay (with a fucking cap!). Me having a game like this(link), and getting jack all for it, isn’t the end of the world. I’m fine just kicking ass, making rep, and heading closer to my sweet stuff.
I went to check out the items for Queen’s rep in the North Tower and am I looking at this wrong because some of the items are not even good? Why even bother doing them?
