That montage video on the first page make Destiny look like the game Iāve always wanted Halo to be. Please tell me this game is good and that the powers/abilities are useful.

Really disappointed in the beta. No more real content than the Alpha. I played a few hours last night, hit the level cap (8ā¦are you kidding?), messed around with PVP, and now Iām done. I canceled my pre-order because the game isnāt great. I have other, better games in my backlog.

So im done with the beta.
It has a lot of phantasy star online elements. This is both good and bad.
Thr music is subpar, but there are moments where they really nailed it.
A lot of halo elements, including textures, architecture, amd map layouts. But thats ok, I like that art direction. Definetely this is a co op game with voice chat needed. Otherwise id get repetitive.
Overall, not a bad demo, amd with the right folks this game could be an amazing experience.
the multiplayer is halo. I noticed they even use the same sounds.
anyway. yeah. limited, and id wish they introduce melee weapons in 3rd person, definetely make things a bit more intersting.
but ill buy this for pc. my brother is getting it for xbox one, amd the other maybe for ps4

I really hope Destiny ends up being more than just Halo MMO reskinned, with sci fi shit I feel game developers donāt exploit the setting nearly enough and throw out whacky sci fi shit youād never see in any other setting.

one thing is that there was a lot of star wars architecture and feel to the mythos to some parts.
the ātowerā had starwars elements all over the place, and the whole, ancient technology can be OP (story wise the āarrayā firewall)
I want it to be more than ust a shooter, I think having melee combat would do a lot. Doesnāt have to be star wars, but something faster and more flexible than WoW or Phantasy Star online.
Seeing my brother play it, I donāt know why make a ārougeā class. You canāt really stealth it up, and a lot of positions donāt allow for actual sniping support, but I guess there needs to be compromiseā¦
I did multiplayer vs again. and fuck that shit, not ever touching it again.
Itās this casual friendly mindset Bungie clearly has, that I wish they didnāt. I feel Halo could have been much more than an auto aim watered down brain dead āhave a million weapons but get punished for using more than 3 of themā fest.
At least Destiny has random loot and upgrades so there will be a lot of weapon variety.

shit man, played more destiny earlier and reaised the spider boss has certain weak spots 
when I faced it the first time I was trying hard to stay awake and kept drifting off waking up to shoot its head taking single digits when im supposed to hit the legs 
We have to remind ourselves that there is still a lot more game to be played. While most of the guns are pretty standard in shooters screenshots if future guns give me hope. And they have to hold back for the DLC and future games.
I too would love to see actual melee weapons though. Not like Bungie hasnāt done decent melee weapons before. So if not this game then the sequel. Also I agree about the Hunter class. You canāt be all that sneaky. Needs a cloaking device or something.

btw guys if you play just the co op missions it starts to feel very borderlandsy, go do lots of PvP to break the gameplay in
Played that explore mission, that hover bike shit is pretty cool and that fat Ant boss dropping in out of nowhere was cool too. I love the interface, very streamlined and quick to equip stuff. Game just feels like another FPS so far, not impressed. When is Time Splitters 4?
Multiplayer is horrible. Explosions explosions, oh I diedā¦ok. Respawn into more explosions.
