Also, on the Bladedancer special for Hunters; it does seem OP, but a shotgun to the face is a shotgun to the face. I’ve done some wild stuff with the Radiance super, too. But if we’re gonna gauge it by ease of use… Hunters are fucking annoying. That Golden Gun and Bladedancer are super rage inducing.
im gonna be online on xbox for the next while. send me a FR if you wanna do some raids/crucible. im lvl 22.
just been trying to do some skirmishes with randoms and holy fuck is it annoying. everyone runs off in seperate directions trying to gun it solo and they just get mowed down time and time again.
Skirmish is definitely better if you’re playing with friends.
PSA: STOP SCROLLING LIKE A BITCH AND READ THIS POST
Do not wear faction capes. They are worded as though you gain extra rep with them when you earn rep for them. This is not the case. Instead, ALL REP from any faction is instead channeled into that faction. I was wearing a Dead Orbit cape that I thought was cool as fuck. For some reason I wasnt getting any Crucible rep from +100 bounties. It’s because all that rep was going to Dead Orbit.
Secondly, you can’t complain about Hunter when Warlocks have Sunsinger. You can revive yourself from the dead Gill style on top of eating retarded amounts of damage.
Bladedancer is the best thing ever. I won a TDM game by getting all 6 kills in a row with a Super and we were about to lose if I died.
Faction gear indeed replaces Vanguard and Crucible rep into faction rep (to buy faction exclusive gear). I’m rocking Dead Orbit right now.
Sunsinger’s Fireborn is very good but not nearly as promised as Hunter’s stuff.
It’s the same with any class gear you buy from a faction. I said that like last page, lol.
Case in point, I was really tempted to buy a Warlock bond from Future War, but I need ranks in the Crucible before I can even begin to focus on a goddamn FACTION Rank. Fuck that.
I’ve done NOTHING but Crucible for the past 3 days straight and I’m only halfway there to Rank 2. It’s absolutely ridiculous. And that’s including the 5 bounties I turned in.
Also Bladedancer is fairly easy to get around once you know how it works. I went 1v1 with another hunter with his arc blade out and he didnt touch me. All it took was an auto rifle and Blink.
Motherfuckers all having this knee jerk reaction to a 8 second energy sword. It takes forever to charge and doesnt last long when it’s out. It also takes forever to start once you hit the super input, and if you run at somebody from too far away you get your wig split. You’re only seeing the upsides since you arent using it. Golden Gun and Arc Blade have hella downsides.
I’ve been purposefully leveling my shit for the Future War Cult. I want the gear they have to offer, for my Warlock. Can always take it off later, when I wish to gain crucible points or whatever.
Bladedancer and Golden Gun shit all over Warlock skills (shitty grenades, slow ass super) from what I see now. Warlock’s are just good for locking down an area (been leveling up my Sunsinger though, so we shall see how that goes), and for shotgun melee life refill nonsense (I fucking love shotgun + melee while defending, and they come at me one at a time, or better yet, I just jump in the middle of them, and take em all out, refilling my HP with every melee attack).
finally find a legendary item, and it’s boots for a Hunter
Also these god damn engrams are 100% laughs.
Encoded Engram: Common weapon or gear
Encrypted Engram: Uncommon weapons or gear
Decoherent Engram: Uncommon weapons or gear, SOMETIMES a rare
Legendary Engram: Rare weapons or gear, Upgrade materials, or a Legendary for a different class
Like who the fuck programmed these probabilities.
Man I finally got to level 25 after playing crucible most of the day
At the turn of the midnight hour I got some legendary boots that pushed my character up
Now they need to do something with this crucible rep lol I’m only rank 1 1/2 lol it’s gonna be 2 lifetimes before I get to 3
Destiny in-game weapon names =

I want there to be a blade-type weapon named Durendal. For the actual IRL legend, and for, y’know, Marathon’s breakout character.
Shit would be godlike.
More-or-less unrelated aside in this spoiler. [details=Spoiler] more games should have weapons named for the sorts of stuff you see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mythological_objects
So, say in a game like Dark Souls where you have your middle-ages aesthetic, you play a knight/man-at-arms-type character has a one-of-a-kind sword, and a one-of-a-kind lance.
The sword? Excalibur. (You already know.)
The spear? Rhongomiant.
(the spear belonging the King Arthur of old myth, I need to see that name in a game someday, that just SOUNDS cool.)[/details]
I didn’t know what was going on for the first half of the match lol. After I realized what I was supposed to do, it got really interesting. That was my first time playing it, but I can’t imagine winning with randoms… You have to rely on your teammates too much for that.
Also… NO ONE on PSN uses a mic. There’s zero communication on there :shake:.
Just did the Weekly Strike by myself. Must have took 2 hours. I died a lot during Darkness Zones.
Finishing that also cleared my special bounty from the Warlock lady for an exotic Shotgun. It was the third in a trilogy of bounties she wanted me to finish. I also had a normal bounty on that particular Strike. Got a lot done.

Its signature ability is regenerating ammo over time.
NOTE: Before I got to own this I had to buy 50 special ammo boxes from the weapon shop. I was fortunate to have a ton of money saved up but keep that in mind. I think exotic weapons will have similar high prices even after you worked for them.
Yea I noticed that psn shit too. The ps4 comes with a mic idk why people don’t use it
Been reading some interesting reviews that are kinda echoing my own sentiments.
This game, while still enjoyable, seems to have attempted to be a little bit of everything, without going all the way.
Sadly, the loot isn’t all that amazing so far; the weapons, even high level ones, are far too similar to each other; the story is dismal (I seriously have no idea wtf is going on in the story, STILL)…
After level 20, aside from getting bounties, and cashing in engrams, I can’t really see a reason to go back to Tower (except maybe when I get enough future war cult points or crucible marks or whatever, to buy a piece of gear).
They have some amazing ideas in the game, and if they nuture the game and add to it, that will be great. But as it stands now, it just seems little bland, right now.
Im convinced vanguards are for sure the best class. The groundslam is so busted. Normally when playing pvp you think to your self, i want that area but there are too manu badguys and my team refuses to help me take it. As a vanguard you just go in geoundslam and kill everything in the room. Theres no counter no way to dodge it, unless hes too far your gonna die. Then theres the golden gun you can get max 3 kills with it and you have to aim. If you miss tough luck. Honestly the uber abilities need to be reworked a bit. I doubt its gonna happen. Other than that im loving mp, sometimes its a little inconsistent the shotgun killing in one shot at wierd ranges, and then not killing at pointblank after 3 shots is infuriating. Marksman rifles are king of inconsistency sometimes it takes 15 shots to kill some times it takes 5… I think my fav are the burst rifles they are the most consistent the auto rifles can he good but you need to find one that has low recoil. Overall im actually impressed by the mp buy it has its issues, now i just need to get to 20 and start doing these hard strikes that everyone is talking about.
Anybody got any tips on using Blink? I like it, even though you lose jump distance, but good god that has saved my ass so many times. People seriously have no fucking clue what to do when you can teleport circles around them. I’m just having issues getting used to it. The range feels wacky sometimes.
I’m still getting used to it too. I played a lot of Shadowrun on the 360 though, so I’m sorta used to the teleporting abilities.
It teleports you roughly the same distance as you would be able to glide, so as long as you know how to glide to land on shit, you can just do the same style of jumps and just blink there.
I finally tried the first Crucible yesterday and man, I fucking SUCK!
I managed to kill one dude with my super Fist of Havoc but got completely annihilated the rest of the time. I’m afraid I made my team lose. Granted I was only at Level 11 and a lot of those fuckers were way higher.
Not sure what I’m doing wrong. This is my first FPS game since, shit, I guess Metroid Prime (if that counts), or maybe Perfect Dark for the 64 before that. I never really got into them, but I love Destiny. I just wish I was better at it.
