I’ll add you now chadouken
Nice, thanks. I thought The Furious One started the thread, my bad.
What? No, I I’m saying I’m adding you to my friends list lol.
Oh shit, right on. Yeah.
I had to check out Martian. I think I need to level up a bit before I can hang with you. Holy shit, this game is rad.
It doesnt say unfortunately. I’m up to 22 now though so Im at the adequate level for it.
I haven’t been on for this because I haven’t actually bought the game yet, I only had the beta.
Gotta get that
first, I’ll be right beside you guys in the lines of fire soon enough!
So are class items strictly cosmetic, or can they benefit your character in some way?
I’d unlocked a cape forever ago, but they look sort of tacky and the scarf is cute, at least before shaders come into play. Now that I can make everything match (in sickeningly sweet pink and powder blue naturally) I finally broke down and put a cape on my character.
I think they only real affect they can have is towards your clan rank. You buy a class item from a Clan Headmaster, and wearing it ranks you up in that clan.
Ok… Time for my Lv.2 ass to start playing this game… :nunchuck:
Is there any more info that needs to be up on the front page?
I don’t think so. Probably just have to update it every now and then when some more active players decide to join in.
Sent a request for SRKGD Clan membership on Bungie’s website.
made it to level 15, and got my first non white/green item. Blue gloves, that make me beast.
Hoping to hit 20 this weekend, still. Dunno how you guys are getting to 20 so fast, unless you’re in parties (been mostly doing solo, myself)

Motherfucker it took you til 15 to get uncommon drops? What were you just doing patrols this whole time?
Also you guys further than Level 20, time to post your gear. Comparisons and all that good shit. Also gameplay tips including crucible stuff.
My personal recommendation, before you go into a crucible match, equip a heavy machine gun with a maximum rate of fire and decent stability. You’re pretty much guaranteed at least one kill if you nab some heavy ammo. The Hunter’s Bladedance subclass rapes in that mode as well. You pretty much get an on demand Energy Sword. I cut down a hallway of 4 guys with 4 button presses. Crucible is also a great way to boost your second subclass. I was getting an upgrade every game.

I only played a little bit when it first came out, and got to 10, then I worked. Then after work-a-thon, I got my ass to 15. Got my blue at 14, but couldn’t use it till 15. And yeah, I haven’t done any patrols or multiplayer until now, actually.
I been spamming crucible matches finally at level 22
The stirike playlist is a bitch though gotta find some people to do it with
Would this link work for you guys? My lvl24 Warlock.
- I use Sunsinger for Crucible. I set it up for speedy aggressive play. Voidwalker for PvE modes.
- My main gun is an Auto Rifle with the curious ability of trading rate of fire for extra power when aimed. I love it.
- My shotgun reduces it’s spread when aimed.
- Heavy machine gun as special weapon because it’s very, very good.
Crucible Tips:
Context; I’m an objective mode player of FPS games. I usually don’t care for K/D. However in this game I maintained a decent K/D and I often top the scoreboard whether my team wins or loses. I think I have a decent grasp of PvP is all I’m saying. Not only in FPS terms, because your inherent FPS skill does transfers over, but also in how Destiny works. I’m just gonna jot down some things you should consider.
- Let’s get this out of the way; your weapon ATK stats are NOT applicable in most Crucible modes (Iron Banner, coming in Oct., will allow it). Every other stat, and the various perks you unlocked, do indeed apply to Crucible. Enemies being a higher level mean nothing; outside of them having more abilities than you. However, everybody should have similar abilities by 20 anyway.
- Still not sure about your Guardian’s Defense, but all armor perks do apply as well.
- The radar is totally ass, but just remember that the progression is Red Outline > Red Transparent > Thick Red (Near) > Red Circle (personal space). For whatever reason Bungie didn’t want enemies represented as dots like your teammates. Overtime, you learn to RESPECT THE RED. Like Halo, crouching removes you from putting red in their radar.
- On crouching; melee while crouch leaves you in stand. If you wanna remain stealthy crouch again after melee.
- Sliding is crouching during a sprint. I had a shotgun that allowed me to slide further, so Destiny considers this an ability rather than a cute thing. Sliding most importantly dips your head from headshots and makes your hard to hit. You can turn damn there 90% while sliding in the initial direction. Do with that what you will. I’ll tell you one thing: Sliding to a melee is very good, considering melee attacks’ extremely generous tracking.
- The bullet magnetism is very generous, go for head shots. I rarely seen it this severe, but it makes for a kind of level playing field really.
- The Fusion Rifle weapons are very strong. I played a Skirmish against a team of Fusion Rifle users and it was debilitating. Not even giving you a tip, just fair warning.
Your Subclasses:
- The unlock progression, as you probably know by now, goes left to right like reading a book. After clearing the first row you’re essentially opening a pool of switchable abilities and perks. They all apply to Crucible.
- Warlock special melee attack has considerable range. The Hunter tosses a knife obviously, but the Warlock’s melee has a shotgun’s range. Most Warlock special melee perks do something on hit or kill. Just to be sure, land a few shots before hitting them to increase chance of using these perks.
- The ‘Training’ slots determine your overall attributes. Toughness dictates the damage received (NOT armor DEF ratings), Recovery is how fast your life returns, and Agility is your walk and sprint speed. Before you decide which two to choose, consider your playstyle up until that point, as well as the perks that lend themselves to each attribute. I’m on Recovery/Speed and Raw Speed. I have an Auto Rifle. Yeah.
I use auto rifle too ( love it )
Trying to like the pulse rifle in crucible but damn I have so much more success with the scout or the auto
Anyone using the pulse for success
i used the Pulse rifle (that’s the burst rifle, right?) in the beta. I dunno if it got nerfed but most players I played with that were good agreed it was pretty strong. If you can get headshots IIRC it was pretty good, if you don’t get them that often the auto rifle is probably better
I remember my PvP class being Pulse rifle, Shotgun (sometimes sniper, depends on the map) and the Heavy Machine Gun (never use rockets really in PvP)
