I am doing the IB just to finish the last Crucible quest, i am away by 3 loses or 1 win, whatever happens first
BTW, i am noticing that now IB is giving stuff between 334 and 335 even if you are rank 0.
I guess that since is the last IB before RoI they are giving some insentive to the people that never got to max light level.

How is the loot system not rewarding when all you have to do is use a 3oC in order to obtain an exotic? People complain there’s nothing to do in the game and it’s due to how easy it is to obtain high level gear. At least in year 1 you had something to chase, look at how many people reached max level in less than a week after the April update. This eliminates the reason for level enabled play lists. What’s the point when everyone is the same exact level? I know it’s the Internet and it’s difficult for people to have a discussion where they admit the other person is right but before responding, do a little critical thinking about what I said in my post.

Ive started preparing for this new dlc… collecting materials, armor and storing quest rewards for the exp.

Expansion only adds light level and not player levels, so the bonus exp won’t help too much.

This was an April Update change along with generally faster IB leveling overall. Since the April Update, you can hit Rank 5 with just a few hours’ worth of play, typically maxing out at or before Friday. Makes getting maximum loot even easier.

With 3oc you can get a maximum of 2 exotic engrams within a 24 hour period, at least that’s the most I ever got when I played. Sometimes you still won’t get any at all.

People that liked the old loot system only liked the special snowflake aspect of it. Having something in your inventory and knowing not too many people have it.

Also if grinding to maybe get something that will be obsolete or nerfed to oblivion is your idea of fun, go play an actually MMO instead.

Ranking up factions will definitely help get access to the new gear sooner. I think I might try to get Vanguard, Crucible, New Monarchy, and Craptarch all about to rank up so I can get some good rewards on day one.

It’s not even about the grind, it’s about having a reason to play PvE. I can say that I definitely played more PvE in yr one becuase I was chasing the few weapons I wanted.

And you’re definitely wrong about 3oC. I’ve gotten multiple within a 24 hr period. The longer you go without receiving an exotic while using 3oC, the higher your chances are of having one eventually drop. Someone did some research and found that once you get to about 10 3oC without a drop, your chance of an exotic goes up to 95% iirc.

I think the best drop rates happened during HoW, where legendary drops were increased. Getting rid of 3oC with RoI or destiny 2 is the way to go.

If 3oc were to go, other than xur raids/coe/exotic story missions would be the best way to get exotics imho, as nightfall strikes are still godawful… all everyone seems to get is are 330 ghosts.

I like the 3oC system. It keeps Xur relevant. It’d be cool if they had a chance to proc double or triple legendary engrams sometimes instead of exotic, and when that happens it resets your chances again.

Also, the strike-specific gear gives me plenty of reason to play PVE. That and the faction rewards. One of my favorite things to do in Y2 was to pop a Vanguard rep booster and go into the Heroic strike playlist. You get a chance at specific strike gear and hope for good rolls, plus you’ll get a reward package for Vanguard and whatever faction you’re with. On top of all of that, the modifiers for Heroic strikes always have at least two in your favor, which made running them extremely fun.

CoE got to be a really fun thing to do every week as well, with more opportunities to get more high-level gear.

Then you have the raid challenges, which provide one of the only opportunities for 335 artifact and ghost drops.

And I always love to go into a Nightfall solo and see how far I can make it.

Plenty of reason to play PVE. In fact, I like to play just for the sake of playing. Hell, last weekend my friends and I ran through VoG and CE just to do them again and to gear up with the likes of Fatebringer and Ghorn.

I did the Flares a few weeks ago when it was Void burn. Ran in with my Defender and Telesto. For the Flares I would pop a blinding bubble on top of one, kill it, then retreat and build meter for the next one.

2. i been outta touch for a while

though i think soloing with titans always made more sense you could always avoid the situations resurrect would give you a second chance at.
i never ran one though
only had a warlock

right before i took my leave from this game there was a 3 week stretch where the nightfall setups/triggers were stupid broken
