suh-weet. I didn’t know if it was like considering the new re-release as a separate game or something, like in the way a special edition re-release might be
Congrats sir, I may as well go and upgrade to the xbone as well…was holding out for Forza 6 but fuuuug it, Ill get it next check on the 1st (worse case 15th…oooOOO thats TTK day )
Also, it seems like everything they spoke about in the stream and the weekly update is for all players, not just those that purchase TTK.
this got me thinking, is the price for the TTK specifically for…
-new raid
-new pvp maps/modes
-deadnaugt Patrols/events
-3rd subclass
Maybe the materials like legendary marks wont be collectible unless you get TTK but the vault space/bounty changes have to be implemented universally…
I know its way too early to judge and ill still probably get TTK day 1, but $40 to me seems steep when you compare with the previous expansions.
I’ve been thinking about getting back into Destiny with TTK, but I’m really concerned with how much content there will actually be, especially since a lot of year 1 gear is being left behind. It seems to me that a lot of the old content will become irrelevant and we will just be stuck with one patrol and one raid that is worth doing. I know Bungie has stated they are “questifying” a lot of the old content and hopefully that will be enough to keep it all relevant.
I said the same thing about HoW. I did not see the endgame. I did not understand what the appeal of PoE would be without etheric light and Elder Cypers. I was getting tons etheric light from Trials. Weapon ascension made all PoE, and most HoW loot useless. There was nothing to hunt. Trials saved that DLC imo.
I don’t have the same problem with TTK. I can see the endgame. I have to replace my entire arsenal this time.
TTK has 8 story missions, 1 new patrol, 3 sub classes to level, 3 strikes(4 on PS), 8 pvp maps and 1 raid.
I just found out that my job has a mandatory holiday for inventory recording on the exact day that Taken King drops. I might go to a midnight release for it just because if Gamestop is doing one lol
I just bought this game after trading in Advance Warfare, I was checking out youtube videos are some weapons that were good at the beginning, got nerfed. So with out going through 74 pages of this thread, what are some tips you guys can give me off the bat? Also my psn is Raoh-no, I’ll be on tonight for a couple hours at around 8 central.
If you like PVP, I would use it as a crutch early on to level up (you get very easy experience from Crucible), to aid you in finishing the non existent story. You can, for the more part, skip the story all together by using the crucible enough (1 to 20, I mean)
You can also get someone to help power level you through the story missions by doing them all on Heroic for extra XP. As soon as bounties are available to you, get them and do them. They offer high XP rewards. As soon as you are able to, get some friends to help get you through the nightfall as well, because it gives a weekly boost to all XP gains. You’ll probably have to get to level 20 and then higher with armor first though. Not sure what the minimum level for entry into nightfall is.
So I did the Nightfall tonight, and ended up getting a pair of exotic gauntlets. Which would’ve been dope had I not already had and was WEARING the same exact, fully upgraded gauntlets.
Not only that, but after completing it I come to find out that it didn’t even count it as a completion towards the Eris quest that asks you to kill Omnigul. So I had to kill her a second time.
