shotgun is my favorite weapon type in this game, its the most fun to use. i like to play this game to…have fun…lol…

The best pve shotguns are already stuff like found verdict or a felwinter-tier impact shotgun with full auto, I doubt the nerf will effect things much. Maybe take one extra shell to kill a captain in a nightfall without burn, if that.
No one is going to be happy initially about their favorite toys getting nerfed, including me, but a sweeping update of this magnitude really is needed for the continued health of the game, whether we agree with every individual change or not. It’s pretty much impossible to present new challenging content when you have to tune it for both players who have overly strong weapons like gjallarhorn and black hammer and those who don’t, not to mention the challenge of introducing new weapons that are worth getting when the older weapons are so good already (this was a big deal in house of wolves already).
If they do it right, we will have a more balanced game that actually takes some thought even after you get all the “best” gear, with potentially better pvp balance as well. We’ll just have to wait and see if they can actually deliver.

And they nerfed fusion rifles even more…I think they should’ve left the high impact fusions alone, It was a fair trade off imo. High impact/slow charge/tight beam grouping vs lower impact/fast charge/wider beam grouping.

Lol, there’s a conspiracy going around that Xur rolled a Ghorn this week, and since Bungie took it off the loot table it screwed up his inventory or something.
Here’s an image from a German player who supposedly tried to buy the Ghorn from him within the first minute, but got booted with an error code. It might be shopped, though.
Things like that are way too easy to photoshop. I remember before the Hard Mode Crota Raid was released, a streamer took the Necrochasm’s icon and just layered it over other gun icons. He copy pasted over and over to make it look like his vault was full of Necrochasms and he also made it look like the Gunsmith was selling it. He was obviously joking, but a lot of people got fooled.
I don’t buy into the gally conspiracies. I don’t see why Bungie would want to keep the gally from people. Xur sold the Suros a lot during its reign. The Thunderlord has only been sold once too, but you don’t hear anyone talk about that, and the Thunderlord is a good weapon. This mentality of “gally or GTFO” is a big reason why it’s getting nerfed.

That weapon rebalance article was just what the doctor ordered. Shame it won’t hit for a while, but at least people are readying themselves for the new changes in the Crucible already.
Only change that made me a little cautious was the hit to hand cannons. I’ll have to play them to make a concrete conclusion, obviously, but that seemed a little harsh. Everything else is money, though.
