Beat Crota hard mode this weekend, got the hand cannon, auto rifle, and shader.
To be honest, I really, REALLY don’t like hard mode Crota. After my team beat it, it was like …“Finally, fuck…that sucked”
too many bullet sponges and everything has to go your way…
if Crota decides to just run to the right or left side before downing him…WIPE.
If sword barer decides to stay in his hole or run and hide under boomer spawn… WIPE
You thought the 2nd ogre was dead only for someone to get hit with eye beam… WIPE
You kill sword barer but guess what, sword just disappears! WIPE
I’m not sure if i want to do crota hard mode again maybe when HoW comes out and raises the lvl cap.
Okay, so hard mode crota is actually not that hard if you have 3+ titans.
bubble at the beginning, bubble up by the boomers to keep them from shooting the sword bearer, bubble by doors to keep the boomers from shooting you while moving in and out of the safe room, bubble under the right boomer tower to deal with ogres. Weaken the knights at the start and have your non-titans super them to generate orbs for later use and to make sure you always have enough bubbles. Also make sure the bubbles are set to blessing of light, it is far superior to weapons of light for this encounter.
-Lower drop rates of Raid Gear you already have
-Allow upgrades of old Raid Weapons (VoG, EoC) by combining with multiple copies of the same item
-Upgrading a weapon/armor doesn’t fully reset its exp (half or even a quarter)
-Allow changing the aesthetics of armor (ie, I want to change my current Raid Gear to look like VoG raid gear, let me combine them in some way)
-Convert Asc. Shards/Energy like you can with Radiant
-MATCHMAKING in game
-Grimoire viewable in game
-Trading for players if they were in-game with you (and post-game)
also why not make everyone happy and make it so deleting raid gear gives you some kind of item, I’ll just call it an “upgrade orb” for now. Using an upgrade orb allows you to upgrade any armor piece to the defense and light level of the raid gear you deleted (and probably require the same materials to upgrade). Armor abilities and stat bonuses could reroll if you want more RNG involved, or it just raises the light level. Probably makes you relevel the armor, but that’s up to the developer and not relevant to my point. They could also limit it to gear from previous raids if they want to limit your cosmetic options or whatever but I would rather they didn’t. If you can use it on blue armor there are a LOT of cosmetic options that basically exist only for the first tiny bit of the game and then are not available as legendary gear. Using an upgrade orb on them could reroll their armor perks from the generic legendary armor pool.
Raid armor would still have a purpose with the raid-specific bonuses they grant, but players would have a wider variety of cosmetic and endgame build options besides “wear the same raid gear as everyone else” with maybe a couple iron banner armor pieces mixed in. And you would still have to earn/upgrade it like any other raid gear. They could even limit it by class so you couldn’t just get one class (i.e. “titan upgrade orb”) to max level and then delete extra raid pieces to hand over to side characters and get them to max level without ever running the raid. Although considering how much the game already favors people who run three of the same class, i don’t really see that as being an issue.
Am I the only one keeping “The Stranger’s Rifle”? And is “The Fate of All Fools” bounty actually in the game? The only person that I’m aware who has it is the guy who had brain surgery.
Anyway, I think I got the best legendary Scout in the game from Nightfall. Another NITC with Luck in the Chamber, Firefly and Explosive Rounds.
I just need as many Radiant Shards as possible. I have Eris at lvl3 right now, hopefully have her to lvl4 by the end of the week to try CE hard mode.
I ran that with my Hunter this morning, it’s actually more fun that you’d think. You only need solar to take care of the Shanks and the other Wizards that Omigul spawns. Other than that, it’s no different than an Arc burn Nightfall.
Used Vex Mythoclast, Light of the Abyss and The Cure. I personally don’t like snipers for this particular strike, so I didn’t use Icebreaker or Black Hammer.

I don’t like any low impact AR. Atheon’s Epilogue has it’s uses, but overall I don’t mess with them - which is why I’m in no hurry to upgrade Husk of the Pit.
The Crux seems to be dropping now. One of the destiny streamers got it, streamerhouse is the name.
I still have my strangers rifle on my Titan, but im running out of space so it might get sharded soon. The Fate of all fools bounty is tied to the Trials of Osiris. We only know about it because the game was data mined.
Yup. I think that’s to give folks who got any of the raid primaries an opportunity to use them in a meaningful setting.
So after a few attempts at Crota, I still couldn’t get him beat before the reset. None of the guys I usually raid with were ever on at the same time so I kept going in with randoms and we never had a competent sword bearer. Hopefully I’ll get it this week.
I did manage to get the raid pulse and auto rifles, so that’s cool. But I want that hand cannon!
anybody leveled up husk all the way to exotic yet? I know you need the crux of Crota (…damn. That just SOUNDS nasty.) but it just don’t feel worth the work right now. Some hope for a possible future badass firearm might make me stay in it. Also, is there anything beyond rank 4 with eris morn bounties? I’ll keep doing them unless I learn that it’s a waste.
Oh yeah. This week, Omnigul gets rekt. Three flavors of enhanced pain this week. Almost makes the Thorn not worth using.
So after thinking about the House of Wolves leaks… anyone think the raid will be some type of Horde Mode? I mean, it’s called “Arena”. On top of that, all the leaks w/ a ton of different named bosses has me thinking (or at least hoping) it’ll play out like a survival/horde mode. X amount of increasing difficulty waves, followed by a wave including a named boss, etc.
I personally don’t feel Necrochasm is worth the trouble right now. I’ve yet to use a low-impact Auto Rifle that was a better option than other primaries. Only Atheon’s Epilogue is useful in some spots.
As for Eris, I know of no reason to level her past 4 except that most of her bounties can be done in the Fist of Crota mission for easy XP.
For Nightfall, just bring solar and arc - nothing uses a void shield so it’s just going to cause trouble swapping out. Only two mobs even use solar attacks (Fallen Dregs and Captains with the shotguns), the rest all use arc.
I wouldnt be at all surprised if the new raid is just one room. Bungie seems to be getting lazier and lazier witg this game, VoG was a fairly large raid with a bunch of areas. CE is 3 rooms. And the following being one room sounds about right. Also tgey will add a new vendor with rep where thebounties will be stuff like. Kill x enemy while wearing this blindfold 10 times… Btw this enemy only spanws in one place and spawns every 25 mins… No participation ribbons who ever gets the killing blow gets cred… And everyone will be all excited by some bullshit tedious rewardless quest that takes 10x longer than it should because bungie has no fucking clue what they are doing with this game. When a very similar game called borderlands already exsists with a great foundation how do you make such a bland game. The fact that you guys are still enjoying this rewardless grindfest is truly amazing im really impressed. Because i did enjoy the game but i cant even log on anymore with the thought of havibg to do an other bounty or roc strike or weekly to get coins to buy nothing since xur never sells any good guns and when he does i get the gun literally days before from a boring ass raid. Literally the only exotics i have gotten have been from the raids. I think ive found maybe 2-3 purples in the 3 months ive played and i just cant do it anymore. Its not even a time sink this game is a soul sink out to steal your soul. Pvp is the only fun thing left and everyone i know wants to “gear” up before they pvp even tho tgey all have surros, vex, lastword, and pretty much all the other god tier pvp guns… And pvp alone is the worst experiance of all just losing left and right because some thumbless tard that goes 1-25 each game always gets put ln your team.
well, 4 is max, you cant level her past 4 anyways lol. but yea the extra xp from doing her bounties is always good especially with everyone picking up their new primaries.
