is it normal that at the beginning with stcik, im playing like a braindead because i need too mucch focus for the stick? i have it for two weeks now and I have not nearly the level I had with pad. Execution is not that bad actually, but im playing like a noob :S
I Just started playing with a stick for two days and it’s harder than I thought it would be.
I’ve been using a stick since around last March. It’s been a bit of a struggle, but I’ve noticed a great deal of improvement, even though I’m currently a sub-mediocre player. I just need to develop a solid technique for using it and not tense up so much while trying something hard. I get this weird, weakening tingle in my forearms and hands that makes certain executions prohibitively difficult. Got to work on that.
I managed to pull of Ryu’s SRK-FADC-Ultra several times in training mode, never consecutively and mostly from the right side, and sometimes I throw the Ultra too early or too late, but at least I’ve freaking done it before. Yet at the same time I don’t think I can see myself even at that level of proficiency with a pad. I’m glad I made the switch to a stick, and I’m never going back.
Thank you dude for the pep talk.
It’s now the 5th day with a stick and i’ve problems with the crossup timing.
The special moves are no problem but learning the basics seems much harder.
Correct zoning is also a big problem for me.
But i dont give up and must train harder
