As much as I don’t want to be some kind of dick… skye had seriously played the game for the first time two days before TS6. And he picked up Basara the night before TS6. I know JW’s losses were to me and Tony, which is totally gay, but what can you do when we’re all in Top 8? Of a 20 person tournament? But, these days, I think me and JW are probably the top two players in town. And, while Tony is a stand up gentleman, his Mina mostly consists of getting super and spamming low B. And, sorry, Mvo, but SST is much more about wake-up games than it is about zoning with pokes. Wake-up games and jumping. Oh… jumping.
So is this actually going to happen? What games are we playing? I imagine ya’ll want to play NGBC (hooooo boy, I’ll just teach JW how to play Kaede/Hotaru in 5 minutes), this whole crap started because of SST ($3 is a total lock, call vegas!), we want 3S and CvS2. And, if you’re going to pick an SNK game… please don’t pick Neowave. As much fun as Neowave isn’t (I like to call it, “HURRR GUARD BREAK GOOD IDEAS”), it wouldn’t take much for me and JW to learn Saisyu/Choi/Another. And if you’re planning on just picking some random SNK game… I would be very very careful about that. And, honestly, I’m having trouble thinking of any that wouldn’t make for an exemplary show of why SNK games that aren’t SST are just soooooo bad. Especially if you’re thinking Last Blade 2, Breakers Revenge or Fighter’s History Dynamite.
It would be catastrophic.

- No EX Grooves.
- No Evil Ryu/Riot of Blood Iori/God Rugal/Shin Akuma

- No Gill
- No System Direction options at all; clean memory card state
- Guard Judgement is Off? Whatever the one that’s not Dreamcast is.
Samurai Shodown Tenkaichi Kenkakuden
- Arcade Mode, Original Mode is for steers and queers.
- No Secret Characters that aren’t purple Nakoruru. No SS5 Yoshitora/Yunfei. No Poppy/Chanpuru/Mamahaha. No EX Galford or Gaira with Hair. None of them. This is about playing the game; not playing some random non-beta-tested retardo animal.
- Same thing, no PS2-specific spirits. No Matsuri, Animal or Demon spirits.
- No items.
- No pounce after a command throw. This rule eliminates Mizuki & Gaira’s infinites, while letting Iroha have something threatening outside of an obnoxious low D. You can’t pounce after a command grab, but if Mizuki hits a pounce outside of one, ANYTHING GOES! But if you pounce after that your team loses and you forfeit your soul. $3 is serious business.
NGBC
- No secret characters. I’m going by SBO rules. Isn’t Goenitz secret? If he isn’t, isn’t Orochi secret? I don’t believe they’re allowed in SBO; they shouldn’t be allowed in this crap either. There are so many characters in that game that no one has ever bothered playing that you’ve got carte blanche on whatever SNK dudez you want. No Mizuchi, Freeman, King Lion, Neo Dio, Athena, Mars People. I don’t care if aside from Mizuchi that they’re all B-Class or lower; you’re picking them because they’re weird and no one knows how to play against them. And also I’d just show everyone how to be retarded with Mizuchi.
KoF: Neowave
- I’m down with secret characters in this game. As long as they’re Kim, Vanessa, Ramon, Geese and Orochi Yashiro, Chris and Shermie. Angel and May Lee? If they aren’t in the arcade game, than no sale. If you want to think that picking characters that you didn’t even know existed!!! is like being good, then, great. Let’s not even bother and just give us the win. Otherwise, they’re largely untested super-imposed nobodies and they should be treated as such. The NeoWave hidden characters are fine, Geese is super good. Angel isn’t and if you want to play Angel so bad then just play 2K2 or 2K1 and be done with it.
SvC Chaos
- Please don’t play this game. It really doesn’t matter who’s better. There’s no point. Someone picks Chun, and then someone picks Goenitz, then someone picks Zero, and someone picks Geese and man damn the skillz are effervescent. This game is so god damn bad.
Power Stone 2
These game rules should totally be followed. Otherwise this is retarded. I don’t care if you have mad Poppy strats. Keep that shit to yourself and don’t waste my time with ridiculous mugen characters. And if you actually wanted to play NGBC, then probably don’t want secret characters anyway because if you picked them you would lose and if someone picked Mizuchi you’d blame Crapcom players or something. Fuck those guys.
Aside from this, are there any actual, like, plans or rules? Like, team members? Can we switch them inbetween games? Can we have a team of 18 people if we want? Does everyone play each game round robin? Elimination?
And why are we “team dallas.” Because, seriously, we should clearly be the $3 Southlake/Arlington dream team. The ultimate dream team.
