So there definitely needs to be some sort of standardization going on as far as which emulator to use and ROM. For the emulator, everyone should be using Demul 5.6. It has the most compatibility with video cards when compared to the newer versions of the emulator and is able to run the games at a higher frame rate. As far as the rom goes, the majority of people i’ve played against have the “cvs2gd.zip” rom rather than the “gdl-0007a.chd”, but i think everyone should have both just in case.
I realize this is probably asked a lot but I was unsure if earlier answers were still relevant. How playable are these games online?
Depends on what you mean by playable. If you mean what the delay is like, then for same coast matches you’ll get anywhere from 2-4 frames of delay and the game itself runs fine if you have a decent PC. Cvs2 is the only one I’ve played, so I can’t vouch for the stability of the other games.
