Man, I’ve already joined like five covenants. They give you gifts for joining and you get to keep them when you ditch them.
60 normal 180 fire with a E/B bonus to str/dex. But most enemies don’t resist fire as heavily so you’ll see more damage.
It is the version I got by taking a sword hilt weapon to +10 then putting the soul into it. The bonuses on each stat are a C. I think mine is the true version since it also hits for magic damage.
I think he has high magic resist. DON’T block his magic, especially the homing one, because that will most likely fuck you up. If you want to fight him then learn how to roll to dodge him, but as for story progression, you are going the wrong way. Hug the wall to your right after you enter darkroot garden between the first and second enemy and you should find a path that you can follow down. You should find a bonfire, keep heading down that path, then when you get to a new area follow the cliffside. You’ll eventually find a cave and a locked door, with the cave leading to where you are supposed to go next as well as the key which you can use on the locked door.
Found the ninja armor and iaito a few days ago and been playing with a ninja build ever since. I’m in Anor Londo right now, shit is nuts. The level itself is fucking long, tons of black knights, and a dual boss where when you kill one the other powers up.
Well actually I’m not there anymore, there’s a huge painting in the level, and if you examine it, it sucks you into itself. It’s an entirely new level. Some ruined castle in the snowy mountains.
Servers shut down at the beginning of 2012 I think.
And I think the sewer merchant only sells one of them. This spot nets me 2 - 3 per run, and I earn about 4k in souls (7k if I wanted a little more effort).
Roll when he does his homing attack. Roll when he does his laser beam (roll INTO it, TOWARDS it right when it’s about to hit you). Block and strafe when he does that fast attack. If your shield actually has good magic resist by that point in the game, then you should only take about 10% of your health. If you can’t roll well, then look at your equip burden to see if you are wearing too much equipment. Also he only does magic attacks, so wear whatever armor you have that grants the highest magic defense.
He’s weak to fire, so firebombs work well against him. He’ll also land after a while and do an EXTREMELY slow explosive attack. Two hand your weapon and clobber him for half his health, or if he’s almost finished by that point keep going and kill him.
EDIT: also if you die against the boss, don’t fight your way through those statue guys, just run past them. Much quicker.
I just beat the Catacombs and am trying to make my way through the Tomb of the Giants. I’ve been stuck here for over a day now, this place is hard.
I believe the normal version doesn’t have Magic damage, but it is Cursed (so it can hit ghosts) and it has about 70 more Physical damage at +5. According to the guide, the True version should have scaling: C, C, B, B. While the normal has: C, C, C, C.
I believe the sewer merchant has 4 humanity.
Light Helmet
Spoiler
Knight Solaire’s helmet gives off light, but you must kill him (as a hollow) in order to get it. You also have to enter the area, where you kill him, through a certain entrance or you cannot get the drop.
Mothra is defeated, new ember get! Also got a magic weapon scroll, supposed to reinforce my right hand weapon but I can’t seem to make it work. Tried it with caster rod in each hand, no caster rod, no sword in hand, empty handed, etc. Can’t make this shit work. Only thing I haven’t messed with is trying it near enemies, but I don’t think it works like that.
Gaping dragon is the easiest shit ever, how’s he so easy but little ass Capra Demon and Mothra are so hard?
Stop the music and they stay in the cell when you respawn and drop humanity at like a 15% rate with a snake ring equipped. The only ones that are at the point that they can do this are apparently me and sonic, it is way later in the game for you, and you’ll know when you get there by that mysterious hint.
i got the gravelord sword (255 attack!) and gravelord sword storm in the catacombs
got to the end of catacombs, but got stuck at the part where you fall down 1 of 2 holes and theres black knights at the bottom (apparently theres only supposed to be 1 but im lucky! i have 2) so sometimes you die before you even land…and then theres the 5 pinwheels that all gank you as soon as you land on that floor. and then there’s the camera that gets you killed! after a few death runs i said fuck this dumb shit im coming back when i have 3842038409234 vit.
decided to go kill ammy i mean great wolf sif to make myself feel better. that was one of the most fun fights in the game so far, i went from AMG I CANT DO ANYTHING to a perfect kill (after a bunch of dying, of course). i felt kinda bad tho because ammy is just too cuuuuuuuuuute i mean come on its a dog with a sword
i accidentally killed andrei (undead parish blacksmith) so i think i gotta get to NG+ asap as im probably screwed now on upgrading
Was in the sewers, some asshole invaded my game before I had a second chance at fighting that crater dragon (or whatever, sewer dragon thing) and I beat the shit out of him with FIRE!! It was awesome, got me 6000+ souls and humanity.
But, uh, that dragon was a bitch. I didn’t do shit for damage on him, but he wasn’t very tuff.
In the end, I was lucky to run into some online help and summoned 2 random online dudes to help me out. I know of the 2 NPCs you can summon before fighting that dragon, but first try, they didn’t help much and just got themselves killed.
