Where do I go after the Gargoyles? I went to some forest and ice creatures and shit but the Loch Ness Monster rapes me.
You can get arrows by heading upward into the Undead Burbs. There’s a Merchant selling Bows, Crossbows, and arrows for both
Have you tried stocking up on firebombs? Basically bait attack, then firebomb him as you walk back. Once you get to the other side of the bridge, bait an attack and run behind him. Make sure you kill the skeletons before starting the fight. Oh and there’s a shield that can block Taurus’s attacks, but I don’t know the name.
Taurus is easy if you just jump on his head. Don’t take time to aim or he’ll jump up at you.
After the church, the bell is past Blighttown.
Just wasted like an hour and a half trying to kill a black knight. That was really retarded of me, and I’m never doing that again.
Yeah I realized that. Any tips to get past the bridge the dragon is sitting on?
Those guys aren’t too bad really. Just don’t bother taking them on until you can survive taking two hits so you have room to mess up. Once you do, just keep back stabbing them. They have a kinda slow turn radius, so that combined with some long recovery attacks, you should be fine. It’ll just take a while.
Think I will restart and pick a character type with more HP/better skills at the beginning. Getting raped by like ten ghosts right now and it’s annoying me, figured I could correct some mistakes.
Lol, u mad
It’s been well established that the Disgaea series doesn’t take itself seriously. It’s a melting pot of pop-culture references, crude jokes, and ridiculous situations. And it still has a better story, because it at least provides some good laughs.
Seems like you’re the one hating here. I just told it like it is. Dark Souls is a game devoid of life and is dull. Yes, that’s the atmosphere From Soft was going for, and I can respect that, but it’s not my thing. That doesn’t mean I’m going to fellate the game and act like it’s the end-all-be-all rpg. Because It’s not.
Like I said, if I bought this with my own money, I would have returned it already. But I didn’t, so I’ll play it from time to time if I have no other rpg options.
At least it now has a color palette that is more than gray and faded sepia.
Gonna bounce outta this thread now before the rage train comes through. Thanks for playing!

I started a Pyro last night and I’m loading up on Dex so I can use a bow and eventually a spear. Didn’t have nearly as much time to play it last night as I wanted though, looking forward to playing it more tonight and when I get home and this weekend. I’m hoping I can do what I did in Demon’s Souls and never put a single point into my defense or HP. All I pumped was agility, dex, and magic though I did pump my strength enough to carry the PFS.
Is there an equivalent to the PFS in this game? And did any one beat the Asylum Demon with only the sword hilt? I read he drops his weapon if you do, and it’s supposed to be easy if you choose firebomb as your gift, though equipping it requires a lot of strength.
Gasa, I beat them all except for the on in the parish with the huge sword. The others were all easy.
The fact that I can’t buy this game until tonight at midnight when I get paid is driving me nuts… And the fact I won’t be able to play much until the weekend is equally painful.
paths that I found
[details=Spoiler]
Starting from the first bonfire after the crow steals you can go up (undead burg), down (ruins of something) or forward (you’ll be in a cemetary, on a path to the left leads to the catacombs (DON’T GO THERE))
from the burg you can follow the main path (undead parish bonfire), or you can follow a path before the bonfire that leads upward which leads to some shit I haven’t really explored
from the parish bonfire, you can go forward which leads to (darkroot something) but if you hug the wall to your right a little after you enter it you’ll find a downward leading path that goes to (darkroot something else), but if you keep following the path down you’ll wind up in (drakes something),
and if you follow the narrow path on your left then you’ll eventually wind up with a locked door on your right that leads back to (ruins of something), or (blight town) on your left (which is where you can get the key for the ruins of something).[/details]
Spoiler for area names that I can remember and vague directions.
Comes into topic, rages how much he hates the game in several posts. Someone calls him out on having bad taste to begin with.
Gets upset some more and makes another rage post, then tells someone else there mad.
What…?

BTW, I don’t know if I’m just really shitty at the game or something, but there are these random knights I run into sometimes (wearing rusted golden armor), and they rape the shit out of me. For the most part, I just avoid them, but is that wise?
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, you are not supposed to go all the way across the bridge. About halfway, and on the right, there are some stairs that lead under the bridge (to a bonfire). Just keep going under the bridge.
For the people who aren’t sure where the “next” place to go after the Church Bell:

Spoiler
go back to the dragon bridge and open the locked door near the Solaris Knight (guy who gives you the White Soapstone). You should have the key by now.
Party Chat is disabled but you can 1 to 1 Private Chat…just like MW2’s setup, guess they can’t lock out Private Chat at all.
I saw a tip on the bridge saying “right” but the dragon killed me before I reached anything. Do I just have to run?
Anything I should know going in blind? Like Demon’s Souls had
Demon’s Souls
Spoiler
kill Yurt immediately and don’t kill Patches. Save your boss souls or you lose out on unique weapons.
.
I don’t know if people have played enough to know these kind of things yet, but I second the motion is someone DOES know.
I will say one thing I like about this game from vids I’ve seen are the boss fights. I saw a vid with a wolf fighting with a sword. Looked pretty boss.
If this game was just room after room of these boss fights or just a world with only bosses ala SotC, I could look past the drab and dull

Yep, you just have to run fast without stopping lol.
