And it’s also noticeably easier to sneak around enemies.
Is there a place where Demon’s Souls announces its World Tendency Events cause i missed not only the Halloween one but the Winter Solstice one as well.
I see, did not know that.
On a side note… Fat Minister hat is top tier. Then I got the Gloom helmet. Two prong FTW.
Srsly I thought I’d be roleplaying as a theif/assassin when I chose the thief class but classes don’t matter unless you want specific stats!
So like…going pure magic is making the game pretty easy. Don’t get me wrong, I still die, but all I seem to have to figure out is where the attacks will be coming from and I can one-hit everyone cold. I’m using the Insanity Catalyst + Ring of Magical Sharpness + Kris+1, so I know I’ve buffed my damage a lot.
I just didn’t think it would turn the game into this.
Yeah, I found that using ranged magic was more or less easy mode and boring at the same time. The only magic/miracles I use are light weapon, warding, and anti-magic field. If I’m soul grinding, I’ll use Soul Thirst and Evacuation.
Magic is pretty broken in PvP though, especially if you’re going up against mulitple people. I got my face destroyed by one duo that had a mage on their team that tagged me with poison, plague, and corrosion. Not only did I go down without a fight, it totally destroyed my equipment… repairing black gloom, meat clever, and compound long bow repaired from being totally destroyed sucks, lemme tell you that right now, lol.
Yo,
so I guess I pre ordered this game and it came with this little artbook and soundtrack. It has just been sitting on my bookshelf untouched, and it kind of irritates me sitting there because I am never going to use it. I am anti-clutter so I’d like to get rid of it.
If somebody wants this, I’d only ask for whatever it takes me to ship it to you.
Right on, can I get it?
I just picked up a copy of the game. I can not wait to check it out. Not sure how this game works, but if anyone wants to add me to their PSN network I will play with ya. Well, I will play with you when I know what the fuck I am doing.
Yeah, magic is top tier in this game. When I first played through with a mage I didn’t die once and barely ever got hit. Also killing Black Phantoms was so much easier, just spam ranged magic attacks and put warding on.
So how does trading work in this game?
I’ve been farming for a pure Bladestone for about a three days now and I was hoping there was some way to get it off someone if possible.
Also, it doesn’t help that whenever I turn Shrine of Storms into a PBWT so I can try to farm one off the BP dual katana boy, WT bug kicks in when I turn off the PS3 and come back a few hours later.
Is there an easy way to turn world to white tendency?
Easiest way is to blue phantom and kill a boss really.
Anyone else having trouble with pvp. I’m a melee build and I can’t stop getting my ass beat. i’m a level 117 with brushwood armor, tower shield 5, baby nail and blue moon combo. I do like 340 dmg and it seems like people with no armor just tear me up. I"m finding it hard to believe someone with little to no armor can take my hits so easily but can dish it out ten fold back.
Dying in the Nexus is safe? Or does the Nexus have black/white tendency too?
PVP is tough. I find that speed is much better than defence. You need to be able to roll quickly so get your equip burden to half total. Get their health down and then stick to them like glue because you know they’ll want to heal, and when they do thats when you strike. Remember whenever you can don’t block… yes… don’t block. You need to regenerate stamin as much as possible in a PVP fight. Only block when you see an attack coming.
With magicians it’s a piece of cake just spam any ranged magic attacks and stay away. With sword and shield dude I usually use a weapon that will knock them down on the ground like the dragon bone sword or great axe, then when they get up and their health is low they usually go ape shit trying to attack me and I just block until they’re done and their stamina is low then slash them to death with a long sword which is fast and takes little stamina. They can’t block because their stamina is drained and I can keep swinging the sword till they die.
But yeah, it’s tough. Takes a lot of practice and even then you can still lose. You can try being a little sneaky. As soon as you see the message that the black phantom is coming, hide behind a wall and wait till they walk by. As soon as they do run up behind them and stab them in the back. From there just keep them from healing and you shouldn’t have a problem. :lovin:
Safe.
I just started playing the game; clocked 2 hours so far, but am still raoming the Boletarian palace; I’ve reached a tower which leads to 2 locations; an outside plain where there seems to be a giant dragon, and the other to a bridge which a flying dragon attacks by spewing flame =_=
Where am I supposed to go from here? BTW I’m SOul lvl. 4 and am a Knight.
EDIT: Also when should I kill Yurt? I recall reading over here that I should kill Yurt when I find him.
When you get to that bridge with the Red Dragon, try to lure the soldiers inside the tower using a bow + manual aim. Once you get it cleared up, make sure it’s clear of the dragon and haul your fat knight ass to the other side. To make sure you run fast, check to see if your equip burden is less than 50% of the total.
As for Yurt, you’re still quite a ways from even having to worry about Yurt. But you got the right idea, kill him.
Alright thanks, but why must I lure the enemies to come to me? Can’t I just let the dragon kill them then run like hell to the other side? Also is there any other swords that warp me back to the Nexus besides the one at the start of the palace?
I’m not sure if the dragon can kill those guys, but if he can, then do that instead.
And you get those “nexus swords” whenever you beat a boss.
You’re actually really close to a boss once you cross that bridge. How to beat him though, I’ll leave that to you to figure out >:D
