Also guys try not to throw away stuff you pick up, but rather get them to the storage. Even useless items will turn out important in some way or another.
Yeah like I mentioned you already mentioned the most important stuff (well maybe besides the crystal geckos) but the game would be a lot more frustrating if they miss for example thief’s ring and cling ring in 1-1, which happened to a lot of people who didn’t know about them prior to playing.
Yep, picked it up at 10am. They gave me a call last night telling me they had it. Apparently someone ratted them out so they aren’t calling people early anymore, sticking to release dates.
Well, the cling ring is pretty hard to miss IMO, you would have to be rushing through the level as fast as possible in order to miss it. But yeah the thief ring is relatively easy to miss and can make the game harder… it is a good reward for thorough exploration though, and it’s not as critical as the cling ring.
Using a guide for just 1-1 might not be a bad idea to help people get more familiar with the game, but I definitely don’t recommend it for the game as a whole.
Isn’t the cling ring located in one of the towers you need to go down in to open a shortcut door? You don’t even need to go there, and I missed it myself in my 1st play-through of the level.
Good call on my typo. I meant to type miracle not miracles. I will edit my original post for clarity.
I was able to use evac while a black phantom was in my game. Though it is entirely possible that he/she fell and died moments before that or something. Not sure, I haven’t really looked into it. It worked for me though.
It impacts only the beginning of the game.
A Royal will give you an easy life in the beginning, and on higher levels you’ll be forced to be versatile anyways no matter which character you picked.
Some Bosses are easiset with melee, some are with magic, and some are with a bow. You’ll have to use them all at some point.
The online is integral to the normal play of this game, theres no lagginess to speak of normally.
BTW, if you are a completionist gamer, be aware that you will need to beat this game 4 times in order to collect every item/earn the platinum trophy.
There’s a lot of events and items that happen in this game based on Character and World tendency - your actions (including dying) have an impact on how “white” or “black” both you and the separate worlds are, and if you get to pure White or pure Black new areas unlock, NPCs show up, etc. It is possible to unlock all white and black events in a single playthrough, if you do things in a specific way… however, it is only practical to do this in offline mode and with basically every action of yours planned out in advance. Therefore, I highly recommend not bothering with it on your first playthrough. I know people will want to do this so they can see as much of the game as possible in one playthrough, but it will seriously ruin the fun of the game for you. Demons Souls has so much replay value, and it will take 4 cycles to get every item and the Platinum trophy anyway, that it is not worth ruining the fun of your first playthrough by trying to be a completionist right from the beginning. Just play the game and have fun with it and don’t worry about stuff.
You can do it the other way for New Game+ or just with a new character after, and you’ll have to anyway if you’re truly going for 100%, so for your first time, just play the game!
Umm 3 and just 2 worlds on NG+++
Also you can share items thus trophies among players.
So “all weapons”, “all rings”, “get max weapon by Xstone” trophies are all “shareable”.
And if you wanna get pure white tendency in a world, after every boss where you get your body again, be sure to suicide by jumping in the nexus, as it doesn’t effect the world tendency.
Also be warned of the glitch (look for "bugs after patch 1.02) which can only happen during online play, so for pure white I’d recommend never logging in until you get the stuff pure white is needed for.
