Not watching that as I don’t want DS2 spoiled for me, but I highly doubt DSP beat any Souls game regardless of how much help he’s gotten.
DSP beat all 3 games. But he could only beat Demon’s with co-op(he could not slay the king) and he did take out the final boss in Dark Souls on his own. But he was only able to proceed because by that time, he had a stream up and his fans joined for the later half of the game doing a lot of the work for him. He was able to clear the game because he got my strongest weapon, The Gravelord Sword buffed, from a fan.
Just spent a bit of time messing around with Jaxel’s stream playthrough, all punching all the time. Surprising amount of damage and poise. The power stance one-two combo is enough to stunlock most enemies, and if that doesn’t work the heavy lariat attack might do it instead. Bosses get DROPPED.
Yeah the caestus power stance moveset does a shit load of stun in every hit. A Caestus roll attack trade did enough stun for my opponent to follow it up and combo me to death.
It’s like footdive in a fist.
Only thing is that the range is absolute shit. Especially with this game’s netcode where you can struggle to hit with weapons with 5x the reach.
Man fists sound legit. I looked into doing a fist set up in DS1 but the weapon options just don’t look very good.
DS1 caestus did absolute shit for damage and had shit range too. Was joke tier stuff.
DS2 caestus also has pretty legit guard breaking pressure and since they have low recovery on most of their moves, they can go straight for the riposte after the guard break.
Fists are a lot better now, which is really nice. You can tell FROM actually tried to make every weapon type viable this go around.
Great Club +10 is a fucking brutal amazing weapon.
Apparently, the Manikins in Earthen Peak are the masked enemies from the trailer…

Haha! Manus down. I gave him a couple shots tonight and he kicked my ass so i took a break a knocked out the painted world. I used the Souls there to lvl up 3 or 4 times. I don’t think it made a HUGE difference but it certainly helped. I went back after finishing the painted world and after about 4 more tries i got him down. Feels good man. I thought I’d get to see Dusk be rescued or something tho, was disappointed he just died and a bonfire sprang up, but no Dusk
Hm? Dusk’s body shows up right where Manus dies, IIRC, or at least in the general area. She’s laying on the ground.
Hmmm I didn’t see her. I’ll have to go back and look tomorrow i guess. I circled the arena but didn’t see her.
She won’t be there if you leave and come back.
Pretty hard to miss… Some bug may have caused her not to spawn, since I doubt you killed her. You didn’t, did you?
Not that I saw…I mean I swung through Manus corpse cuz I was hitting the button again but I doubt I killed her. Didn’t hear a scream or anything like I had killed her, and Elizabeth was plenty nice to me when i returned to the Sanctuary. If she’s gone from there (Which is fine) then does she return to her regular summon spot?
Yea, if she isn’t dead.
She doesn’t say anything except for grunts IIRC, you didn’t miss any dialogue.
I’d go for Kalameet next, although I have to disagree on his tail being the hardest. I had more trouble with Priscilla’s due to how small it is and keeping her alive long enough to make her visible. I know there are pyro tricks to make her reappear without dealing too much damage, but that one took me the longest. Kalameet’s isn’t too bad as long as you have a good stability shield or the fastest roll. Just dance around him until he sits on his hind legs and breaths fire, then run around and hit his tail while he’s stuck in the animation.
I’ve become obsessed with beating Ancient Dragon, even though I don’t need to.
wait for him to breathe fire, smack his toes and run like hell when he takes to the skies.
Kalameet is tough to get because of the short window in which to get to his tail.
Priscilla just take her tail while she is still nice to you then kill her.
Congrats on beating Manus.
Kalameet is hard because you can only reach his tail with certain weapon attacks, with certain weapons, during a window of about 3 seconds of 1 attack that he has. It’s retarded. Priscilla is sooooo easy when she’s not invisible. I get it no problem every attempt. Follow the footprints in the snow and just bait. Or use a spell like Firestorm or Gravelord Sword Dance.
Getting Kalameet’s tail is just retarded because you can’t even reach it unless you have a long weapon. On top of that you have to continuously dodge all of his bullshit and basically wait until he decides to do the one attack where it’s vulnerable every once in a blue moon. Then, even if you actually manage to cut it off you still have to survive the battle. Plus the attack he does is ambiguous as fuck. He can go into his only vulnerable animation, or go into a completely different radial attack.
Priss is a hard tail cut in a super easy fight. Which is to say it’s an easy tail cut.
Kalameet is a hard fight with a hard cut, it’s easily the hardest cut in the game.
