damn man I was so lost, think im almost to the mirror knight boss
Twinblades…!
I know what my end-game weapons are going to be now. Can you dual-wield those?
Btw, where in the hell are the katana? I haven’t seen any yet.
I haven’t found any katana either, but the game keeps teasing me with them during loading screens. I want that Manslayer.
Beat the Moonlight Butterfly tonight and scored it’s Soul. Worth holding onto?
I back tracked and headed into the Depths. It was decent going until i dropped down where that HUGE fucking rat is. He knocked m down this slanted water way deeper into the sewers, and I ended up getting mobbed by two rats and some fucking thing with giant eyeballs and shit. Fuck man…just when I was feelin like i could handle myself to.
Oh I also used a cross Bow to take off that Dragons Tail. After I got that Ax from the Goblin boss on accident I’m interested in takin tails off stuff now when possible. Got some Dragon Sword from it with a great attack stat. Didn’t help me much in the Depths tho!! lol.
With the Moonlight Butterfly Soul, you can make a spear or a shield(which was so broken at one point that it had to be nerfed). Consuming it will only give you about 1200 souls, IIRC, so you might as well hold on to it.
The Depths can be a pretty fucked up place if you don’t take it slow and thoroughly check your surroundings. You can plunging attack the giant rat, and you should stay out of the gas the “big-eyed” things let out. You don’t even want to know what’ll happen if you stay in it too long… Just be careful.
The Drake Sword is a great weapon early on. It’s a borderline crutch, however, it won’t last too long. Upgraded weapons will soon outclass it due to the fact that its damage doesn’t scale with your stats.
Yo I am 25 hours in and I’m still in starting gear and weapons and I can’t find anymore titanite SHARDS or even a place to buy anti-poison items, anyone know where that stuff is?
Do these people actually expect NamcoBandai to answer? Seriously? Try asking Valve for Half-Life 3 while you’re at it.
While I don’t mind the visual downgrade from what was shown at E3 and TGS I can’t help but notice certain areas look visually worse in some respects compared to the first game. Mostly due to the shift from static lighting to dynamic lighting causing certain areas to look very flat. That said, this game could be stick figures and it would still be better than most things on the market today; the gameplay is what matters.
They’re gonna get a canned response.
Spoiler
Major items sit in metal boxes so that’s good to know
Spend em, the lance is meh, and the shield be delicate, unless you have the proper wing.
You’ll learn about the basilisk too. The big eyeball thingies.
iron keep those knight guys drop a katana
some enemies drop shards like the green dudes with hammers in the mines
I completely messed up this play through. Destroyed boxes thinking they are mimics and missing out on items. Chose dual swordsmen and put stats in DEX when STR lets you power stance. Trying to beat the knight that levitates and kills me in two hits thinking maybe they just made this game harder. Reset my stats thinking maybe I messed up cause I cant equip armor and die again. Finally I check online and I missed a lever I walked past like six times to get to the next area. Despite it being on the wall in front of you as you walk in cause my eyes are scanning the floor, and its about at head level.
Unrelated there is a person sitting under a tree near the beginning of the game. You can’t interact with him, but he doesn’t attack. Does killing them lock me out of doing something else later?
That is an enemy that doesn’t aggro till struck.
STR lets you power stance, but you only need a base level of it (+50% of the weapon’s STR requirement). Weapons that scale with DEX still do more damage when dual wielding with a high DEX value. Yeah the pursuer is kind of a dick, but once you get his timing down you should be able to dodge everything he does. I beat him before I realized how to level up with only my dinky dagger and a few soul arrows. I honestly doubt you’ve screwed your play through up, it’s honestly pretty hard to do that in any of the souls games.
Can you spoiler man? Goddamn.
Anyway, I completed my descent into the Majula hole.
[details=Spoiler]I’m satisfied with the challenge Black Gulch (and everything before it) provided me. God that rat boss fight was so terrible though. I was stuck on that battle alone for at least two hours of straight dying.
Next area just gets even worse…I got lost for so long, and kept ending up in areas I had already been to…all the while scared that ANY part of the floor could drop out under me.
The Rotten was a fucking awesome boss though. One of the few enemies in a souls game that’s REALLY huge but still really hard to kill. Getting to him is half the battle though, until you find the hidden bonfire…either way, Black Gulch is gonna be a fun place for invasions…
Went and killed Scorpion Quelaag before I went to bed, too. I shall be exploring the Pharros area once I get off work. [/details]
Dark Pyro glove is also sick. I barely even go human because of it.
I know there is worse shit to come, but…
Spoiler
New Bell Gargoyle fight.
Yeah and there’s like, 20 this time.
[details=Spoiler]New Bell Gargoyle fight.[/details]ya i beat them yesterday. Why they change the name of Mirror knight to looking glass knight? Mirror knight sounded better
