That’s what I did but now on my NG+ I’m using the Wiki so I can find ALL OF THE SHIT I MISSED.
Got to Ash Lake for the first time, lit the bonfire didn’t rest at it and promptly got ktfo by one of those asshole shroom dudes. Got pissed and went and killed Quelaag and moved on
This is what happens when you dont have deicide servers, no one is checking profiles or anything. Dark souls 2 is going to have deicide servers. Also the armor is going to have stat requirements
All the hackers congregate at areas like Sens Fortress anyways. Most fun I had in invading was watching scrubs roll off to their death with infinite life
I fucked up and didn’t let Siegmeyer kill any Chaos monsters. Now I have to start this process all over again in NG+. Also I love hiding when someone has invaded me. Like “I’m busy ya know, I don’t feel like dealing with your bullshit (puts on ring of fog and nestles into a corner).”
Doesn’t this actually happen though? I don’t think I killed him.
My first run of the dlc I was planning to try out forest pvp afterwards so i avoided killing Sif, but someone wanted help with 4 knights so I went to the grave and was surprised with the new cutscene.
Something like Sif licking face than howling off into oblivion. When I came out the cutscene he pretty much offed himself, unless my partner was somehow fighting while I was in cutscene; he did come out of the cutscene swinging like crazy.
Alas them feels tho… it is in the spirit of the series. Just look at Astraea or Priscilla.
Also want a Crossbreed Covenant. They can make it so she didn’t get killed as canon.
Did NOT know that there was a Demon’s/Dark Soul’s community on here! Super cool.
I only have Demon’s souls; bought it back in 2009 and got to soul level 60 something before I got sidetracked for quite a while. I tried to get back into it, but was completely in the dark in regards to where I was supposed to go or what I was building towards; so I, sadly, had to scrap my character.
I started playing the game again this week and I got the bug–again! Forgot how much fun it was. I’m gonna PvE through the first game and then try to find the other Dark Soul’s games.
I’m excited that they’re doing a sequel to Demon’s. Its such a great game.
I have a question for all of you: What is your take on Havoc’s decision to have your starting class have little outcome to how you end?
Yeah, the cutscene actually does change, but you still have to fight him. Your partner had to have killed him before the cutscene ended or something,
Why do you say Priscilla dying is canon?
By Havoc I assume you mean From Soft…
In regards to your question, this has been a basic concept since Demon’s Souls, and considering how the level up system works it’s more of an inevitability rather than something intentionally implemented by From.
By the time you get close to the end game, it gets to a point where it’s more benifical to start spreading your character out more to compensate in areas you didn’t focus on before, rather than continuing to focus on stats that benifitted your initial build.
Yes. From soft. I didn’t feel like doing the research into who made the game
I understand the concept of the (almost) classes system; at the beginning is where most classes differentiate from one another, then blend over time to be fairly similar. I was asking more so what people’s thoughts were on their decision to blur the lines between classes and play-styles rather than giving you a class (Like a Priest, Wizard, or Rogue) with very class specific qualities.
I prefer having classes be unique with their own skillset/traits, but I think what they’ve done still works for a game like this, since the stats determine the types of gear/spells you can use (thus determining what kind of class you are). Plus, this system lets you make up your own “custom” classes.
By the end of my Demons souls run with my original character I was on like new game 1mil and haveing the ability to use everything in the game, that was pretty much how my DaS Character went also. But it is possible to stick with your class. Usually as a purest invader or some such. But yeah any PVP it was what is a fun weapon build now augment everything around it. You can do alot within the parameters of the games. Me and a friend did Belmont builds and invaded or got invaded. We had specific rules for our builds and everything. Most of my builds in DeS are all scumbag f you builds when I invade though. DaS were all complex and shit.
I like making builds with a unique look and feel. I messed with all kinds of armor and weapon combinations. I’m that Guy that would try quick swapping gear mid combat with invaders >:)
Wouldn’t want to get tied down to what devs think a build should be. At least for an online game where everyone else is mostly the same (looking at pre-patched havels ninja flipping errywhere).
Set classes work in something like dragon age telling an origin story with influence thrown in slightly later. Dunno how dragons dogma went about with it plot-wise, haven’t gotten around to it. I do know they have different skill trees.
Dark Souls, like Fallout, lets the world tell it’s story.
New video, for me at least. The boss they show is awesome, and I’m now torn between which class to begin with. I was pretty sure I was gonna start as a Sorcerer, but the Temple Knight is looking pretty damn good, for a starter class at least.
