They kicked up the environments, that shits amazing. Loving the clothing effects.
Fuck.

Fuck.
I really like what I see… No real qualms about anything thus far.
WOW… that fuckin wyvern castle shit looked amazing.
I have no idea how forcing you to choose between protection or the ability to see is “kiddie Skyrim casual” but yeah, more power to you for a stupid comment. Also Dark Souls had a whole area like that, this is just a step up in that direction. You should probably play Dark Souls more before speaking.
New graphics looks nice, the potential for bigger enemies to Nemesis follow me between sections is kind of daunting but whatever, I enjoy killing everything so shouldn’t be a problem.
Relax, child. No one mentioned you directly or indirectly so why are white-knighting so hard for the hypothetical?
Untuck your nuts and breathe a little, life is too short for this internet bickering shit.
BTW, “that area” in Dark Souls you mentioned, Tomb of the Giants? Thats why I put ‘cast light’ in my post. You dont have choose between protection and sight.
Your post has all the makings of an internet dudebro who got served and is falling back on the usual. “Child” and “White-knighting” which doesn’t even make sense in this context lol, you just salty your little Skyrim joke you felt was incredibly clever got blown up.
Stay classy.
I’ve only seen 2 Dark Souls elitist posts so far since the reveal and apparently the torch is “Throwing a dick to Skyrim Casuals” Lol get the fuck outta here.
To be fair, I don’t remember them saying there wouldn’t be a spell that lights up areas. The torch is probably just an option for non-Int builds, or something. Every Souls game thus far has had such spells so, why wouldn’t this one?
Making wild assumptions this early makes zero sense, btw.
Dark Souls II gameplay, motherfuckers!!! Looks fucking sick!
GameSpot has an article up with more details: http://uk.gamespot.com/features/welcome-to-dark-souls-ii-youre-already-dead-6406777/?tag=Topslot%3BDarkSoulsIi%3BWelcomeToDarkSoulsIi%3BReadMore
Apparently bosses will come looking for the player now, instead of the usual “find the boss in his lair” deal. I can see the potential in this. The boss fights could be dynamic, where if you fight a boss in one location, the same battle could be entirely different in another area of a level.
I’m trying my damnedest to beat 1 before DSII comes out. I made some decent progress (i think, though honestly I’m just wandering around killing stuff) last night, killed the titanite demon between the UD parish and the bog//swamp, figured out how to beat own those giants that wake up in the swamp and killed the butterfly.
Fighting the respawning enemies has been more challenging than bosses for me so far, in that I’ve beaten pinwheel and the butterfly in 1 and 2 tries respectively. Though the hydra has sniped me twice, even though I’m not sure if it is a boss or just a big tough guy.
Wasn’t Gametrailers suppose to have some big thing today about DS2? Saw the IGN video man ohh man it looked awesome!
Hydra is a non-respawning mini-boss. You’ll want to go toe-to-toe with him later on when you can take a few hits of his.
DSII looks good to me. I like everything I see so far, the crushing difficulty seems intact and the huge scope of the world is there as well as the interesting level designs. Graphics don’t seem like a huge step-up from DS1 or Demon’s Souls, especially when you consider how much the developers were hyping the graphics up. This isn’t a big deal at all though, because I find the texture detail and artstyle of both Souls games great already, so whatever.
The box art for the cover has been realeased. Oddly enough I thought of Silent Hill when I saw it, it again features a character walking with his back to you.
The cinematic trailer, gameplay footage and now the box art all feature the same guy in the same exact outfit. That blueish armor with the fur. I wonder if you’ll be able to choose the sex of and customize your PC. I can’t wait to see some of the caster sets.
The gameplay demo gave me a HUGE sigh of relief. From Software delivers and I honestly can’t wait for this game to come out.
And boy it’s going to be a loooooong wait.
Me griping: this fucking camera can not decide what it wants to do against the Capra Demon…and fuck those dogs too
Turn off the auto wall recovery in the options.
It stops the camera from trying to auto itself.
It looks so pretty now. I feel like everyone will get it for PC.
That helped a lot thanks. I got him after a couple more fights. He wasn’t too bad as long as you avoid getting DPed (the not fighting game one) by dogs.
Before you get good at the game, the capra demon fight is pretty much dependent on if the dogs play nice or not.
