Demon's/Dark Souls Thread. Dark Souls II!

Dont get the Master Key as a starting gift if its your first run.
Starting class means very little.

What is it about this game that attracts so many scrubs with 50,000 rules about when and with what you shouldn’t hit them, how does a game that’s constantly marketed as hard and brutal get a community that wants to turn the pvp into a kiddie pool?

This is a good god damned question.

Probably some sadist with a troubled past that enjoys cutting unsuspecting adventurers with huge blades and squash them with boulders.

Whats that ridiculous huge katana? lmfao.

Maaaan, that tanite demon you can farm is FUCKING BULLSHIT!
ALWAYS FUCKING 1-shots me!
Ng+ and I’m level 153, getting raaaaaaaped!
every boss has been cake in comparison. WTF is his weakness, fire or lightning?

My only bosses left in this play through are the Gravelord(saving for achievement) and the Witch (who is a pain in the ass).
I need some Covenant stuff, but nothing important ( think) Darkwraith stuff, mainly

Also, wish you could imput how many of the Cov items you want to give. Instead of wasting all day!@

I may have to pick up Dark Souls for PC since it’s on sale for 33% off on Steam.

I’ll have to withstand the temptation of emulating what some of the guys on Youtube are doing to get their PvP builds…

You have six hours as of this post to buy it at 50% off. Might be the last chance to get it at this deal until the last day when they hopefully do a “last chance” type thing.

To be honest…
When youre on the final mission, wait! lol.
make sure you upgarade your weapons and farm the correct areas.
Yeah, its a pain, but its worth it.

The weapons wont get “better” like in diablo or torch light, ya diiig? lol.

I’m around 150 on NG+ and while i beat the shit out of some bosses, most can still 1-2 shot me. :frowning: Feels like the game is stalking me as I level.
Ps. 2-handed halbred is as cheap as i thought it was… When it hits, you can chain it all day, haha.
So dude invaded me and missed and he got the pike in his ass.

Also, I talked to big hat and he still wasn’t in the big cell. LOL.
I need to check how that area is for farming. I get around 30k with the ring and Mask in the forest. Its faster than painted world and around the same.

Got my purchase in right before the cut-off. Should be a good time.

Also, Steam downloads are hella fast.

Started playing Demon’s Souls yesterday. I never realized how much better the graphics in Dark Souls were, lol. Still good enough though.

I can already tell that this game is gonna be way harder. First Phalnax boss had me freaking the fuck out until I remembered that I seemed to pick up an unusual amount of Firebombs.

Dark Souls is always a good time; at least for me it is.

Demons Souls has the better art design IMO.

I started playing Dark Souls last week and its fucking awesome.

I’m not so sure where I should be going now though. I have a few paths I could go down.

  1. Valley of the drakes
  2. Catacombs (went about halfway through)
  3. Save souls to buy that thing from the blacksmith to open the glowing door in the forest.

yo hold up

what was the last 3 bosses you did? hard to gauge your progress lol.

I think I’m level 35. I think the last 3 bosses I beat were Carpus Demon? (Bull guy with dogs), Moonlight Butterfly, and the mini boss Hydra.

I went to the Valley of the Drakes and I didn’t feel like I was doing any damage to them so I left after one flew away, but then I noticed I gained like a 1000 souls so maybe you don’t kill them and they just run instead, not sure.

I still wanna kill the Red Dragon on the bridge but he hasn’t shown up the last few times I’ve gone there.

Finally able to kill the 3 black knights I’ve encountered.

You need to head into the Sewers. When you kill the Capra demon you get a key. Head downstairs (left) when you leave his room and follow the wall on your right. There should be a door that needs the key you just got. If you go left upstairs from there, you’ll find a shortcut to firelink shrine and a NPC that sells stuff.

Also the red dragon should return if you run up the bridge (atleast that’s what always worked for me)

I remember I got the key and opened the door but don’t remember if I went in there. I had alot of souls at the time and didn’t want them to go to waste so I might have turned back.

Thanks, I’ll double check to see if I went in there or not.

F the souls.

You’ll enjoy the game more IMO once you realize that souls are replenishable and never permanently lost; just takes a while to accumulate if you have no bosses. If you don’t want to level up, buy stuff: arrows, consumable buffs, healing items, upgrade materials, etc.

Fucking damn this game.

You were right OSD, I forgot to go back into the sewers. Did everything in there and came to the awesomeness known as Blighttown…what an annoying piece of shit that level is. Ladders that you can’t see combined with camera angles that are extremely annoying. Well I finally make it down to the bog/swamp part and I stumbled upon the Great Hollow which is probably the worst thing ever. I must’ve fallen about 20 damn times trying to find the piece of shit path that’s damn near invisible. You have no idea which tree limbs are actual routes or “just scenery”.

So I finally decided come back to this part later on, although now I’ve been cursed by those stupid frogs and I’m stuck in the Blighttown swamp…cursed. Am I just screwed? I was cursed once in the sewers and I had to go back to the bell tower (Bell Gargoyles) and buy one of those stones to remove it. Now I can’t even think of how long the path back would be.

Very frustrating.

Should’ve bought more than one purging stone from Oswald you cheap ass.

But lucky for you, the clams in the area after Great Hollow sometimes drop them.

Have you obtained the Lordvessel yet? If not then you’ll have to trek back up the tree in order to leave the place…bwahahahahah.
