I like to wait for my opponent to go into the bow animation then run behind them and stab them.
A bow user that is in range to be punished by a backstab when going into bow animation deserves that 
It’s almost as bad as doing a jump attack at close range.

Picked up Dark Souls yesterday. Going with a dex build. Taking my lumps and making my fair share of dumb mistakes, pretty much what I expected out of this game. Great time so far though.

Tons of great dex weapons out there. I’d recommend the Balder Side sword if you want an all around beast with amazing range and punishing abilities.
If you find no need for the items that the undead merchant sells (the one with a pet bucket named Yulia), you can kill him and get a pretty good katana.
I thought the katana was Yulia…
As side weapons to the Balder Sword, you should seek out the Falchion and the Winged Spear.
Falchion for straight offensive play (works best with buffs) and Winged Spear when you wanna block and attack simultaneously or just don’t wanna get too close to an enemy.
Diiirrty.

Alternatively there’s a Estoc really close to the spawn area that’s godlike when you upgrade it in New Londo Ruins to be exact. Amazing defensive dex weapon for mobs and players alike, especially with a great upgraded shield. shit for bosses
Makes a great backstab and parry weapon too.
LOL people in pvp don’t know what the fuck to do when they just see this barrel slowly creeping towards them 
What about 1 player and 3 barrels all slowly moving to the invader?
