Havel, from what I’ve gathered just by looking at his armor, murdered dragons. His armor is made of their scales, and he uses a tooth as a club. He is the hardest man alive (or dead).
Also, guys, what if in DS2 you can do some minor crafting like bombs, traps, poisons, etc. O:
Havel was a Bishop for Gwyn, but it’s widely believed that he was a double agent working for the Darkwraiths in order to restore darkness, and cast out the artificial sunlight placed over the land by Gwyn. Basically, he was trying to kill the Lords in Anor Londo. He failed, and this is the reason in which he is locked down in the basement near the Darkroot Basin.
Also, Vaclav Havel was a major figure in the velvet revolution, which kind of blew my mind.
The Gwynevere in the upstairs room is merely a projection. Orn, Smough, and the Silver Knights remained in the castle to protect her which I believe is around the same time that Havel was banished. You find that occult club in the basement, HIDDEN, because again, he conspired against Gwyn. This is why the desicion was made to flood New Londo, and why you see all the corpses on the ground once you release the water. They are the bodies of all the inhabitants of the town, as well as the Darkwraith members that resided there.
yes but wizardry and final fantasy are two completely different things, whereas Demon’s Souls is basically just the next chapter of the King’s Field/Shadow Tower universe
You guys should try out King’s Field and Shadow Tower. I didn’t play any From Soft games outside of the Souls games, and when seeing P. G talk about those two games I was interested and tried them out. They’re great, and they’ve aged really well. They have everything we love about the Souls games and more.
Jesus christ. You know, all of this lore wouldn’t seem as interesting if it wasn’t so mysterious. If it was straight out told you to it would seem more like a distraction to the game…
aren’t spiritual successors just similar in the game-play style. Not necessarily the story.
Do I have to back track after I fight the spider lady and the mutated son/brother?
Also, where does the bridge above the Hyrdra take you?
Similarly, how do I summon that girl?
Another thought I had was, do gestures really matter to the NPCs?
That video was cool, lot of stuff thats really cool. there is only one mention of you as the player.
seems like this game story is told with your fist. The things you do aren’t really affecting the story. Things that differ from player to player.
-If you have a master key, you can ride that rickety elevator thing up to Valley of The Drakes, and unlock a gate which will take you right next to the elevator in New Londo, which then you can ride up right to the Firelink Shrine.
-Takes you to Sif, a sick ass boss. Also Darkroot Garden and some nasty NPCs that are good for farming.
-What girl?
-I don’t think so, no.
