easy mode suggests that the difficulty comes artificially through tough enemies and a weak character in comparison, when in reality the difficulty comes from simple ignorance of the situation. Once you take the time to learn, its not hard.
Why would you ever remove that? Why would you EVER decide to take away such a critical skill that is important to ALL LIFE.
Is it really that good? Everyone that’s played it has told me that that was their favorite boss fight like, ever.
To make it easier for people who are afraid of playing games to buy your game.
I’m okay with easy mode IF normal mode as the same style of gameplay as the previous games, if multiplayer servers is separated between easy and normal mode, and if normal mode has exclusive content not available in easy mode.

Souls games already have easy mode… It’s called summoning two other players and watching them beat the area and boss for you.
I don’t think From really gives too much of a shit because I mean… look at Armored Core. I think its great, but its largely unaccepted and they don’t care. They keep making it the way they want to make it. Lets hope the same goes for DaS2.
You’re so right. I summoned one phantom for the Artorias fight, it was over in about a minute. There was absolutely no strategy involved.
So I stumbled upon this yesterday. Take a close look at the guy from the trailer’s helmet.
It looks like it might be recounting the battle of the chosen undead versus Seath. I’m not sure what that implies towards the story, but there were a few other little details like this spread throughout the trailer. For example, remember the dragon with a third eye? A lot of people are correlating that to the Dragon Eye Orb that you get in Dark Souls.
Not sure if any of this stuff means anything, but it’s interesting.

Except Seathe has no legs, much bigger wings, and didnt breathe fire. Also, the 3 eyed dragon looks like Kalameet in that he has the same eye. No other similarities beyond generic dragon stuff. Wings, is a dragon, etc.
The Dragon Eye Orb is named thusly because you are in the dragon covenant and all other covenants use orbs of different kinds. Duh.
People try too hard to find similarities in things that just aren’t there. You could also say that he looks like Gwyn cause of shoulder fur and no shield.
I’m hoping that when the new directors talk about making the game more accessible, they mean including a basic tutorial explaining how to play efficiently and in-depth descriptions of weapons, armor, stats, etc. Sort of like the Monster Hunter games, the tutorial is there but there still is a big learning curve you must overcome yourself.
Yeah I really don’t see them ruining their whole franchise just to get some more money. Changing it? Sure, but not far from the formula that works.
I’m pretty sure they will be extremely careful with the changes they make. They can’t be so ignorant to remove what made it a success.
Seath had legs at one point. Not everything on the helmet is going to be perfectly proportionate, lmao. That’s the only dragon that I can picture it being, mostly because of how the wings look. Also, there’s no gurantee that it’s actually fire coming out of it.
It’s just a speculation, I could be wrong. But From doesn’t just make shit aesthetic-wise for no reason. There’s lore behind everything. They could have just as easily made him wear a helmet with no design on it.
Now that you mention it… A dragon-slaying Dark Souls game where you play as a young Lord Gwyn would be pretty awesome.

Really??? I remember hearing people complain about the estus system and lack of a safe hub when Dark Souls was new. I agree though, that the system changes I mentioned were for the better, and that was supposed to be my point.
