Huh? When was he ever a pain in the ass? If you walk in the area below him he aggros you and starts shooting, if not he won’t aggro till you get to that little hallway beside him.
He didn’t shoot at me at all when I got to the hallway or anything in fact he came to me swinging I’ve never seen that ever. That was just one simple example, I’m already at Sen’s Fortress and still finding things easier. Mind you this is my third character so I already know what to expect and have never found the game absurdly hard it just seems like there’s less BS now. I could just be imagining things though…

So I came across this nice pvp backstab tutorial, very well-done for his first video, uses a lot of fighting game terms as well. Anyone new to pvp should give this a watch
My current build I’m working on is going to be based on Vega, Rolling Crystal Flash all day.
you’ll probably end up beating some newbs and getting owned by people who know what they are doing. reminiscent of vegas status in street fighter actually LOLOL.

Oh yeah no doubt. I have no confidence in this build.
But that’s what’s good about this game, the variety, ease of creating builds, and let’s face it, it doesn’t take long to get a character from 1-120. XD
I’m on my first play through, never really played demon souls, the games pretty rough, freaking capra demon + 2 dogs is raping me. Gargoyles were pretty rough too until I summoned the guy to help me. I think part of the problem is I’m going cleric with a bunch of faith but it’s hard to lightning lance people when they’re all up in your business.
Lightning spear and most magic isn’t really all that viable for pvp…the only real use I got out of lightning spear on my faith character was boss fights, in which it’s very useful and damaging.
This really sucks. My ps3s Blu ray drive is fucked, so it always took a whole bunch of resets to get the game to start. Now after the patch I want to play and it won’t read the disc at all. I couldn’t play MW3 either but I can play skyrim perfectly fine. So confusing.
The Capra Demon is pretty much all about not getting destroyed right when you enter and then it’s pretty gravy. Very poorly designed boss fight.
Yeah that seems to be the problem, I can’t get stabilized, I spend the first thirty seconds trying not to die instead of actually fighting, and then a stupid dog hits me or something and I get wrecked.
It’s best to wear light armor and as soon as you get in the fog door, make a beeline for the stairs and take out the dogs one by one. After that, Capra becomes much easier. Don’t bother casting spells vs dogs as they are pretty fast and will interrupt you.
Yeah, I went out and replaced my mace with the sword that scales with faith, it hits slightly less hard(it’s only +1, my mace was +4) but it’ll be better in the long run and it attacks MUCH faster. I also upgraded a bunch of my armor to +5ish. Killing that big black dragon was real easy with lightning spear.
What’s so good about the Estoc guys? Does it increase critical damage like in Demon’s Souls? I see a lot of people using it.
I think it has the longest range of all the rapiers as well as most damage.
Started a new file, playing in 1.05 for a bit.
They changed more than I thought…
It’s too easy now =(
I was grinding for twinklings pre-1.05 and could barely find any, now almost every clam I slaughter drops one. Literally, about 75% of the time by the dragon god they drop.
I don’t mind if grinding is easier, however is the game itself easier?
Just re-roll as a sorc, don’t recall going through the game so easily. But before I stopped, I was on NG++ so maybe I just know it that well? I dunno…
I played a priest that put all my points into dex because I decided to use bows instead.
The game itself is only easier because things are more accessible. Some ore is now available from vendors (for reasonable prices), Absolution costs a fraction of what it did before, etc.
The game is still great. Just more… accessible to newcomers, I guess.
Oh yeah, is it possible to first person aim bows or spells?
i think bows yes, in the form of the crosshair view i forget how it’s done though because i havent used bows much. spells no.
also you guys are hilarious about this game seems easier stuff. i mean if you are on NG++ and you start a new game you really expect the game to be just as hard and dieing as much as when you first put the disc in? let’s be real here. it would be like me starting a new game after doing NG++++ and putting 130 hours into a character and being puzzled as to why the game is easier?..
also, have you guys ever fought the gaping dragon boss with a channeler on the 3rd floor shooting soul arrows at you the whole time? i have never seen that before until the last time i fought him, maybe it was because there were 3 of us taking the boss on?
