crazy shit a couple of days ago, i was pvping and got up to 1.6 million souls before i died HAHAH. then yesterday i killed one dude who was worth 800k.
so yesterday someone LITERALLY hit a backstab from the front…i was literally walking straight back and the dude was walking forward towards me not even side stepping…what? is that lag or wtf.
i maxed out my intelligence to 99, and it’s very apparent that a magic build is pretty weak in pvping, even the SLOWEST roll can dodge any projectile you throw out and recover fast enough to dodge 2 consecutive ones. you have to get really creative with magic. for example i cast poison miss and hide it in then throw out a crystal soul mass to try to mask the visual cue of casting. however if you are good (and at level 190 people are good) you will dodge based on noise. combustion is the best magic imo, but your spacing has to be on point for you not to eat damage. overall there is less room for error as a magic build in pvp.
other things that are interesting. the weapon shotel negates shields. so basically shields cant block them. this sounds tight BUT if you are fighting someone who’s poise is amazing/heavy armor, they will take the damage and eat you up with whatever weapon they are using. maybe if you have amazing poise and went in with a shotel it might be different story but i havent tested this yet.
Dual Wield the Shotel in one hand and Fire Iiato/Lightning Uchi…most shield users freak when they get hit with the Shotel and then set on fire or electrocuted.
Finally got my 1000/1000 on the achievements…6 hours of farming the Duke’s Archives for the Channeler’s Trident last night:bluu: , got it on my second try this morning.
Four Kings was nightmarish at 1st on NG+…but you do generally have enough room to get away from them for a heal. If they get you with the grab move, you’ll have enough time to down 2 Estus flask after they drop you and before they attack again. If you move around behind them, you can avoid alot of their swings because they like to start high and go low when you’re close. I had to tank fight them though: Lautrec’s Ring, Havel’s Armor, Iron Flesh(which is still fairly useful after the update) and Lightning Murakamo+5(293 damage 293 Lightning Damage) did the trick…you do get more chances to get away and use magic compared to other bosses, but I did a Vitality/Endurance/Dex combo so I’m not much a magic user.
I should mention I had my Vitality at 50 and Endurance at 40…with Lautrec’s ring I had 1800 health and one whack took a 3rd of my health and I went thru 18 of 20 Flasks.
It’s not pleasant by any means, but I used a shortcut to get to the boss fight. If you know the layout of the drained New Londo ruins, you can jump off the first platform to the right of where the first 2 Ghosts show up and sprint straight to the boss doorway while the Darkwraiths slow down and do their shield thingy.
Seems like they adjusted a bunch of stuff though…Siegmeyer NG+owned the demons in Izalith instead of dying in one hit on my first run. Even on NG++ I’ve been seeing alot of summon signs around, haven’t had any failed summons since the patch.
Yeah, I was worried about the Siegmeyer sub-quest in NG+, since he has to live through the last encounter with 50%+ HP for me to get the extra Titanite Slab.
I guess I’ll just try to do everything short of getting the Lordvessel before getting it, then going straight to fight the Four Kings.
Be careful though, if you’re going for Knight’s Honor, use the Dark Souls wiki because lot of lists use the guidebook and the Knight’s Honor/Prayer of the Maiden items are incorrect. I was on the verge of handing the Lordvessel to Frampt on NG++ when I looked at the wiki guide and realized one of the two weapons I was missing I could only get by joining the DarkWraith Covy. I was literally 20 steps from Frampt and condemning myself to a 4th playthrough for one single item. Prayer of the Maiden was off by one spell, Knight’s Honor left out almost 10 weapons from the guide list I saw(Titanite Catch Pole is listed and you don’t need it-I spent 3 playthroughs trying to get a Prowler Demon to drop one before I just looked it up)
Does “black cosplayers” mean black people cosplaying as anime/video game characters?
Or does it mean people cosplaying as black people?
Cause I’ve seen tons of the latter.
When does Rhea die? I thought I could just wander around a bunch and come back to see her out, but it’s not happening.
I’m about to face Ol’ Cinder and I want to get all my NG+ preparations done before I get there…so like I’m going around killing all the NPCs and such. Is it better to wait until Petrus gets her, or should I just do it first and kill them both? I heard she might drop more humanity if Petrus does it, but I honestly don’t know how true that is.
After taking a month off of the game, due to my buy schedule, I am playing again.
After, the 1.05 installed, of course.
I left off at the Four Kings.
No way in hell are they tops in hardness.
I did it easily running light armor - i.e. nerf-patched Gold-Hemmed Black.
The key to them is getting close.
If you think you are close enough, get closer.
If you’re in their teeth, then they cannot do shit to you with their swords. They’ll just end up doing what is tantamount to chip damage, as you wail away at their lifebars, two-handed. Sure, they have that grab, but that’s what roll is for. As long as you sprint up to them after a couple of whacks, they’ll not get a clean hit in on you, and you’ll take them out with ease. Always roll the fuck away from the death-blast fallout, naturally.
