I like how you were counterpicking each other just with team order.
By the way, what do you think of the Morrigan matchup for Firebrand?

Eh, it’s not the best. I actually try not to make Firebrand fight Morrigan if I can. But with the way my team is set up, I’m 100% okay with letting Firebrand die to an Astral Vision or two, and then letting Dormammu come out with a lot of meter and Morrigan having none. Other times I just stall until I can build two meters, doing as much damage as I can while taking as little as I can so that I can DHC into Stalking Flare.
As far as the specific Firebrand vs Morrigan match-up, I don’t think it is a very bad match for Firebrand until you start adding in assists. Vajra and Jam Session make it a lot tougher of a battle.
If you come in against a Morrigan with 5 bars vs Firebrand, then you’re probably going to lose. But if you can get good at it, Firebrand is amazing at dodging soul fists and missiles. He just doesn’t have the health to stick through a lot of it though.
Wall cling and well placed fireballs are your best tools though
Does the matchup get easier if you can get in Morrigan’s face or is it best to just have someone else try their luck against her?
The problem with Morrigan is that all of her aerials are really good. j.S is just as fast as Firebrand’s j.L and beats all of your normals (And occasionally, Bon Voyage). Soul Fists thrown in front of her at normal jump height really limits Firebrand’s options up close.
Your best bet it to try and be on top of her when she is at normal jump height, and at any other time, be as far away as you can.
The hardest part of this match-up that is required to make it even playable is being able to use your command dives and Bon Voyage to maneuver around Soul Fists, and using grounded or normal jump Hell Spitfire Ls to negate soul fists to make it possible for you to move around. You have to recognize what kinds of patterns teh Morrigan is using and how you can approach while negating/avoiding them.
I think it’s a 6-4 in Morrigan’s favor most of the time. With Morrigan’s safe style, it’s hard to get a Bon Voyage on her and she’s not going to be grounded very often for you to mix her up, so your whole goal is to get above her and mix her up left/right, or to play the fireball game until you can switch to the next character. I try not to have Firebrand fight Morrigan though. Her 950k health is hard for Firebrand to kill. The ONLY thing that Firebrand has over Morrigan is mobility, and you better be good at it to fight her.
My last note on this:
Learning angles and patterns is the most important thing. As a good example of this, scroll up an watch my video vs Konfucious again. Notice how I Bon Voyage between soul fists, throw out Fireballs to negate Soul Fists so I can get a grab, and how I consistently mix up whether I wall cling at SJ height or if I SJ and then Hell’s Dive L right back to the ground.
Mindgames.
My 22nd birthday was on Wednesday and I went to the weekly tournament and won.

http://www.twitch.tv/tierlessheroes is the stream link right? Dunno why I haven’t been following it earlier.
Good matches but damn if that wasn’t some of the worst commentary.
Yeah, the commentary is normally terrible but Kresent and Will Richards are always good to watch.
Our venue has no internet. They just archive them.
Oh, well that’s a shame.
Kresent, watched your most recent matches on YouTube. Don’t get rid of Dormammu for Ammy. Even if it makes the unblockable setups shaky, the way ‘you’ play the zoning game is good.
You seemed to be missing a fair few air dash inputs.
Oh, and I have been stuck between choosing Firebrand/Dormammu/Shuma and Vergil/Dormammu/Shuma. After watch Angelic in BrokenTier’s Danger Room stream. I’m going back to Firegang.
I much prefer Firebrand neutrally, but Vergil is just cheaper and let’s Dormammu get more of his throws.
However, I guess I’ll sacrifice the mid screen ground throw option. If anyone knows how to use Firebrand for a ground throw pickup with Dormammu, I would appreciate the info.
I think I’m in need of a new controller. I’ve been noticing my missed inputs too and it started with this controller.
I’ll defiNitely still play Dormammu but the other top players in nc play Nova/Strangr/Spencer and Vergil/Hawkeye/Strange so it’s really hard to play Dormammu vs them.
Stick with Ammy! Aside from her crucial part in allowing FB unblockables from anywhere on the map and general high-low-left-right mixup craziness (which I never do because she SHOULD be loaded for resets at all times) she is a phenomenal anchor at lvl3. Fullscreen shuffle xfactor cancel TOD confirms for those one v. one deathmatches, ridiculous frame advantage on more or less her entire moveset, counters, sashes, infinates, the whole kit and kaboodle! Plus if your saying you are worried about matchups against said teams, I feel ammy’s tools are much more well suited against those selections than Dorm.
Oh and to confirm w. dorm (not at home but in theory this should work because I run it w/ viper[sismo]) after you toss send the pillar immediately when he drops the opponent, land and quickly do a j.dH right at the peak of the beam. Should get the ground bounce no worries and then followup with a [shorter] combo of your choosing. Keep in mind the HSD added by his throw resets seems rise more drastically than others, or who knows maybe it is just his combos, but I would greatly suggest taking them for a double scoop solo reset as opposed to optimal damage in that scenario.
Is that a Solo ground pickup? I don’t understand what I’m reading. lol.
Airgrab -> (A1 Pillar) -> [land] -> J.8H -> yada yada
More or less, after the grab quickly press (otg assist) then instant air d.H to get the bounce. No fuss, no mess, less strict timing than the solo otg but using the assist adds unnecessary HSD with multi-hitting otg assist. Realistically you can do non-launch jump loops out of this as well but with FB I’ve found the most optimal damage is literally using only H/S attacks. Upto you, everybody’s play style and I hope this helps.
But I said Ground Throw on more than a few occasions.
I can do his Solo Air Throw conversions and if I’m lazy I just call Shuma. However, with a Ground Throw all I have is Purification xx Chaotic Flame.
Previously, I would do Ground Throw, Dash, call Vergil, Flame Carpet, L Teleport, Jump Loop into Chaotic Flame.
Wait, are you asking for advise for Dorm?
Dormmamu forums?
Hey guys, NC had a huge dungeon session last night. There is a lot of footage of me on here.
At the beginning, I am playing Sneak, a Greensboro Wesker/Magneto/Doom player.
I start playing Will Richards at 35:45-1:26:43.
It’s a little tight but not very hard. I have a youtube video on it if you’d like
