Daemon Bride 2on2 Tourney by Alpha-Station, from like 6 days ago… seems that it was somewhat popular because there is another tourney coming 20 of this month.
I haven’t read any news or tournaments of this game like… 10 months ago, i totally lost the hope for a console release and its pretty clear that Examu wants to erase Daemon Bride as it was never released so… whatever.
What exactly made Daemon Bride so unpopular?

from what i heard, the heavily run away nature of the game, that the matches take too long and that it wasnt well balanced, dunno how unbalanced is btw, also, the fact that people were more hyped about sf4, BB and MB, plus when examu announced AH3 and the lack of DB at the SBO that killed the moderate interest of the people

I don’t understand this part at all. Every character is a threat at nearly every range and every position. The game is centered around projectile combat. This has to be the least run-away-y fighter I’ve ever seen. How do you run away? Or is there a character or group of characters that are able to create a pattern of projectiles and/or grazing to form a legit and frustrating run away game?
anyways, it doesn’t matter. no console release, etc

im only posting what i read, i actually have the same opinion, the game allows the chars to be played as run away or rush down or zonners, aparently the concensus was that the mechanics and the way that the game works favors more the run away tactics than the others

Yeah, I thought it was weird at first that the game gave you more meter as the rounds progressed. It doesn’t really detract from the game though. I would still love to play this.
I like how Arcana is much more rushdown oriented now. The fact that Daemon Bride is not(necessarily), makes it more enjoyable for me, even though it has many similarities to Arcana.
