seeing that examu already released the AH3 Ost, im more convinced that we wouldnt see anything related to DB
Pretty much.
Here’s hoping that lack of arcade release helps put the nails in the coffin quicker. Wish that stupid game would hurry and die already.
I honestly don’t see me playing DB without some sort of port being made. Even import would suffice.
This. Minus the part about not watching videos.
If a cart ever comes up cheap, I want to snag one for my ex-board. Anyone have access to shipping/purchasing from y!aj?
If it dies then what? Will the japanese go back to ST, HF and SFA2? Will 3S gain more popularity? I doubt it. Its place in the charts will be replaced with yet another new-school 2D.(remember the chart is before counting AH3)
It’s pretty sad that you want the sole representative of old school 2D to die.(sorry but 3S doesn’t count as old school 2D for me)
i hate this “old school” ideology, is because this stupid non sense that the new games are ignored, and its not only in the FG community, in all things in general, its like the people who really believes that metallica is the best shit ever, and ignore the new bands that have a lot to offer, and sometime much better, only because is not metallica, the “old school” feeling of sf was because hardware limitations on that time, of course im not saying that sf2 is bad for that on the contrary, but im really dissapointed on how capcom is affraid to evolve their franchise because people are only interested in the nostalgia, sf4 is a back step, even when i dislike 3s at least they really tried to evolve the franchise, but with sf4 its so obvious how they appealed only to the nostalgia;, they didnt tried at least to make some little innovation, no they took mechanics from other games, and the worst part is that they didnt did it well, but the worst part is that they brainwashed a lot of people to believe that its actually a good game
tataki, I really believe just about every new game on the market now would be much better taking SF4’s place; Demon Bride and AHF3 included. And I think you give that damned game too much credit, too. Its not “old school”; its unoriginal, lazy and marketed pretty directly to the shallow, mainstream newcomers with a passing glance at the more experienced player base. It rides almost completely on namebrand/nostalgia with no merits of value to bring of its own.
I know I have no say in this matter but I must say I fully agree with this concept. Sf4 done its job by reintroducing fighting game to the masses, but the problem with our culture is that Sf4 is given to much credit for what it is. If Im correct developer quoted that Sf4 was supposed to be the long awaited sequel that SF fans has been waiting for and reintroduction of fighting game genre, which I feel is done poorly from my perception.
SF4 is outshining other games simply for this nostalgic reason that seems to influence people to think its reliving the old days, which is consider the best time for fighting games. If this is so than I am glad to have not know this nostalgic feeling and the era it reign. Because I detest how sf4 is designed and if game at that time were designed the same than I would hate them too.
This game should not be the leading icon for fighters or the sf series at a whole. All great icons have a start and end of legacy. SF legacy was with sf2 polishing fighting game mechanics and maybe even sf3s for its come back moment. But SF series fails to evolve from its predecessor or competitor by evolving the series.
pffft, the only reason why sf4 is “reintroducing fighting game to the masses” is because the masses only care for sf, they dont care if the game is good or not, if it has sf at the tittle they would buy it, as sf4 proved
SF4 is outshining what, exactly? As far as new fighters go, Tekken 6 is doing a lot better (in Arcades at least).
they should just release this on ps3 and be done with it for god sakes
SF4 sucks
Blazblue sucks
Tekken 6 online sucks
VF5R, Daemon, Arcana, GvG has no ports
Battle Fantasia has no players
Tatsunoko is on the Wii
SCIV isn’t SC1/2
Bitching about new games: complete. :cybot:
Now, how about we get back on topic - not posting about a game we can’t play.
I don’t think he wants the SF series to die. I just think he wants Capcom to realise how horrid their game is and thus make a much better game next time. Same way I want BB to die so that Arc realise that they won’t survive with BB now being their flagship title…because the way things are going, what seemed like a ‘fighting game resurrection’ with this surge of shit new games was simply the candle flame flickering before it went out.
I can play it. But between BB:CS, MBAA and S!AH2, I really don’t feel like sinking time into the game especially when sitting down at the machine is pretty much VS CPU training mode. Very few people want to play it. At least with anyone who’s any good. There’s a ton a scrubs and mashers. I assume because they can’t hack it at the other machines. And now with BB:CS out BB:CT is getting a good amount of play from the casual crowd. Lol. There’s a couple of people who don’t mind playing but most of them are not down frequently. And really TBH, I’d rather just have AH3 at this point.
Examu/AMI must have given the arcade a good deal on ex-boards and the game because we have 4 DB machines. Lol.
Forgive me I should had specify by the majority of player’s I came across, and of course by the majority I mean most gaming cultural in the west region.
I coulda sworn a soundtrack for Daemon Bride was released. Maybe I’m thinking of the 2 character song albums that came out.
If a soundtrack ever does get released, I’m all over that.
nechromancy
so there arent anything new about this game?
i guess that i have to give up my hopes on a console release + the release of the soundtrack
Like a patch? No?
How people play it now, yes.
Oh yeah… still waiting on that OST…
Still waiting… fuck… is… cheese… something…
I WANT THE GODDAMN OST, HOLY SHIT!!
I thought someone had uploaded it already?
Or am I thinking of the AH3 soundtrack?
you are thinking on the ah3 ost
