That was an amazing match. 5-1 then 6-2 Daigo then 8-10 Sako. Talk about back and forth.
I watched this on my bigscreen tv from my relaxing couch. Good way to spend a sunday afternoon. And much more exiting than watching a lot of mainstream sports I have to say.
see, that was why i said we shouldn’t take that meaningless set serious because it doesn’t really count.(just like last game of the season in other sports) and first to 10 is different than first to 3. sako is probably going to take this tournament now.

Did it only work when she was at the peak of her jump or could you do it any time after you pressed up forward?
At the peak of her jump. No low strikes at all and I really tried like 10 times in a row and then got KO’d ;p Oh well it was a lokeTEST so there is still hope…

I believe strikes at her peak doesn’t even give her frame advantage and easily gets punished by dps… Indeed lets hope it is just a test…
I was 100% sure that I was not able to do TK strikes and low strikes (after peak) after a forward jump at all. And I haven’t seen any Japanese did it either. There were quite a lot ppl who picked Cammy and got frustrated lol xD
Shout outs to sako beating a dp happy ryu… I didnt think sako will pull through and win given he was down 5-0… Daigo stuck with the same predictable pattern and got downloaded…Can’t see any other player really beating sako to a first to 10 except mago. Fei gives cammy alittle more trouble than a fireball spacing ryu
it wasnt an easy win, sako struggled through the set (not the last match tho

things to think about:
he can ultra through EX haduken at SWEEP range but he cant punish corner escape tatsu???..
he kept throwing Daigo OUT of the corner just to setup that ambiguous crossup strike… (backthrow)… then its a another trip to the far corner if he fails the setup…?
You really should send him your vid lol, Daigo did it so many times, but Sako really had NO idea how to punish it. He tried to dash a couple of time, SA, neutral jump hk but nothing worked.
Those fb punishes were amazing though. Daigo couldn’t fb like the previous set. But still Sako really ate a lot of fbs… I believe there was round where Daigo had full bar and threw like 4 ex fbs and Sako ate all of them…
I lol’d when Sako ate double EX FBs in the corner during one of the early Daigo rapages.
what is the punish for corner escape tatsu, I was as frustrated as he was watching that fly?
it’s not that easy to punish corner escape tatus unless you are looking for it. I think i was able to do it two time against 100 Ryu online. Daigo threw 200 fireball and he was only punish it with ultra/super maybe 5 times?
don’t be surprise that we can’t punish it too against Daigo in real match.
Sako punished it also quite a lot times with ex sa. The second half of the match Daigo was really careful with throwing fireballs. This led to a few staredowns lol. They just stood there without holding (down)back a few time for a few secs.
The-Olympian posted a funny vid where he shows how you can punish air tatsu with ultra, but I don’t know if it is possible to do that on reaction?
oh C’mon the dude=sako can ultra through ex fb at close range (inside sweep range?) yet he cant ultra escape tatsu??

i don’t think he can ultra through ex fb on reaction. I think that one time, it was just a guess. If he can he wouldn’t be eating so many ex fb and ultra through them all the time.
He was actually waiting for fireballs. That’s why Cammy was sitting while I think he was buffering :d::df::d::df::d::df::d::df::d::df::d::df: and did :qcf::3k: when he saw Ryu launching a fireball.

Agreed about the frame advantage issue. Maybe they’ve added more hitstun. Otherwise… she’ll have to cannonstrike after the descent of her jumparc, which gives her opponent all the time in the world to react. I don’t think they’re that stupid. At least I hope not.
