the last two games were very close. Just one or two mistake lost him both games. I wouldn’t say it doesn’t work.
yeah, 1:11 is probably a fail tk strike. lately it happen to me alot for some reason. it wasn’t like that before. most of time it was during a combo too. like ex tk strike, then tk strike and my CS comes out.
that set is meaningless because both players already advanced at that point. we will see what happen in first to 10. I hope Sako doesn’t win this tournament, we don’t need more cammy nerf.
The set was meaningless from a qualifying point of view. That made me think. Tournament play is different from regular, single matches. You don’t want to give everything away at once. I think these pros are good and experienced enough to think not only one move ahead, but even weeks/matches ahead in the tournament.
I used to play competitive (amateur) golf. In the morning we would do foursomes (2 vs. 2) and singles (1 vs. 1) in the afternoon. My playstyle in the morning was usually way more conservative than in the afternoon. Once my partner and I tied a team in the morning and I played agianst the best of the two in the afternoon. It was matchplay so I played like a maniac. I used my driver off of every tee even though I didn’t do that once in the morning. I lost quite a few holes but won more. My opponent just couldn’t handle the fact that the simple predictable guy he was playing in the morning turned into a longdriving idiot that still made his puts.
I think Sako was trying to figure out what he could do with only his standard repertoire and trying to figure out and remember all of Daigo’s responses. If they ever meet later in the tournament my guess is Sako will play differently. Daigo probably will too. It will be interesting to see who has prepared the best and who can adept the quickest in a first to 10.
All in all looks pretty solid to my untrained eye. I see some nice BnB combo’s. Nice finish against Bison. Gotta love that EXTKCS spam. Once you get in you seem to be able to wreck shop. Getting there is sometimes a problem I see.
Looks like your playstyle is greatly influenced by your opponent. From what I gather good players all seem to dictate the match with whatever playstyle they choose. You seem to give yourself little breathingroom.
Other than that I can’t really comment on the gameplay. I do have a pratical tip for recording from a widescreen tv with a 4:3 camera though. I set my ps3 to 576i (4:3) when I record my matches. That way I can record fullscreen. After recording I reset my tv to 1080p to play. I don’t know if the XBOX 360 has the same option, but it makes for better quality video.
I played this one on 16:9 and recorded it with 4:3:

Oh, and please don’t comment on my gameplay. I totally suck with Ballrog. It’s just as an example of 16:9 gameplay and 4:3 recording.
AMAZING CAMMY! you owned that fei long damn fei is broken. see when i was thinking about Option Select to punish elf ex escape dp. because they use it on wakeup to escape so often.
crouch lk, standing lk Option Selecting lk Spike. you commented on that one i remember. or lowered mk Strike Option Select hk Spike. they will come out the other way if he ex escape dp to punish. :annoy:
this one ken is scary woah! other matches i have no idea i didnt play any good ones to pass good information.
i’m down, send me a message on xbox and we can meet up some time. just a warning though my playtime right now is pretty low right now, between work and job hunting for better work haha
i agree on meterless bison, but remember that he shouldnt use TKCS OS Ultra is not free. :nono:
he can still escape with stomp-head :annoy:
on meterless to strike OS ultra you must jump early meaty hk strike. this beats stomp-head escape if he tries and covers every reversal scenario, of course this only on meterless bison. :badboy:
Good call. It took me a minute to get outta the habit of doin that. A few of those times it was just by habit. After the camera died I started doin OS DP on it, as it is safer.
the simple fact is that option selecting against bison’s escape options allways carries some risk for you. however understand that bison is having to work through the EXACT same mind-games of “this escape loses to this option select etc. etc.” so i think saying “don’t use this os because it loses to this” is a flawed mentality, use the option selects to shut down either A) the escapes your opponent likes most until he adapts. or B) use the option selects to guard against the escapes that you feel give you the most problems.
