really? i allways assumed it didn’t work cause i never got it to hit, what situations can you stuff ex crusher with an option selected ultra?
i though ultra doesn’t work on ex psycho crusher either. i also tried to block wake up ex psycho and punish it with ultra. but they can block it.
It’s really weird spacing for it to work, but I have ultra’d a blocked EX Psycho. I just have no idea what the actual spacing is, it’s more of a feel thing, as dumb that sounds.
I’m guessing it depends on how late the other person does EX Psycho Crusher, I’m not very sure. But I did j.hk OS Ultra on Bison’s wake-up, and tagged him when he tried EX PC. I had a replay of it but I deleted it to make room for other replays, d’oh! Sorry for the late reply btw.
As for Ultraing a blocked Psycho Crusher, yeah, you probably can. Did it all the time with Viper, could be reversal timing?
I play frequently with a friend who reliably does EX psycho crusher on wakeup if he has meter. In spite of his complete predictability, it’s hard to punish. I played around in training mode and found that if you block it point blank, or whiff crossup, or whiff hooligan, you can’t do anything. If you block it from about lk. spiral arrow range, you can reversal ultra (in the opposite direction of course). But good luck getting someone to wakeup EX crusher you when you’re at that range.
OK, for that safe jump OS ultra in the first video at about 2:40, I clearly don’t understand something about ultra inputs. After the throw, your inputs are (bottom to top, like in videos):

So how does this give you an ultra? Is there some shortcut I’m unaware of?
I have no clue lol, I was doing a regular qcfx2 motion before I did the jump-in.
You can punish EX Psycho with an Ultra. You have to do it immediately, Reversal timing pretty much. But if you are right next to Bison and he EX Psycho Crushers through you, just immediately Ultra and you will catch him.

I take back what I said earlier, this is correct. You can punish EX psycho after block with ultra from point blank back to about 3/4ths of its total range with reversal timing. I guess I was thinking of spiral arrow or super earlier; if you do super with reversal timing, you’ll just one hit him out of the air unless you’re about half a screen away. SA will be blocked unless you’re about 3/4ths of the way back from its range, so don’t try to punish with that. Basically, ultra is the only reliable punish.

mk and hk varies on the character
and it’s no longer the Stein/Spectrum setup, it’s just another Sako setup

yeah Stein… u know even the alleged “Sako” combo… first time i’ve seen this combo was when you posted matches against Shizza and it was waaaaaaaaay back in vanilla…
when people around here used to call sako “CrazyCammy”. only videos were available of him against Desora (Gouken)

You forget. When I did the Sako combo it’s looked down on, too much difficulty for the damage. But when sako does it… OMGOMGOMGOGMOMGOMGOMGOMG

which combo are you guys talking about? the mp, c.Hp, c.mk, SA? i think you guys already doing that combo before sako shows up.
Yeah, people were talking about that combo waaaaaaaaaaay back in regular SF4 before people knew about Sako’s Cammy. Same with cr.hp>st.mp>SA too. DjB13 also displayed cross-up strikes a while back in regular SF4 too, in his tutorial.
