That’s fuckin sick bein able to do that shit raw, props dude
Thanks! Still need to work on loads of stuff though.
I can plink on a dualshock. You just need to roll your thumb over two buttons. Guess it won’t work for shoulder buttons, though.
^
Really? Sweet, thanks, I’m gonna give that a try.

Enjoy the show those are by yours truly.
I have my light attacks on the right shoulder buttons, so plinking seems easier (almost hitting your thumb (Strong) and index finger (Jab) with my right hand at the same time.).
I can get it down in training and see the plink happen on the input data but, like everything else, a match is a completely different story… I’ll get there eventually.
Yeah, it was a Bison-exclusive combo in vanilla. I have that in my old vanilla cammy combo video.
How are you guys finding Sako’s replays? As far as I know, there’s no way to watch replays by rank like with vanilla, and there’s no search or sorting either.
About the recent Godsgarden… have those matches been youtube’d? Sadly, I wasn’t able to watch the stream, and I can’t view the archived video either.

i think people just steal the video from Nico Nico post by Japanese players.
Disagree with Sako letting Tokido get away with anything. I think a lot of the stuff you are thinking he “let” him get away with was him not wanting to get baited. For Example, he blocked a lot of j. RH on wakeup from tokido. Why? CSpike is a pretty hard move to safe jump and most of the j. RH were done pretty early on wake-up. Because he was watching out for tatsu which if done at that height beats CSpike. He did the same for some j. MK’s, but after tokido got in the habit he became a little more liberal with reversal Cspike.
Other than that I can’t possibly see what he “let” him get away with. He got out of the fireball crossup all but one time with FADC. That match is pretty textbook on what you should do to akuma imo. He played right outside footsie range and made sure he didn’t let akuma do anything without risking some sort of retaliation. His spacing in particularly was insane, especially in the early matches. Later matches seemed a bit more frantic, but Sako already got in Tokido’s head so worked out in his favor.
honestly sako got away with more shenanigans than tokido.

i got mind fucked by a good Dudley. I have no chance. What can i do to counter him?
This isn’t the Cammy critique thread, but I’ll bite:
- You do tons of unsafe CSpikes, stop doing that. 90% of the time I see you mashing it too. While you’re at it, stop doing random ultras and random jumping everywhere.
- FA all day. FA is one of Cammy’s tools, but you were using it way too much and this Dudley obviously knew his armor breaking moves.
Ok so against Dudley, I’m sure you would have done much much better had you properly spaced yourself and played a footsies game instead of random jumping everywhere and random CSpikes. All of Dudley’s non EX specials can be stuffed with a normal, preferably one of your pokes like cr.MK, st.MK, and st.HK.
Actual good Dudleys will attempt to poke back with f+HP, and his roundhouse thing where like grabs your feet or something. cr.MK should stuff f+HP no problem, and if you optionselect/buffer HSA, that’s a free knockdown to begin pressuring. Dudley is actually fairly free on wakeup. His jet upper actually doesn’t have any invincibility frames, only his EX does.
But yeah anyways. You didn’t lose because you don’t know the Dudley matchup. You lost because you have a very poor foundation of fundamentals. (eg: I didn’t see any footsies, you did random unsafe stuff every 3 seconds, you did point blank FA’s every 5 seconds, you don’t option select, you don’t crouch tech, you mash all the time, etc.)
I think the biggest thing here is that you just didn’t seem to adapt too well. It’s cool to unsafe CSpike a lot if your opponent is really good at getting hit by them and/or not punishing them appropriately… Otherwise try saving it at a surprise. When you get pressured by a wakeup game, you should put a lot more variety in your game, like blocking, crouch tech, backdash-- that way you don’t appear as readable to your opponent.
I used to Focus Attack a shit ton, finally worked it out of my game, but if you see that it’s not working, you really gotta make it a top priority to tell yourself to quit doing it, otherwise it’s a completely free combo for your opponent which killed a lot of your health bar for a lot of your matches.
When you do get a knockdown, try mixing it up some more throws, lows, tick throws, baits, cross-ups, fake cross-ups, whatever you want! You want to have your opponent play your game, manipulate the mental environment to your liking.
You also can take a breather whenever you guys are at neutral distances with each other. Always rushing down when you don’t have a knockdown makes it easier to read your game.
Also, I like what you’re doing with your Cannon Strikes, but when you’re doing a CS on someone’s wakeup, you gotta use it as a meaty (earlier) if you find yourself getting jabbed out of it on his wakeup. Try working on Cammy’s big damage combos like cr.hp cr.mk HSA, those can really change the game as well.
Specifically on Dudley, s.HK poking will keep Dudley out all day as long as you aren’t predictable with it. Mix it up with the safe s.MK and cr.MK. When you do get your rushdown, you can put on the Cammy dildo and rape all day because he has no backlash options other from EX Upper. If you know he’s going to throw that out and you bait it, free Ultra just for you.
Hopefully that helped.
You SA and jump too much. At least, do more Cannon Strikes, your normals in the air are useless and your opponent can easily punish you if you do them too late.
I use C. Spike a lot too, I understand why you do that, but don’t C.Spike at each wakeup.
Eileithyia - a bit flow charty and lack of footsies. Gotta work on the footsies.
ok, they are no help at all. I’m asking how to fighting Dudley. i do random cs because i don’t know how to approach him. the only parts that help is s.HK. i can do all the combos. it’s just i failed to do them in those vids.
Just tell me how you guys approach Dudley. it will help alot more.
I think you’re having selective reading problems, then.
Funny thing about Dudley is that most good players use his normals and setup frame traps, but Dudley himself have difficult time dealing with meaties himself. The only safe reversal for Dudley is EX Jet Upper FADC, it costs him 3 bars to be safe.
st.far.lp – this move pretty much shutdown many Dudley’s moves (LOL, you can out jab a Dudley with this move)
cr.mk – use this move to fish for his rush down moves, if hit, you can follow up with hk SA for a good 3 hit combo
st.far.hk – use this move to stop his jump ins or jump aways… but be careful, this move can be easily focused
standard Cammy c.strike shenanigans works well against Dudley, just watch out for his counter move and jet uppers both can be easily baited by varying your c.strike distance/strength.
IMHO, Dudley vs Cammy is slightly in Cammy’s favor because Dudley has no reversal unless metered.
ok, good. those help alot more. i have a hard time reading Dudley moves. not sure which does want.
i will try them out if i see other good Dudley.
Just sit there and block until you figure your shit out. Or better yet at least make an attempt to space and play footsies. Every see top players moving back and forth at mid screen? That’s what you should be doing. Not randomly jumping and spamming CSpike.
