Id like to request an AV with team ducdo, nothin too fancy, please and thank yous
if you need sprite ill post some
Yeah im gonna need the sprites for it man
Iighty Ill get on that
I was wondering if I could get an Oswald (kof XI) av like the makoto, urien, etc. ones are done?
I had requested this in Shatter’s but it got removed and I don’t think he ever saw the reply before it got removed by server reset so hopefully there’s no confliction with that.
Anyways what I’d like is an avatar with an illustration by either Ralph Steadman or Stephane Tartelin - something rough though since some of Tartelins are more cartoony than others.
Here’s some resources for you if you’re willing to do it. Animated or not just want to support the art I love
http://www.tartelin.com/
http://www.ralphsteadman.com
let me know if you’ll take the request
Worthless, ur avatars are nuts bro, you think u can make me an avatar of omega red?
Shoots man, I’d really appreicate it!
cool
yeah but it’ll be the last one for awhile.

After i make PimpC’s im going to stop making that style of av…i didn’t have any real intention to make it a widespread trend sorry
Btw PimpC i need oswald sprites for yours
**
JBMoney**,i need some sort of Omega Red stock.Unless you just want the capcom art
**
merdoc**,between the star and the sprites and the several frames its a bit for non prem
**
to those that got other avs…No problem i was away for awhile so i’ll get to those in the future
Sergio.**yeah hopefully i’ll have it done soon
OH
MY GOD
thx!!!
do you have any tutorial made by you showing how you do yhis job?
sure i’ll post up a tut in a while
i’ll wait for that…
btw my av is too heavy i can’t use it
ok…so making the blur styled avs…
**THIS WILL BE EXPLAINED ASSUMING YOU KNOW HOW TO USE THE IMAGE EDITOR GIMP…also it will be explained as though you had the image editor gimp
[]First thing you wanna do is make your canvas size (160x 100 prem,160x100 nonprem)
[]Find a color that you want as the avatars base preferably something that would match a major part of your sprite/render/stock (for example Golden_Gunman has a color scheme that matches Dudley’s pants)set it as background/foreground color. The other color in the foreground/background scheme should be white btw.
[]Now that you found this color make it the background of your avatar by New Layer>Foreground color/Background(whichever you chose)
[]Now you should have a solid colored background laid out.NOW TO ADD THE BASE!
[]If you have a render or sprite already cut out in .png format you can add it as a layer right off the bat…if it is an animated gif follow the substeps below
[]OK…so you are using a gif huh? Keep the current job you are working on open ALSO SAVE in case you accidently close it.
[]Open the gif in another window to work in.If the layers dialog isn’t open already…open the layers dialog
[]Now with all the frames ta your disposal choose the one you want to use by making every single other frame not visible and then going to Copy Visible.
[]The frame is now in the clipboard to be used in the other job…so now…
[]Click on your one frame job and then ctrl+v OMG YOU RUINED IT.
[]Not really lol relax. You should have a floating selection now.Going to the Layers Dialog and making a new layer makes it a separate Layer
[]Desaturate your layer for the black and white look.If your version is colored STILL desaturate it but Duplicate your BG frame put it above and set it from Normal to Color. If you do this merge the Color layer down with your newly added sprite/render layer

HOORAY.You have your first frame on a background…but there is still a ways to go…Merge the sprite/render/stock down into the background DON’T FORGET TO PUT THE SPRITE/RENDER IN PLAIN SIGHT BEFORE MERGING BTW.** but its ok if you mess up,you have ctrl z
[]Duplicate the layer and Use blur on the Duplicate. Not gaussian or motion…just blur.
[]Duplicate the last frame you just made(the 1st duplicate) and now motion blur it.Nothing too heavy just a slight shake.Once that is done take the Move tool and move the layer EVER SO SLIGHTLY any direction is fine.
[]**GREAT YOUR 1ST SERIES OF FRAMES ARE DONE **Repeat steps 3-8 as you see fit or as much room the size will allow.Don’t forget to make a new background for every sequence
[]Now that you have your basic animations setup time to add the text…The font i use is Base 02 btw.Just like the other animations make your background now instead of opening as a new layer or anything, simply use the Text tool and type it into the projects canvas.Don’t forget to merge the layers down!
[]Repeat the duplicating blur steps like previously at your discretion(I do 2 duplicates aside the original for sprite and text)
[]Now just do a text animation series in between each of your sprite series…
[]Almost Done…the timing for the animations…I use a time frame between 30-70 ms depending on the content. The text should be at least 40 ms.The sprite should at most be 35 NEVER MAKE THE VALUES THE SAME FOR THE SPRITE AND TEXT.
[]ALLLLMOSSST DOOOONE…Now go to your Filters tab again and optimize it for Gif format. This should open a new window.if you have in it grayscale change it to Indexed and set the colors for 20-30 depending on sprite count…if you made it in RGB still set it to Indexed…but make the color count higher as needed…Don’t forget to turn off the Dithering.
[]Save the optimized .Gif file
