They showed the previews of next week’s episode and at the end it shows a woman walking out of the vault and Damon says, “Elena?!?!?”
Marcel going to get a push while Nik turns face???
Oh yeah I’m loooking forward to that… similar to Lucien, he won’t have much to fear since Nik’s sire line was broken a while ago.
whoahhhh what happened to my honey Aurora? I think the actress went and filmed a pilot episode for some other series, if I recall…hopefully she will be back. She still has that “Super Vampire Serum” in her, right? That could be another problem they’d have to deal with later…unless it just eventually leaves their system at some point? (*like with vamp blood… I think there is a limited amount of time for a person to die with it in them for the whole transition thing to happen… )
Well, I didn’t think these deaths would be permanent but it appears they are…the show is definitely in need of some replacement hotness now. These are 2 major losses in terms of eye-candy. “D” was one of the hottest girls I’ve ever seen on television.
Oh, I get Freya’s prophecy now…
One by friend (Marcel/Hayley), one by foe (Marcel/Elisha), one by family (Marcel/Nik)
On another note, what is that monster that escaped in The Vampire Diaries…
hmmm… on Vampire— some demonic thing that “unlocks” the full evil side in any living thing? That seems to be what happened to Enzo and Damon there…now they’re out on a killing spree.
spoiler stuff even though it appears only 3 people including myself read this thread**
Originals threw quite a curveball there… I was caught off guard and thought they actually killed Marcel for a minute…and it was such a jaw-dropper moment of quality shock value. So… apparently *THAT JUICE™ *makes you even more unkillable than I previously thought. His heart was gone, man… but now he’s ok and the new God-Vampire. Holy shit and my honey Claire Holt is apparently back for the finale?!! YEAAAASSSSSSSSSS (*though sadly, because she apparently doesn’t want to keep playing Rebecca…most fans probably can figure out where this is going…and what this means
…oh but then again can they really risk that actually killing her though…? …since her sire-line is still intact…? Maybe we’ll just find out that no one major on Vampire Diaries is descended from her…but this would also eliminate Aurora though—I hear her actress was out shooting a pilot episode, so that would be a convenient way to get rid of her character as well, sadly.)
Regarding the original family, Marcel, Vincent, and everyone else in New Orleans… What’ll make it more epic is when possessed Damon and possessed Enzo rain on their parade.
Just saw the previews of TVD and TO
TVD: the 8th and final season is next month…
TO: looks like the timeline for season 4 is about 7 to 10 years after season 3…
Since it is the same world, I’m wondering if Originals will use TVD characters again in the near future, after TVD has ended…then again it wouldn’t be as great if they were unable to get the same actors though.
I was still looking at older episodes on Netflix again, during this drought of television… I still say it’s quite a shame that they wasted so many opportunities with the character Tyler Lockwood. He would’ve been an interesting new supervillain on the show, and a pure “heel turn” would make perfect sense considering all the crap he went through over the years…it would be understandable that he would finally turn on everyone, and become the new most dangerous person in town…the threat level was legitimate since he was a hybrid creature for a long time… one of the only successfully sired hybrids of the TVD/Originals universe. Actually, there’s only been 3 major characters to have that status, unless you include Nik and Hayley’s child, which I think might be a combination of all 3 (witch + vamp + wolf?!)
I’m sure any fans of the CW shows like this already know— The Lost Boys is coming this fall as a series! One thing… I hope they use those classic themes at some point in the show-- “People Are Strange” (Doors or the Echo & the Bunnymen version; I’m fine with either version), and of course-- Cry Little Sister
Yes, they down played the werewolves on TV. In the books (which came before the series) there is mention of an original werewolf. Where is he or they???
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Hayley betray him in TVD? Working with Nik but they just started fucking after it came out she was setting Tyler up?
heh, yeah… nearly everyone in the show has shitted on Tyler in some way at some point. I’m still surprised that Caroline was supposed to be a likeable, “good” character after her betrayal…like really? The audience is really supposed to be on her side there?! Nig please. She, as Tyler’s girl at the time… fucked the same guy that murdered his mom…and he understandably went off about that, and it strengthened his hatred for Nik that much more. That might’ve been the worst betrayal in the series, at least the worst that comes to mind for me.
*those scenes from past seasons in the trailer-- that was a classic “villain moment” when Kai shows up at the wedding, just appearing out of nowhere with the magic “invisique” technique…heh, I loved that. Just that 1 spell makes the heretic vamps quite a powerful threat… they can be right there without you even knowing it… I will miss this show so much.
Ohoooo----talk about overpowered shit… what if you had a heretic vamp…or let’s say a heretic HYBRID… that drank THE JUICE™ from this most recent season of Originals?! :wow: Holy shit, man…
oh and that was another badass moment I loved…when Marcel was shown swimming up from the bottom of the lake, back and stronger than ever (and really… more powerful and dangerous than anything else on the show right now. THE JUICE™ is serious shit.)
Silas was the most powerful character. He could even trick the originals and compel them. Remember that scene where he had the whole town drain their blood…
Oh, so Julian is The Rival
Yep, I noticed that recently… I don’t like the “fish fin” looking things on either side of his mask though…that looks silly…like something I’d expect from a Power Rangers villain. (*I say that as a PR fan though)
This week it’s ON… the show starts the final season. It will be interesting to see how they wrap the story up, and if they can get Dobrev back for at least the last episode.
*sidenote-- the vamps on other non-CW shows continue to be lame, btw… on The Strain, only the elite ones are worth a damn (and even they are weak in comparison to even the “average” newly-turned vamp from the CW shows.) The common vamps on SyFy’s Van Helsing are kind of pitiful too. Even a vamp “newb” like Caroline would tear most of these weaklings apart.
Well I was off by one season on both shows, but here it is… To quote one of the last episodes on Star Trek The Next Generation
“All good thing must come to…”
I’m going to really miss both of these shows… I already have some seasons of them collected on blu-ray though… so far it’s been tough to find Originals though… I keep seeing dvds but of course I want only the superior quality format for any show or movie I care enough to buy.
I don’t remember the last time I enjoyed a show so much that I watched old episodes between seasons… the overall lore and universe on these shows is too good. This is the modern thing that got vampires right, imo…unlike a certain notorious book series where they sparkle. (*I realize that the sad irony there is that this other franchise I’d rather not even name is responsible for the revitalized popularity of the TVD books, which in turn helped it become relevant enough to be made into a tv show.)
There’s not much else out there for vamp/wolf/supernatural fans, unfortunately. The Strain (and the vamps on there are generally some chumps compared to what’s going on in CW-land) will be finished after Season 4… Van Helsing on SyFy was terribly disappointing to me (it is yet another show where most of the vampires are some LAME ass weaklings.)… and I’m not sure what happened to the tv series version of The Lost Boys that I heard was in production. Quick research—yep, nothing new apparently since that same link I saw months ago-- http://deadline.com/2016/08/the-lost-boys-tv-series-based-on-movie-the-cw-rob-thomas-1201805716/
Like I said, what about the originals as in the original pack? Remember that episode where one of the brothers. In TVD told Elena that he doesn’t sparkle b cause he read a little bit of Twilight…
Just saw episodes 801, 802, and 803 of The Vampire Diaries. Damn so this siren huh…
Yeah, at first I was not liking the Siren being the main villain here…but this season has finally grown on me a bit. It also helps that all 3 of the new girls on this season are hot (as per CW’s normal rules of “no uglies”, of course)… Selene is the #1 of the 3, imo.
I’m thinking Damon won’t be redeemed at this point since this is the end of the road for the series…and it might actually end with him being a pure villain, like the series started…and perhaps then… Steffen finally ends up having to kill his brother…? I don’t quite know where they are going with it all…should be interesting to see how this all comes to an end.
Depending on situations they could do one more season. A siren opened up infinite mythological possibilities. If CW was smart they could add succubus in season 9 and so forth…
