do you guys watch instant star or south of nowhere? I’ve caught up to all of the third season of instant star and that shit is like gold for drama. And unlike degrassi some people may make it off a virgin haha. degrassi everyone seems to get laid like no ones business besides the Christian girl.
i watched instant star when it first started coming on, but it seemed to get lame pretty fast. at school i don’t get the N so i can’t watch the rest of the shows although some of the chicks on that show with the surfers look pretty hot.
Degrassi is ok.
The character tiering is pretty strong, however. If you’re not top tier, you just won’t get much screen time, period. Think of how much Manny and Emma get compared Liberty, for example. So you’re sorta screwed if you’re not cool with the main characters. Also, it comes off as a bit cheesy sometimes. Like the whole, “Violence is WRONG” thing when those guys from the other school threatened and then jumped a Degrassi student. Gay.
SoN is pretty hardcore; that’s some decadent ass shit right there. I mean, peeps were having sex when I was in high school, but everyone just seems to be a rampant whore on that show. Lots of fansservice, too; its like if you’re a girl UNDER 17 on that show you HAVE to wear a mini-skirt for at least 40% of all your onscreen apperances.
I haven’t been able to catch IS from the beginning, and never bothered to jump in mid-stream because it just seems tacky and uninterestingly melo-drama-ish. I mean, at least SoN has the hook of decadence and Degrassi has the black/jewish hotness that is Liberty/Sarah Barrable-Tishauer (ahem, who is 19 btw 
). None of the bits or characters I’ve seen from IS have caught my fancy.

Ahem, anyway. Degrassi needs to end. Season 6 has been a big snorefest. It really saddens me that they are going to continue to milk it for a 7th season. The lower class just can’t support the show.
I also hate how Stacey(Ellie) doesn’t even try to act anymore. She’s not ellie. She’s just Stacey now. They actually all seem to come off as jaded now.
The latest season of SoN has been better than the past two seasons of Degrassi. I mean shit really heated once the parents found out about Spencer and Ashley. Sadly, I accidentally ran across spoilers for the whole next season :sad:
I <3 Alexz Johnson. More so back when she was a redhead. Instant Star is what it is. I’d be lieing if I said I’d still watch it if Alexz wasn’t in it though.
you all need to jump on the instant star bandwagon. you dont need to know alot to jump on season 3…or just look it up on wikipedia…i missed like all of season 2 and went straight to season 3. shit is awesome.

oh i just looked this up, Alexz Johnson, the girl who plays jude harrison played the main character replacement on the final season of so weird…that show was god tier back when disney tv shows were hella good. so weird…famous jett jackson, even stevens.

Degrassi is one of those shows you gotta see from the beginning to understand the chemistry of the characters. A lot of integrated past drama and character development.
