Degrassi/Vampire Diaries/teen dramas

ohoooo… did he become a vengeful spirit, perhaps? aka a “wraith”… that could be quite interesting as Steffen decided to try and keep that situation a secret (*a foolish idea, imo…but characters have to make foolish, terrible decisions occasionally for the sake of plot)…

As usual, Nina and the other girls were looking absolutely incredible in this episode.

*Once again–if ever there was a live-action Devil May Cry-- Ian “Damon” Somerhalder IS that dude, man. Imagine him with the white hair, the trenchcoat and the Rebellion sword, folks. That’s the guy right there.

Loophole City 1

  • so the Spirit World is breaking down. The Travelers are trying to break a curse against their people. I don’t really care about them and frankly their powers are lame.

  • Enzo’s ex is apparently dead. Hes accusing Stefan of killing her. He’s got new witch “Liv” under his thumb so he forces her to hold them in a spell while he interrogates them.

  • Maggie… Oh shit! Maggie is the sexy chic from that cheerleader show I used to love. Hellcats. That’s what the show was called. Ohhhhh mannnn… I loved that show. I missed it so much for a while. I hope Maggie stays on the show. Even though she’s dead right now.

  • huh. Looks like Damon killed Maggie.

  • oh damn! Damon ripped her head off with his hand.

  • ooooh… Faced with the truth of Maggie’s killer, Enzo turns off his humanity so he can kill… Damon and Stefan?

  • fight breaks out. Enzo bites Liv, stabs Damon in the neck with a broken bottle, grabs Elena, and flees.

  • Stefan catches up with Enzo first.

  • Stefan and Enzo fight.

  • Liv is sexy.

  • she and Bonnie talk loopholes.

  • Damon finds Elena.

  • fuck. Stefan rips Enzo’s heart out. Literally. Like with his hands. Too bad. I kinda liked the guy.

  • how do you simply hug Elena Gilbert without your dick getting hard? Seems impossible.

  • Stefan doesn’t tell Damon he killed Enzo.

Next week… The travelers need more Doppleganger blood. Guess where they’re gonna get it?

I’d bet money that some people that watch this show on SRK don’t visit this thread because some of you can’t be bothered to adhere to the spoiler rule. But, stroke on.

That’s exactly why I don’t post in here…lol. Still subbed for when I catch up, though.

And that’s kind of bullshit.

I’m glad I force them off tbh. It’s part of the reason why I do it.

But I only “spoil” shit that happens for the current episode.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

I don’t visit the Green Arrow thread because of all the spoilers of shit that comes before the episodes even hit the street. What went on there (still goes on?) is real spoiling. Spoiler tags be damned.

Oh yeah, I forgot that the kill-scene on Maggie was goddamn awesome. Damon pulled a MK Fatality on that broad. Shame though, she was a cute one.

So, you’d rather use this thread as journal than discuss a show you’re passionate about with other people that enjoy it? I don’t see why you would deliberately make the thread unappealing to people that enjoy a show you like.

There are movies in theaters that have been out for weeks. If I divulged major plot points and endings of those movies, those would constitute spoilers- even if I somehow rationalized that it was the fault of people for not seeing the movies on opening night.

Some people work nights. And some people may just be getting into the series via Netflix or DVDs. Maybe they’d like to discuss the show to some capacity. But you’re right; fuck them.

Glad we agree.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

I think Chun Li & the Beast got cancelled. Haven’t seen it on Monday’s anymore.

That show was awful. I wanted to like it, but shit…

But isn’t that the risk you take when entering a thread based on a television show or movie?

I understand with a movie there should be details that are spoiler tagged, different countries with different release dates and not everyone goes on opening week(end) makes that a courtesy. But that should last for only a limited (but still reasonable) time window.

Now tv shows are a different story, there’s multiple episodes and seasons to account for. There has to be a reasonable expectation that in order to talk about said show, you’d have to have seen the latest episode that aired last. A movie only requires one viewing while a show requires multiple, so complaining about being spoiled when it comes to which episode seems counterproductive to talking about the show in the first place.

The best thing to do is if you haven’t seen said movie or series episode(s)? Don’t enter the thread based on that particular movie or tv series until you’ve caught up. I mean let’s be real here, it’s that simple instead of expecting those who’ve been keeping up to bite their tongue on the one reason they came to the thread for.

Yea that’s the thing… I don’t typically go into a thread about any show or movie until I have seen it.

That’s terrible of Beast got canned…it was already bad enough that they wrote the cute sister/roommate off the show. Anyway, they had added a decently hot redhead on there this past season if I recall, and Kristin’s partner was looking seriously hot lately. Her problem was inconsistency, but in the recent episodes, she was in top form every time. If she gained a few more curves/booty she would be Legend-status with me.

@BigDewey‌ I agree with a reasonable amount of time. “As it airs” isn’t it. I think there are some loose guidelines.

Look at the Supernatural thread. I don’t think any of us in there have had an issue giving people a couple weeks to get caught up. As long as we’re being real, hitting a button isn’t such a great hardship.

After some research, it seems Chun Li and the Beast will be returning on June 2nd.

I wonder where they’ll put it?

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

I didn’t like it on Mondays. I did like it after the Loophole City shows though.

I was the last person to comment on the Supernatural thread, in December 2013, and now we’re in April 2014 transitioning to May.

If no one is commenting on the show after several months, then it eliminates the point of having the thread in the first place? I still watch the show, but find it pointless to participate in the thread when I’m the only one talking about it, which means the thread will be forgotten and users won’t come to it anymore.

It’s already ridiculous to think like that considering there’s only a handful of users in the television thread (which should be spoiler tagged because of various tv episode discussions), and the Arrow thread is packed with it’s own users who actively watch and openly discuss the show knowing there’s spoilers present.

Maybe we should put a “Spoilers Beware!” in every header, but it should be obvious to know not to enter a thread without knowing about said show. Why take the time to enter a thread about a show, and complain about spoilers for the show that you’re not currently watching? Wouldn’t it be smarter to use that time to catch-up on the show so you can talk about it?

I do actively watch Vampire Diaries and avoid this thread if I’m not current on the latest episode.

Supernatural’s thread may be all but dead, but nothing about this one suggests that the color commentary is conducive to discussion either.

If you’re content with what is almost literally a circle jerk of a thread, then I’ll leave you to it. But I enjoy the show and would be keen on talking about it with more people that do. And I don’t understand an aversion to that itself or clicking a button.

The Spirit World breaking down is also affecting everyone on The Originals, as we’ll see Michael Mikaelson come back next week…

R3ven83…

I missed much of this show this season so I’m on-demanding to catch up.

  • a new rival to Victoria played by Gail o’grady’s character has seemingly bought Victoria’s mansion. She’s also jack’s bio-mom.

  • Emily has been having blackouts. Violent ones. She now wants to kill all the Graysons. Like… Now.

  • Daniel seems to still be married to Emily. Don’t know what happened to that chic on the side he was in love with.

  • apparently in the previous episode, Emily had a one-on-one battle with Aidens girlfriend. Emily kicked her ass and let her live.

  • damn, Victoria still looks good.

  • Nolan is still bi. Seems to still be in love with Victoria’s gay son, Patrick.

  • apparently Nolan connected Patrick with his dad who raped Victoria. He’s dead now though.

  • aiden kidnapped Emily during one of her blackouts. He tied her up and keeps dunking her head in a tub of water to unlock her unconscious and stop her from blacking out.

  • jacks moms name is Stevie.

  • huh. Apparently Stevie used to be married to Conrad. He left her for Victoria.

  • Emily/Amanda is such a high pretty.

  • huh. Stevie Grayson fucked jacks dad while they were both married and she skipped town.

  • huh. Apparently Patrick has killed a few motherfuckers in defense of Victoria. But he’s leaving town now. We’ll see how long it lasts.

  • huh. Stevie is a recovering alcoholic. For 30 years? Lolololol. Yeah ok.

  • oooooh. Daniel had a spy looking after Emily when she kissed aiden after helping her conquer her blackouts. Divorce on deck?

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

Lots of eps to chronicle until I catch up.

The dialogue on this show is so good. It’s just got an unfortunate time slot.

3-23 episode of Reven83…

  • Apparently Stevie visited Emily’s father in prison. Why? Well, Emily plans to find out.

  • with pics out Emily kissing aiden in tow, Daniel plans on finally having a reason to divorce her.

  • huh. Jacks girlfriend is back in town. Forgot her name.

  • her dad is in town too. Stirring up shit. He’s got a fancy accent like his daughter. Marscal pascal I think is his name.

  • Daniel drops his pipe-bomb. Emily plays her role, but she wanted to get a divorce anyway. Just only on her terms.

  • huh. Stevie knows Emily is hiding some things. She wants to help. But Emily says no.

  • Nolan and jack team up so jack can find some files on Emily’s fathers old murder/conspiracy case.

  • fuck. This show is impossible to narrate. It’s so fucking good. It moves so well. The dialogue is so great.

  • jack gets the tapes. He drops them off to Emily who wants him to stay out of her reven83 plots.

  • everyone important except for aiden is at the opera. Somehow, a leak hits the interwebs that Emily faked her pregnancy to get married to Daniel. I’m confused because usually, Emily is on top of shit like this. But Emily seems shocked and hurt.

  • fuck. Emily did plan that shit. But why? What’s the new plan now?

  • shit. This shit is so good.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

Pascal has become the new target. Awesome! More good old fashioned revenge on deck.
