Injustice action near the end, I know a bit about Nightwing but I wanna know more for when I’m commentatting and any tips I can give to Phantom17.

perhaps but since i see this as more of a fun game than a competitive one. I wanted to play who i liked in the game. Wing is cool and all but he’s lacking tools buff this kid badly.

I’m guessing you don’t use staff stance. He has all the tools he needs for mix-ups in that stance.
Says game is only for fun to him, wants to play who he likes. Doesn’t play who he likes.
Trust me, stick with Dick. He’s a very rewarding character.
A, you have no clue how to use him at all if you think he needs to be buffed at all (other than his Scatter Bombs which are awful).
B, if he got buffed, he’d likely be the outright best character in the game.
I can think of one small buff. It would be nice if the third hit of his b112 string hit low. Other than making scatter bombs not suck there’s nothing Nightwing needs. He’s fine the way he is.
thanks HighonPCP. The visual helps. Nasty combos. I think im going to change the controls on my fightstick and flip R1 and R2 so i can have meter burn right next to my med hit on top. After watching that video i need to put in some serious work cause that was nasty. Damn nightwing is awesome

I’m assuming Grundy is one of them as the last hit of the MB version whiffs when he crouches

Nightwing vs Hawkgirl (Superman too I guess haha)
WHAT DO I DO?!
She’s airborne the whole time zoning so it’s really hard when the only attack that hits her is jump B in staff stance!
I try my best to push her into the corner slowly with dashes after a blocked mace, with the occasional flying Grayson but there has to be a better way of dealing with this.I’m getting timed out way to often for all of the effort I’m putting into.
Same idea applies for the Superman matchup too lol.

Fellow nightwing player here. I’m glad there is such enthusiasm for him he is a great character. Unfortunately I don’t possess the ability to post a video for this but it is easy to confirm on your own. After the staff spin MB confirm in the corner there is a nasty mixup though it only works if you remain in staff mode. By altering the timing of a jump immediately after the knockdown you can land either in front or behind them. Asap jump will land behind. Delaying it ever so slightly will keep them on the same side. Nightwing will not change direction until he an attack. The change is so subtle that the opponent won’t know which side nightwing is on until they stand up. I’m still testing the applications but it seems promising.

Well if you’ve heard me ranting everywhere you’d know that I think that Hawkgirl is by far Nightwing’s worst matchup. In my opinion it’s definitely 7-3. She never has to come into the zones where Dick can actually do shit to her until she feels like it. Some of her flight normals and jump normals actually beat out his j3. And if she pushes you to the corner…good fucking luck getting out.

Sounds solid, I noticed a bit of this when I was playing earlier today and abusing MB Staff Spin more. I’ll do some work on it when I get the chance.
Haven’t heard it said, but f213 xx df2, j3, f213 xx df2, j3 xx db1 works in the corner for 38% meterless. Timing on the first j3 is a little wierd.
