Defective Upon Arrival

Looking to buy a new stick for SFV and while doing research I found out (and I’m sure this is not new for most of you) that the TE2+ & Razer Panthera have instances where they were defective as new products.
Is it “safe” to purchase either of these?
I’m not sure if one of them is better than the other and more importantly, if they’ll be defective when I get one.
Obviously if it’s defective you return the item for another but it’s certainly a hassle returning items until you get a copy that’s not defective.
Opinions/Experiences please…

Panthera is WAAAAAAAAAAay safer.

TE2 and TE2+ PCB’s suck a lot. it’s a lottery.

Panthera tends to suffer a lot with it’s USB Cable, which is stored in a very little box, aside from that i’d go for the Panthera as your first purchase

Is the issue with the Panthera USB cable only that it doesn’t fit in the box or is there also a problem with.performance as well?

It does fit in the box, but it takes a little work to put in there so it may twist too much. Most people just put the cable inside loose to make it easier and faster.

Don’t be scared off by the T.E.2+, most pcb issues are really just bad diodes and you can easily fix it by removing the diodes. YouTube te2 diode fix. Panthera is also a great stick although I find the build quality of the TE2 a little nicer.
