The problem is Doom’s missiles. Eliminate that and Morrigan is less of a problem. Use Storm in the 2nd slot and Morrigan in the 3rd slot to build meter. DHC into Storm’s hail storm to punish Doom’s missiles assist and take out the garbage.
The Cisco/InsertNameHere back and forth was brilliant. I’ve missed SRK lol.
For a on-topic comment, I’d like to see a if Chris G could beat Flocker’s team or if Zero/Vergil/Strider actually does beat MorriDoom
I think once Morrigan players learn to evade and counter poke Strider assist better Morri/Doom will have more of a leg up vs. the team. I still think Zero/Jam overall is more oppressive vs. Morr/Doom than Zero/Strider. Zero/Jam doesn’t have the tracking but on block or hit it does so much more for Zero specifically than Strider. Especially since he has to have a buster fully charged or burn XF1 while near her to get the OTG pick up. Otherwise has to settle for oki off the hard knockdown. It also shoots at the perfect angle for absorbing some aerial soul fists.
As people get better with anchor Dante he’ll pull his weight more also. Either way both ZMC and Zero May Stride are 2 of the strongest teams vs. Morri/Doom and will eventually do well enough to be solid counters.
Would you say Zero/Dante (Jam Session)/Strider would be a better counter than Flocker’s team?
And also, though Jam Session may be better on block on hit, would Jam Session be any better than Vajra if Morrigan’s at a distance to Zero? And hopefully people could convert off throws/hard knockdowns with their other assists?
Final comment, with Flocker and Chris G at ECT5, I felt that it was more Zero on his own that Chris G had an issue dealing with. rather than the Strider assist?
Zero fucked up in general if he is pushed full screen. If you are pushed full screen Viper+Jam/Vajra. session does much much better than Zero. Once Zero gets pushed out its activate sogenmu, dhc or Zero dies. Morrigan can easily dash past Strider calls or use shadow blade fly cancels to snipe him if he’s coming down. Since Zero isn’t doing a whole lot from full screen without Sogenmu its not that bad for her.
Zero/Dante/Strider would be a stronger overall counter other than Dante/Strider being a bit low on the damage DHC wise. Vergil is a better XF2 character than Dante also. As long as Zero stays alive it really fucks with Morri and you get a better assist to clear up missiles with jam.
Strider helped both Zero and Vergil win the match, but I felt it was more due to Chris Gs inexperience vs. vajra and Dark Strider.
Zero has all the tools to escape and counter kill Morridoom by himself, adding Strider along makes him stronger. Strider’s assist is the assist that has been shown to be the best at fighting morridoom because it knocks her down fast or gives her a small delay.
The whole Zero/Dante/Strider or Zero/Vergil/Strider really depends, they are both even and it depends on the sort of control over situations. Zero has all control over Morrigan/Doom with Jam and Vajira but what Zero/Vergil/Strider excels in is that it has a better plan B which is a plan in dealing with the opponents Vergil.
Captain America (charging star), Doom (missles), Arthur (daggers). Captain’ Hyper Charging Star goes through all the projectiles and hits point and assist. Doom Missles can keep Morrigan out of the sky and Arthurs Daggers can force Morrigan to block. The Doom/Arthur shell works simular to the Morridoom shell, but take a lot less skill if you have Doom on point He can fire off all sorts of projectiles while arthur makes it unsafe to be on the ground. With level two Xfactor you can quickly chip out morrigan and force the player to panic and play unsafe. And their Doom has no answer to missles/daggers
From my experience as a Cap main, charging star and hidden missiles isn’t a foolproof strategy. Charging star isn’t full screen and can be caught out during it’s start up and recover; you will need to be within range to catch your opponent with it. Morrigan has better buttons than Captain America so easily beats him to the punch.
And I think hidden missiles air control ability is overstated. Chris G has beaten a range of people who use Hidden Missiles with his MorriDoom team including Filipino Champ. And people have become much more adept in dealing with hidden missiles through anticipating it, plink-dashing away from it etc. Furthermore, hidden missiles doesn’t over Cap any protection. Captain America’s only real way of making a hidden missile call safe is to put your opponent in blockstun, and hyper stars and stripes, with the missiles covering his recovery from the hyper. So you’ll be spending a meter for chip damage (unless your able to catch your opponent with an unanticipated CS).
I would personally suggest using Captain America with plasma beam as it is a full screen beam which is highly durable (more so than Iron Man’s unibeam) to try and counter the multiple projectiles, and Strider’s Vajra for air control. But still, I think this team would only give Captain America a fighting chance at best; what happens in an actual match is very different than what we may theorize.
Cap doesn’t do good against a good Morrigan and most of those assist calls won’t be coming out because of the constant fireballs/missiles coming at you. I’ve beaten Morrigan and Morridoom players with Cap, but it was by outplaying them not because Cap beats Morridoom.
The best right now are the top 3 points with the right assist(vajira or jam)… Top 3 points being Zero, Viper, and Wolverine. All 3 have the necessary tools to take her. Wolverine doesn’t have any far screen options but he is fast enough to suffocate her and he only requires one opening.
I still keep log trap as a potential anti-morridoom assist when used right.
Who hacked Cisco’s account and made reasonable comments with it?
Defeating morrigan/doom/vergil (AGE ChrisG’s team)
On point with strange, survive until you have two meters, not a bad time to use a meter build assist. When doom gets called, counter hyper the next soul fist, XF at end, and read book of death to doom. It doesn’t matter if morrigan gets hit or put in blockstun, your target is doom.
Now without the assist, morrigan becomes much less of a threat. Use her lifetime to rebuild your resources. Your opponent would not want to deprive vergil of lvl3 XF because of it’s duration, so now your going to BS for a while and let morrigan live while building your meter.
When you have a comfortable level of meter and if the opportunity arises, snap vergil in and kill him if you can. then morrigan. If you can’t snap vergil in and morrigan dies, prepare a solution for vergil. Now you want to bait XF and use all your resources to burn it’s time limit.
Solo vergil with no XF against your full team should be an easy win. possible team examples are listed below.
Strange/Morrigan/Strider
ouroborus should help take down vergil or burn his XF time, not too viable as it lacks a neutral game assist for strange (vajra unconfirmable by strange in most cases). Could DHC to morrigan when you get the meter after doom death so that you have your own morrigan backed up with vajra.
Strange/Doom/Ammy
doom and ammy THC is 2 meter ouroborus basically, used to take down vergil. This could be more preferable so that strange has a good assist (doom).
Strange/frank/dante
Gives jam or weasel for neutral assist and frank could actually go with shopping cart if your brave, lvl5 frank beats everyone (impact palm hard tag, agamotto gives frank extra snap, frank/dante is obvious level up method).
Sure theirs others too and since you only need to build one meter at start of match the meter build assist isn’t necessary but can make life a lot easier. Strange is a hella hard character to use and surviving till you get that meter and having enough life to wait for that assist can be tough. Not the most guaranteed counter-pick method, but chrisg has been playing his team for too long that someone needs to start thinking up ultra-cheap methods to counteract him. Could use F.Champs method with dorm point building up to 5 meters and find a moment to dhc to strange counter while doom is on field.
I don’t know a lot about marvel but…wouldn’t gold hisenko beat morridom game?

I don’t know a lot about marvel but…wouldn’t gold hisenko beat morridom game?
nope, you eat unscaled fireballs
gold hsien-ko would win but the above post is right. Unscaled soulfists hurt… a lot. If hsien-ko had a way to get close to morrigan she would though.
Gold hsien-ko does beat vergil though. The swords don’t do much damage and if your getting hit by the swords your close enough to either hit vergil, throw him, or put him in blockstun, all of which stops the pain. gotta love god-tier hypers on F-tier characters.
what about bionic lancer DHC into gold hisenko? that way she’ll get in,be safe and kill morridoom
Hsien Ko doesn’t do any damage so getting in and killing (with her sub par movement and mix up) isn’t really feasible. Hsien Ko wouldn’t do much more than be a low tier hero for a game or 2 and then it wouldn’t work anymore. You’d need Morrigan herself on the team to get enough meter to make that scenario reliable because it’s not realistic to get in for sure on the first armor up. Especially not Morrigan who can just flight plink dash runaway.
The best thing Hsien-Ko can contribute to an anti-MorriDoom strategy is Gold Armor Gong, which is very good at reflecting projectiles but its active frames are relatively poor.
Gold Armor Hsien-Ko can’t do anything to Vergil. All he has to do is plink dash away and let Rimoukon run out.
has anyone tried chris/shuma yet? whether or not people wanna accept it, morrigan is intentionally designed to deal with the current top-tier. players are gonna have to step outside of the current norm if they wanna beat it consistently. edit: or is the real problem vergil anchor?

what about bionic lancer DHC into gold hisenko? that way she’ll get in,be safe and kill morridoom
Because Hsien-Ko’s magically going to get a hit when she’s in Morrigan’s face, right?
If Lei-Lei was the answer we’d have seen evidence of it months ago.
