DeeJay General Discussion

Thanks to the lab

Tampa Bison is free Kappa

How do I rape your bison is less than 60 seconds and say I wouldn’t get 5 games in a FT10 lol

I’m going to the World Team Cup in France next month. Hopefully i can show a good Dee Jay on screen. Will practice a lot the following 4 weeks. Lotsa training mode will hopefully improve my Dee Jay.

Good luck. i have a colleague in france who studied abroad in America last semester. He’s a yang player named Neilunik.

lol one of your colleague’s turned out to be a Yang player on the French scene? That’s awesome.

yeah. he posted on SRK that he was coming here. long story short. He ended up becoming a friend and its a shame we only had 4 months to get to know each other. that’s the reason i am saving to travel to france. i’m going to prove that France can’t handle a real deejay.

he was a low level player, but i helped him immensely

I may be heading over with the Irish SF players to Cannes, France as well.
Mostly for the fun of travel and to fight some players outside the Dublin scene.

I am absolutely willing to admit that I’m garbage though, so I’m a little worried about getting blown up on the stream.

Not too sure how to bring about a drastic improvement in my play in the time left to me though.

Well that depends what level you’re at, but a safe bet is just to crisp up the execution of your combos, especially the short, simple ones ending in cr.mk, which will give you not only additional damage, but much more control over spacing and the pace of the match. When I started hitting those at 100% accuracy way back in my Dee Jay career, I experienced a huge jump in success. Good luck!

I have a tiny question. What the hell do I do against low attacks on knockdown? Some characters have some pretty sweet CH setups against crouch teching, and Adon destroyes me once I’m on the ground. I’ve tried focus backdashing, but with DJs dash, I often get caught with some OS focus breaking shenanigans.

Do you mean attacks that hit low specifically, or just attacks done by a crouching opponent?

I think it might be a bad habit of mine, but I sometimes throw out EX-MGU just to show that I’m willing.

Any Ryus I play who like going for meaty cr.mp on my wakeup get caught by this (hopefully into Ultra) and it makes them play a bit more cautiously.

block

Does anyone remeber how much hit and throw invu deejays EX moves have? They are removed from the framedata page :frowning:

Which Ex moves are you talking about? If it’s MGU, i think it’s just one frame. EX sobat, you don’t want to try and throw it anyway, and who the hell does EX slashes in throw range?

i think ex mgu has 3 invu frames against attacks and 5 againts throws. EX sobat FADC is a viable when you desperatly need a break. EX slash obviously dont have any invu. EX upkicks i have no clue.

But all this is guessing, i want the raw hard data

I’ll try to get some move notes for the wiki up, I have that data sitting around, need to find my knockdown time notes too.

Will try to get it up tonight.

If anyone has pc version and ono they can easily check that stuff themselves though.

i can buy the pc version. let me know how to find the data and i’ll put in the work.

I’d wait till 2012 drops on pc to see if there are any hidden deejay changes. There will probably be a sale then too.

You can analyze moves using the ono moveset editor, which is explained in this thread.

I have the super hitbox vids, the ae hitbox pictures, and the patch notes, I should be able to piece everything together for the time being no problem. Save your money for Big Two

Balrog/Honda/bison setup

Forward throw, mk upkicks, meaty slide

Removes his back charge

Stuffs all headbuts, avoids EX headbut and puts you point blank to punish him.

-1 or -2 on block (could not punish with jabs)

Safe against wakeup tap.

All buttslash wiff, LK can hit you on the way down, but you can block/punish it easy with upkicks juggle, st.mp or another slide into U2 if you are realy quick. All other buttslashes are free punish with pretty much whatever you want

EX mgu can catch them trying to throw you after the slide.

Bison you can punish is a bit tricky. You can OS ex dreads and it will hit his teleport and avoid EX headstomp. He probably can hit you with devils reverse if he expects it

forever free in the mirror match

Was that targeted at me? I need to know lol. I was learning all kinds of new nonsense as I was playing. Somethin was tellin me "ya know, you really should FADC that EX Sobat"
I was rightfully punished for not doing so.
