DO IT
Pshht, you know that shit was broke. But hey, news that it has been changed at all brings hope. Less chip damage is something I would gladly trade for, well almost any U1 improvement at all.

I’m way too casual.
They didn’t notice what if anything was improved to it though. That’s no good.
Dee Jay better get some buffs. If Dudley, Mak, and Hakan did then Dee Jay is certainly justified.
Who needs to be hardcore to give an opinion? I’m just curious as to why you particularly like Standing Heavy Kick when a lot of people hate it. Range? Speed? Hitbox that tends to beat a lot of stuff? etc.
Maybe the situation didn’t come up. For example in a few snatched minutes of playtime it would be unlikely to see the situaton that say…Dee Jay’s Ultra 1 now gets all the hits on a juggle as all the times it was landed it was either blocked or against a grounded opponent so the only thing they could see different was the chip damage.
I was lurking the Wiki and translated this…
“EX EX slide speed up to about Sonic”
Mostly the range on it. I think it’s kind of nice for a character like Dee Jay (who got boned in the footsies dept.) to have a normal with a little range even though the startup is ass. I find that I can connect with it pretty regularly if I tack it on the end of block strings that end with Air Slasher.
So. It sounds like either Air Slasher or Slide was sped up right?
Air slasher because it would make sense to be sped up to about the speed of Sonic (Boom) but slide because it says “Slide speed up” hell fingers crossed for both.
So what’s wrong with it hitting Overhead now.
You can still do that right?
I’m wondering why you would have a problem with them simply having to stand to block it with no other reported change.
Well, I guess, if all other properties of s.rh were maintained, having it as an overhead would just be icing on the cake. But, it sounded like the overhead may have been a slower version of the existing technique. Plus, the range on it might make it a little weird to incorporate into vortex.
Homework project.
The above Ex * Ex slide nonsense unbutchered by Google Translate is this…
Can anyone find out anything from that using the below link? I’m trying but I can’t concentrate. It’s way too late for me…Half 5 in the morning.
^post it somewhere else, hopefully someone else can translate it, cuz I don’t think anybody in the DJ forum speaks japanese.
SOOO, my friend found out that you can hit DJ after a cr. LP > cr. LP xx EX MGU on hit, while your cancelling into the EX MGU with EX messiah or other invincible moves. Even on hit, when it should be a combo, it can still be beat out. Has this happened to anyone else, because it kind of sounds like a problem if people can hit you out of things that should be combos.
never heard of that. has he tested it in training to confirm that that was the case and not something else?
no I’m going to test it today. He plays rufus and ibuki, and he sometimes mashes EX messiah or w/e during my links. But I know that I don’t miss my cr. LP > cr. LP xx EX MGU combo. And he did it like 3 or 4 times, throughout our matches. No way I dropped that many combos, I need to test it though. Everybody says that you can’t get hit out of a combo, so if I’m right then DJ needs fixing. If I’m wrong I guess I’m dumb lol.
I tested it in training mode and
nothing
I landed the full combo everytime.
I dunno that sounds really strange.
I’d like to hear the results of other people’s tests though.
nvm, it must have been on block, and I remembered wrong. Forget I even said anything. Just note that cr. LP/MP xx EX MGU can be reversaled if you cancel into it on block
^I don’t even understand how this would work, especially if otherwise the combo is shown onscreen as a combo. Surely that means that Rufus has never returned to a state where he can perform moves? If true, sounds like a pretty lame glitch.
EDIT: Forget I said anything
I had something similar to happen. I hope that my eyes was playing tricks on me twice.Rufus mashed out EX messiah and interrupt this combo --> j.mk > cr.lp > cr.lp > cr.lp xx ES AS. The second air slasher didn’t hit.
Either the game glitched, the recovery screwed up, or you dropped the combo.
Xbox Live??? You can get hit out of any combo online. LOL. That happens ALL the time. I’ve gotten hit while mashing jabs while the connection was even a LIL janky. I get whooped by scrubs all the time if they running shoto and the connection is even slightly off.
We all need to face that online is advantageous for non charge characters.
it sucks not being able to mash a reversal.
