This method works wonders xD
lmao
xD idk if its just me, but after doing it in training mode like this, it seems WAAAY easier.
Good Stuff.
Cool , happy to have helped.
interesting. i do the same but the opposite direction on the instant spd motion
Anyone know if there is a SRK group for DeeJay because if not I’m about to start one?
spd forward works as well?
my mind is blown, i will have to try that tomorrow.
It make sense after I’ve thought about it. All you need is db, any fwd motion, db, any up motion.
I need a gimmick for the p2 side so this might be what I’m looking for.
Started up a group for SRK DeeJay players!!
Its called: Dread Kicks and Jerk Chicken
Great idea to start a group for DJs! Probably the warmest character-community I’ve seen for SSFIV.
I think that once you start to see dash or walk U2 become a standard part of all high level DJ play, it’s going to be difficult to see DJ as anything less than upper tier. The only thing holding him back is the extremely demanding nature of his combos into ultra. But they’re there, they just need to be integrated into regular play.
I agree though, that when this happens, the DJ forum is going to explode with people saying that they’ve always loved DJ. From what I understand, that’s exactly what happened to Adon post-Gamerbee.
BTW Jcool, where can I find vids of your DJ? I keep hearing good things
LOL i’m flattered but Hatrify/Verify has some great gameplay. my playstyle is different but if you’re interested
youtube.com/dweeb813 watch the newer videos. the older vids are trash. The deejay vs grapplers is solid, but my opponents were eh.
I gotta try this out too.
I’ve gotten so-so at the walk -> U2. The Dash version is so hard for me that i focus most of my practice on the walk.
Why is the dash version preferred by more people? Is it because it hits all characters? (whereas the walk version whiffs on certain characters?)
Are there any characters that are known for hanging in the air longer? Or being more “juggle-able”? From certain combo videos I’ve seen, it seems that Balrog is the preferred “juggling dummy”.
I ask this because i like to practice with slightly easier conditions, if possible, until i get the hang of it. Then i gradually make the conditions more difficult (turn on CPU in training, attempt in real match, attempt with my mom watching, etc.)
Dash ultra all ways hits after the ex mgu unlike the walk. But the walk is great against most of the cast. I’d rather learn dash just so i can’t get the guaranteed ultra. Walk is good when you’re close to the corner.
Is Deejay Bob Marley? Because I swear to god I always hear “Buffalo soldier” whenever I play as him.
Hey I might be able to play some xbl matches because my roommate has an xbox. I just need to borrow my friends copy of super and learn how to mod a stick.
Is modding a ps3 stick difficult?
From what I understand you need a 360 Fightpad PCB and a chimp.
i found myself playing HDR not too long ago and DeeJay used to have so much frame advantage from his pokes which created a lot of opportunities
cl. mp, st. mp linked. cammy got to keep her essential ST links but deejay got slapped.
i really wish they would make cr. jab cr. mp a 2 frame link and cr. jab cr. hp work w/o CH
st. mk negative on hit?
i hope with the arcade version deejay gets some buffs. I think they are going to make Gen godly again lol
Yeah, let’s hope for some better frame data in the arcade version. If c.jab > c.strong would really be a 2 framer it would really give you something to work with, combos would be so much easier and I don’t think it would make him imbalanced on high level play, just make it easier for starters. And of course, make it easier to combo into Ultra/Ultras.
Even if Gen is gonna be good, I don’t think many people would pick him up, because he is just so awkward to use. At least that’s what I’m thinking about him.
i see what you mean. he is weird to use but if he becomes good people will atleast try. this community saddens me sometimes.
cr. mp doesn’t even cancel in ST. wtf.
less knock back on jab would be nice too or give him a rog jab.
Considering how many Adon’s we got after the dawn of Gamerbee, I hope Gen stays just as awkward and even harder to use. I like this version of Deejay, not more then his SF2 counterpart, but I’m more of a fan of 3S then I am 2.
Looking forward to some of the knew upkick friendly matchups with Yun and Yang being added. But while we’re on the topic of 3s, anyone of us few looking to pickup a new character? I’ve already said Elena, but with Poison, and R. Mika, Rolento, and all that already being chatted up about I’m just curious.
