Yep going from DB to UP Forward is an old shortcut to doing guiles super in ST which is the same motion as DJ U2 in this game, if memory serves me right.
It’s also how you do one of Charlie’s best combos in Alpha.
Mission complete! I can do it from both sides of the screen confidently!
Its official i can do dash U2 on both sides now now i gotta make it consistent.
So, I think I started looking at this thread a few months ago, trying to get my form down. Well, I think it’s official that I have nearly mastered dash Ultra 2 and oh god the best decision I’ve ever made as a DeeJay player. Changes so many of my tactics where I try and land an EX MGU in a combo so I can set up that Climax Beat. So satisfying too. Even with the damage nerf, it’s a great quick burst of damage that every aspiring DeeJay player should know and master. Worth it in every way.
Mastered, 100% both sides. Took me about a week all-in-all, very happy I can hit this in matches without choking now considering this is his only comeback tool. I’ve won games that I was sure I was going to lose because of it.
Congrats dude. I haven’t sunk any time into learning this. Probably should.
I remember the salt reply you gave me when I mentioned it before lelelelel.
It’s not something that’s required because honestly scenarios where you can land it are usually near the corner anyway, but if you did ever get a mid-screen EX MGU being able to get this afterwards is such a good follow-up.
I barely use it now in matches and use H.Sobat > Super more often to be honest, and because I rarely ever play anymore I’ve gotten rusty at it and drop it sometimes on the right side.
I really like hit confirming into Super. The cancel into U1 doesn’t do a tremendous amount of damage unless you’re going off of something like a raw st.HK into Super into U1 to reduce the scaling.
I still like U2 for great focus crumple scoops too though.
