Yeah, I can definitely see 6-4 (Dee Jay) now.
However, Gens still have a reason to use U2: it allows them to get in, where they can do more damage. Landing the ultra might not be the main reason behind selecting it; the threat of it is enough to freeze the opponent’s fireball game.
Desperately need help with the gief match up. It seems against a “good” gief, deejay loses. Even on knockdown, no safe way to escape the corner, which, you will end up in. Giefs grab range is just to ridiculous to be at any distance to do any damage. I usually slide tackle jumps, but a footsie gief who inches forward properly, its over, your in the corner, and lose.
Any vids or advice?

that’s pretty much how it goes.
hk and mk sobat are unthrowable for 11f.
use sobats to keep him at bay and hopefully guessing jump.
space them right and you can’t get SPD’d, but you’re probably get combo’d.
use nj. mk, but don’t abuse
that’s about all i know right now. i’ll add more when it comes to my consciousness. most of the knowledge i have is subconscious.
Added a couple of notes on Ken/Guile.
Age snake eyes gief first round of nec. Baw. Beat a ryu then a Cammy, lost to a fei, close game though.
Da knut went to losers finals

Players using characters with good forward dashes tend to focus attack, dash through fireballs and throw. I think the best option for that is by OS because characters like Bison and Ken can throw you out of your normal startup frames. especially Ken’s kara throw. If you throw a fireball and you see your opponent focus, input st.lk, st.lp and st.mk at the same time. You should either tech the throw or hit them with a st.mk. if you land a st.mk, then follow up with a sweep or another combo
I usually have cr fierce ready for that focus
if you stand and press those buttons at the same time you get throw.
i usually use cr. mk but the range isn’t that great. might switch to cr. hp like slim, but playing against dudley’s so much has forced me to switch to faster buttons.
Cr fierce for bison, st me for the rest since u can usually walk back and get charge for the combo. It just depends on the spacing. For rog, I usually use cr mk if it looks like the overhead thingie, or if its the full lunge, I use slide.
try switching to st. fierce so you get the CH Launcher
I’m afraid of the st HP whiff.
when safe jumping bison (cr fierce after throw), cross up using mk and option select with crouch fierce again.
it hits bison when he tries to escape with psycho crusher, atleast it worked for me once, didnt test in training mode.
Same here. I tend to avoid it because of it just grazing them and not doing anything, kinda like Honda butt slams.
what is the general consensus of DJ’s worst 3 matches / why ?
Typically I find Dee Jay’s three worst matchups for me to be Akuma, Guile and Chun-Li. No one else ever gives me too much trouble, but those three…
I think they are Seth, Fei and Akuma; maybe add Dhalsim in there. Those are just mine though.
Yun, Blanka and Fei Long. DJ players will have different opinions with worst 3 matchups. And that’s because he lack tools
I think you were the one to say Fei exposes Dee Jay for all your bad habits and character flaws overall, right?
i agree with Blanka and Dhalsim. Dhalsim is basically 7-3 in Sim’s favor.
Don’t agree with Yun. Maybe because I’ve never played a super solid Yun but it always felts even if not slightly in Yun’s favor.
yeah, all of his buttons win. I have a shit load of Anti Fei tech and it is still difficult
